One Stop: Euphoria: A Premier Wings Romance

Rate this book
Being spoiled rotten as a kid, Graham Taylor feels entitled to whatever he wants, including women. Having a past filled with questionable behavior and teetering on the verge of sexual harassment, he realizes it’s beyond time for him to grow up. He goes through a career change in his thirties and knows that is where he should have been all along. He is overly concerned with meeting women that he can conquer, even when he meets the woman that takes his breath away. She’s ten years his junior, but in his mind, she’s grown and has a career, and that’s more than enough for what he wants from her.

Struggling and grinding to get to the top can cause an extreme amount of stress, desperation, and disconnected interactions. Arlie Winston, who goes by the stage name SOLA, works hard for everything she has. Taking a flight from Houston to L.A. for a show, she meets a flight attendant that intrigues her. She knows at this stage in her music career, she can’t afford to let her guard down with anyone. He’s so irresistible until she convinces herself that she can handle just having him to fulfill her body’s desires without attachments. When he agrees to her proposal, she’s elated.

Things become complicated when their hearts and minds want to follow their physical needs. They both want more but are hesitant about saying so. When they finally do, both their worlds take traumatic hits. Arlie feels like her past drama and trauma will be a red flag for Graham, immediately deciding he doesn’t deserve that turmoil. Will Graham be able to get past what Arlie feels is unforgivable and continue to pursue a relationship with her, or will he confirm her assumptions and walk away?

Starting with poetry, writing has always been a constant in Monica's life. The interest began in her teenage years, being in love for the first time. Her love for writing has only progressed. Song lyrics and poetry led to short stories, then one day in her down time, a short story became a 56k word novel. It has been non-stop since then. Being a wife and mother, has only added to the joys of Monica's life. Attaining a BS in Sociology, helping her better understand people and their behaviors, has only helped her become a better writer, understanding characters and their complex personalities. Romance of all types has been her passion, and she plans to continue honing her skills in that genre.

The DRAMA!!

Lissen … the drama in the book had me glued. From Arlie to Graham to his momma and bio mom to, child, everybody got drama.

Oh. I also loved the sprinkle of God mixed in. It was a perfect fit.

I’m Your Future…Idc About Your Past!

Oh baby! This book had me ready to fight, cry tears of joy and sorrow, rap, dance, and wake my man up 😜. Graham was funny and real chill and didn’t take life serious until he needed to. It was awesome to see his change and growth. Meeting Sola changed his life in several unexpected ways. Sola was a beautifully written character that was relatable. She had a past that had her bound for years that she tried to keep hidden away. Tragedy strikes and he shows up in a big way for her solidifying what they already know…that what they had was worth exploring. It was brought to the forefront and she ran avoided everybody and doubled down on her studio time. His folks loved her and to see him his family and extended family go up in for the prayer for her wheww! The amount of love and encouragement shown to her would make cry and wish for the same for yourself. They gave her a family and assurance that they had her. Noelle 🙌🏾 baby she spoke life over her and I thought I’d need the ushers. This was well written. I absolutely loved it and I’m looking forward to the next books in this series 10/10 fr

Color me annoyed!

Because Graham and Sola who? This book couldn't have been about them. This was a dedication and recap of "The Sweet Series" and cheating a$$ Noah Brooks. Granted the author forwarned:

"you may recognize the main male character, Graham Taylor. He originated in my Sweet Series, and his mother, Sidney Taylor, appears in a lot of my books as an attorney, namely The Henderson Family Saga."

The last thing I expected was to see the entire family and cast of the series in this "standalone"

Respectful there is always time and space for RJ but it's forever F Noah Brooks.

💁🏾‍♀️"They were playing Exodus’s cut where he sampled Noah’s song that he’d dedicated to Sonya years ago. From what my mama had said, that was the beginning of the end of his first marriage when he let Exodus sample that song. He’d pulled it from the airwaves when he married Jah. That song was so damn beautiful. Noah had sung on the entire track. So it was only right that he was featured on the song, singing the hook for Exodus."

