After the unexpected death of my abusive husband, I did the only reasonable thing someone could possibly do when one was utterly broken and looking for direction.
I moved across the country and started over.
It worked in my favor, thankfully. I had a roof over my head, food on the table, and I was slowly starting to accept the fact that I would never be the same girl—the girl who thought romance and intimacy should be nothing but sunshine and fairy tales—again.
That version of Rory Vale died with him.
Instead, I was a girl who desired a unique sense of darkness. A girl who not only wanted to be chased and adored, but also hunted and owned.
The only hangup?
I had found two men who wanted to give me everything I could ever desire. Two Navy SEALs who knew exactly how to give me what I needed. But if I said yes to them—to us—then I would belong to them forevermore.
Because while they wanted a third, they also wanted… a family.
First a huge thanks to Luna Literary and C.S Silverne for this ALC. Performed by Ash Beverly and Marina Craven. Such a good duo.
Check the trigger warnings and content warnings because this one does involve a lot.
5 stars. Absolutely LOVED it. A dark but beautiful short story. Literally about 2 hours and I was fully invested. I usually listen to my audiobooks around 3x speed. I slowed this one down and still devoured it.
Rory? Such a badass. 10000 percent my kind of girl. I 🫶🏻 heart with my whole entire heart. She deserves all of the happiness and I am soooo glad she got it.
Aiden and Casey are both perfection. I do seem to lean towards Aiden more. The chemistry between those two were unmatched. Simple love them. That was absolutely hot 🥵
The emotion was spectacular. I did get a little teared up with Rory’s story. Like I said she’s my girl and I’ll forever love her. I need more. I could listen literally all day long. If you are looking for something hot and spicy definitely pick this one up.
This was a fun and spicy novella...but I can't lie, I found myself struggling with parts of this. The story itself wasn't the issue for me; it was more to do with the narration.
Personally, I don't think Marina Craven was the ideal fit for this particular audiobook. She has a genuinely lovely voice, but I felt it sounded quite youthful and innocent, which made it difficult for me to fully connect with some of the more spicy scenes (which is basically 80% of the book), so I found myself distracted at times. That said, I can absolutely see her voice working beautifully for contemporary romances or stories with a softer tone - she would be perfect!
I really enjoyed Ash Beverly's performance, though. His voice felt perfectly suited to Aiden and Casey, and I found myself especially invested in their dynamic - I would have happily read an entire book focused on those two alone, they were so hot!! 🔥
I also noticed some pacing issues with the audiobook via BookFunnel. Regardless of the speed I listened at, it often felt like there wasn't quite enough pause between sentences. At times, the end of one sentence seemed to run straight into the beginning of the next, which disrupted the flow and made it harder for me to settle into the narration. I'm not a super fast listener, but trying to listen from 1.2x to 1.5x speed was rather annoying.
Thank you to Luna Literary and C.S. Silverne for this ALC 🩵
But now with the audio! My mouth was ON THE FLOOR It’s so hot so good The narrators captured them PERFECTLY.
My ears where GLUED to my headphones, I could not and would not stop listening. This audio and this book are perfection. They give you the chil and the feel you are in the book with them and part of it all.
Stunningly done.
And yes if you are wondering I have already listened to this again. And will do it AGAIN.
Thank you to author for a chance to listen to this book early. This book was so spicy! You definitely want to listen to this in a private area or make sure you control your facial expressions while listening. The two MMCs were so possessive and I loved the power exchange dynamic. As for the narrators, I loved the male narrator but the female narrator was a little too breathy for me and had a bit of a whiny note to her voice. Overall this was a very entertaining and spicy audiobook.
If you want a quick, dirty listen this is it! I wished for more depth it felt rushed with the back stories we were given. I felt like I wanted more from this! Thanks for the ALC Luna!
Pleyless by C. S. Silverne is a short dark MMF novella. With dual Narration by Marina Craven and Ash Beverly, Aiden Casey and Rory come alive in a steamy experience, and I suggest you get your toys, partners ready, because you will need them. Ash Beverly, this man can read me a phone book and a grocery list, and I’ll just drool all over; his distinct voice is immersive and magnificent. He is one of my favourite voices, and for good reason; the man can PERFORM! Marina, nice to meet you in this book; I am impressed, and I can't wait to hear you in more projects. Thank you so much, C.S. Silverne and Luna Literary, for this ALC, my opinions are my own.