Really??!! Really!! IYKYK! Some of u won't get it, but this was a slap in the face to fans of the original series.

But I digress.
The MMC - a thirty something year old "millionaire", flight attendant whose family treats him like he's a kid.

FMC - a strugglin rapper trying to get her career off the ground.

A very spiritual Mr Brooks is mead to her through the familial connections. Says he's been following her career.

Her lyrics: 🎵 "I just wanna f🦆k tonight Come on through and stroke my p🐈‍⬛️y right She ain’t had d--k in a minute Please come through and drop that pole in it." 🤣😂

😒

I said what I said and as always: don't take my word for it. Read the book, form your own opinions, and support your authors! 🫶🏿📖👏🏾

This book had all the ingredients to be a bigger hit for me because the foundation was there.

I really liked Graham and Arlie together. Their chemistry was immediate, the attraction was undeniable, and the spice definitely delivered. Add in all the drama and the secrets slowly coming to light, and there was plenty happening that kept me turning the pages.

Where the book lost me was all the crossover characters. Since I haven't read the author's previous series, I felt like I had walked into the middle of someone else's conversation. There were so many moments focused on other characters and their ongoing storylines that I found myself getting pulled out of Graham and Arlie's story.

I don't mind interconnected worlds, but I still want to be able to enjoy each book on its own. Instead of getting more time with the main couple and the drama affecting their relationship, I felt like I was missing context that longtime readers already had.

Overall, I enjoyed Graham and Arlie and thought they had great chemistry, but I wish the spotlight had stayed on them a little more. I think readers who have been following this author's universe will probably get more out of this one than I did.

I’m just gonna say Noah!!

I know who’s book this is but the effect Noah, although I already met him in Hendersonville, left on me …. Whew Chile! I need a man that will pray for me, with me and bring me through it with God! And then hit me up like Jasper does Chasity. Damn Monica gonna make me a h0!!
But this story was so good because Graham was definitely something else. But he was free to be that. But that one flight! So much came from it. Finding the woman he didn’t know would change him. And then finding a sister he knew nothing of or ever needed to find. There were so many traumas that tied them all together but when faced, made them stronger and stronger together. Both of these two were surrounded by a very strong support team/family, well Sola/Arlie had her bestie Kimaji. We all love a true and loyal bestie. But this flight, Graham’s call to Noah, put Sola just where God wanted her to be with an even bigger support system in love. I love this story down fr fr!

Yes ma'am Monica

If I didn't have responsibilities, I would've finished this in one sitting — no lies detected.

Monica Walters delivered an age gap romance done RIGHT. Sola/Arlie knew exactly what she wanted the moment she saw Graham Taylor and was ready to explore that no-strings situation. But strings got crossed and feelings got complicated real fast.

Graham swore he was never settling down — until Arlie came through and had that man singing a completely different tune. Their chemistry was off the pages. He applied pressure, provided love, support, and family, and the spice was absolutely SPICING. 🔥

Monica has a gift for writing characters you genuinely connect with, and fans of her Sweet Series will love seeing familiar faces return.

Put this on your TBR and thank me later. I will never steer you wrong. 💋

Euphoria

This was a good and spicy read with plenty of drama and secrets being revealed. Graham and Arlie connected instantly and they couldn’t hide or fight their attraction to each other and their sexual tension was palpable. Once they decided they were going to be in a relationship, Graham made sure that Arlie stood on business and wouldn’t allow for her to shut him out because her past was revealed. I loved how he showed her he wasn’t concerned about her past and was only worried about who she was now. It also was good to see others double down on that sentiment and assure her that everyone has a past they may not be proud of but that doesn’t make them unloveable.

Euphoria it is! 🥰

Man oh man, I need a flight on this private jet. It comes with all the bells and whistles, sexy flight attendants, and a side of rachet... Definitely my kind of goings on! 😜
This story had beautiful friendships, deep rooted in family and lots of love.
It was truly AWESOME to revisit some of the characters we all know and love.
Arlie (SOLA) truly got a glimpse of how the Taylor's roll behind family. Noah is always heaven sent and knows just how to let God use him.
This book was beautifully written Author Monica Walters and I hope the best friend, Kimaji finds love soon as well. ✨️💞

Thoroughly Enjoyed! Loved both of the major female and male characters. The story was intense, heart-wrenching, touching, warm & scary feelings, and it allowed love to flow, even though there was hesitance by both Graham and embrace her (Solo).
Allie had a lot of ish.. that she had to deal with, in addition to the murder of her brother.

The Taylor's and Noah know how to show understanding, forgiveness, grace, and love. I loved how they embraced Arlie. I was glad that the details about the adoption were revealed, even though it didn't affect his relation with his mama.

Mama Sidney was a bad boss woman and had a mouth on her, not worse than her sister, Sonya.

Graham and Arlie “Sola”

In the end I think what these 2 realized about one another is they had past experiences that would have maybe had someone else leave them alone. But all it took was the start of something that was supposed to be just one time. Graham’s family really wrapped around Arlie tightly and that was admirable. I was definitely surprised that Graham didn’t tip toe into the other flight attendant that tried to come onto him but him loosing his job all because he was messing with Arlie was definitely crazy but one things for sure his parents don’t play about him. I loved how he got to connect with his little sister as well his bio mom. Overall great read!

Love at first flight ❤️

From the moment she stepped foot on his flight Graham knew he had to have her of only for one night. Arlie was attracted to him to but with a hurtful past she just wanted to hook up with "no strings attached". Neither of them expected to feel so much more for each other. Graham knew he wanted her to be his while Arlie was too afraid that her past would ruin any possibility for their future. After learning she wasn't the only one with a troubled past they were able to turn the trial into triumph and move forward with their relationship.

I loved how the characters from the Sweet Series came out in this book, Graham was off the chain but Arlie was what he needed and both of them didn't even know it. I loved how the story came out about Sidney and Karen and they were about to love on Graham together and it came from Maj being best friends with Arlie and Maj realized Graham was her brother. Noah don't play about God and his family don't play either, RJ is so funny😆 when it's time to eat let's not play do it. Awesome Book

I am here for it all

Enjoy the ride of growth, apologies, revenge, and forgiveness. That is really all I can saw about Graham and Arlie story. I enjoyed every page and prayer. Just remember that our past does not define us if we switched paths. Let love happen and be open to talk things out.

Chocolate Daddy!!

Love me some dark chocolate, and I loved Graham, even with his single man behavior.

Arlie is THAT GIRL!
She did what she had to do to cope.

Notable mention: Anytime Noah and the King of the Hood, RJ, is in the building, I BE GUSHING. Big up the Taylors (Shawn) and the Thompsons

Love At First Sight

Who knew that a a Male Ho would fall in love. Graham was a total mess, but a sensitive mess. Arlie had history , but who doesn’t.
Monica you did the damn thing incorporating characters from other stories into this love story.
I am glad I have read most of your previous books.

💞💞Loved It❤

This was so good, I needed one of those family tree charts to keep up with who was related to who and who was married to who🤔🤔. This story touches on rape, sexual abuse, mental health, stalking, racism, and love. I loved how this family loved one another and how they prayed for one another. It was awesome. I loved the FMC and the MMC. Kudos to the author 👏🏾👏🏾

Monica Walters can tell a story!! The insta love trope is one of my favorite & this one was executed perfectly. Graham & Arlie were both relatable characters. And what I always love about Monica Walters is reading updates about older MCs and the Taylor family was always a favorite family to read about

Loved It

Graham & Arlie were so compatible! I didn't know if I would like Graham, but he was so real with everything about him. Grief has a way of causing you to lose it, but the support of Graham's family was phenomenal, and I really like the spiritual aspect of the story!

Graham was an interesting MMC. While he may have been older maturity wise he was just catching up. He had some growing up to do that he was finally willing today when we're introduced to him. Arlie is a younger up and coming artist who isn't shy about what she wants including Graham. They danced around what they both truly wanted and Arlie due to her grief and immaturity pushed him away several times before they finally got it right.