Preyless by C. S. Silverne may be a short novella, but it packs a surprising amount of emotion, chemistry, and character development into a very small page count. 🎧📖
I decided to experience this story through the audiobook, and honestly, the narrators elevated the entire experience. Ash Beverly once again proved why he's one of my favorite voices in romance audiobooks. There's something incredibly captivating about his performance style that makes every character feel vivid and authentic. Whether he's delivering emotional moments or lighter scenes, he completely draws you into the story. 🎙️✨
This was my first time listening to Marina Craven, and I came away thoroughly impressed. She brought so much heart to Rory's journey, and her narration made it easy to connect with the character on a deeper level. I'll definitely be looking for more projects featuring her in the future. 👏💕
The story centers around Rory, who is trying to rebuild her life after escaping a difficult and painful past. Her journey toward healing was easily the emotional core of the novella for me. Watching her slowly regain confidence and begin opening herself up to new possibilities made her incredibly easy to root for. ❤️
Alongside Rory, we have Aiden and Casey, a married couple who find themselves searching for something that's been missing from their relationship. While I enjoyed their dynamic and found both characters interesting, I did wish we had been given a little more insight into their history together before Rory entered the picture. Because the novella moves at a quick pace, there were moments where I wanted additional layers to their relationship. 🥹
Despite the shorter format, the author does a solid job establishing each character's motivations and emotional needs. I never felt confused about who they were or what they wanted, but I definitely found myself wishing there had been more pages to fully explore their individual stories.
Once Rory, Aiden, and Casey finally connect, the story really finds its rhythm. Their first in-person interactions were some of my favorite moments in the entire book. The anticipation, nervous excitement, and growing connection between them felt genuine and engaging. 💫
What surprised me most was how much warmth existed beneath the tension. While the attraction is undeniable, the relationship isn't built solely around that. There are moments of kindness, reassurance, and patience that make the developing bond feel meaningful. I especially appreciated how supportive Aiden and Casey were as Rory worked through her fears and insecurities. 🥰
The pacing is incredibly fast, making this an easy audiobook to finish in a single sitting. I practically flew through it because I genuinely wanted to see how everything would unfold. However, being a novella, some aspects naturally move more quickly than they might have in a full-length novel. That's probably my biggest takeaway—I enjoyed these characters enough that I wanted significantly more time with them. 📚✨
Overall, Preyless was an entertaining, emotional, and engaging read that balances heartfelt moments with compelling character dynamics. The audiobook performances were fantastic, the characters were easy to become invested in, and the story left me wanting more. If anything, my biggest complaint is simply that I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Rory, Aiden, and Casey so soon.
This is one of those stories that feels like it could easily grow into something even bigger, and honestly, I'd happily spend hundreds more pages with these characters. 🎧❤️✨
Firstly a HUGE thank you to Luna Literary and C.S. Silverne for this ALC.
This was such a quick listen and I absolutely flew through it, but being a novella, it definitely felt a little rushed at times. I actually think the author did a pretty good job giving us enough backstory to understand the characters and their motivations, but I still found myself wanting more depth — especially when it came to Aiden and Casey and how their relationship developed before Rory entered the picture.
The story follows Rory, who is trying to rebuild her life after escaping an abusive situation, alongside Aiden and Casey, a married couple looking for something more in their relationship. I really liked the way Rory’s healing journey was handled and I found myself the most emotionally invested in her storyline throughout the novella.
Once the three of them finally connect through the app and meet in person… yeah, the tension was definitely there 👀 The first meeting honestly might’ve been my favourite part of the whole book. The dynamic between them felt surprisingly sweet underneath all the spice, and I loved how patient and reassuring the guys were with Rory.
The spicy scenes absolutely delivered, but I’ll be honest… with the setup and dynamics between the three of them, I was definitely expecting a little more from the MMF side of things. I think that’s partly why this landed at a 3.5 for me instead of higher.
Overall though, this was still a fun, spicy and super easy read with an interesting dynamic and enough emotional depth to keep me invested. I just wish we had a little more time with these characters because I think a full-length novel could’ve made me completely obsessed.
Preyless was everything I hoped it would be and then some. As both an ARC and ALC reader, I was completely immersed in Rory's journey from the very first chapter. This is not just a romance. It is a story about healing, reclaiming yourself after trauma, and finding people who love every fractured piece of you. Rory's character felt incredibly authentic. After surviving an abusive marriage, she is understandably cautious, but she never comes across as weak. Watching her slowly embrace her desires, trust herself again, and allow herself to be loved was one of my favorite parts of the book. Her growth felt earned and realistic. The dynamic between Rory and her two Navy SEALs was deliciously intense. These men are possessive, protective, and absolutely obsessed with her, but what stood out most was the care they showed. They saw her scars, both visible and invisible, and never tried to change her. Instead, they gave her the safety and support she needed to discover who she wanted to become. The chemistry was off the charts, but the emotional connection carried just as much weight. Every interaction felt meaningful, whether it was sweet, spicy, or deeply vulnerable. The family aspect added an extra layer of warmth that made my heart melt. The audiobook elevated the experience even further. The narrators captured the emotion, tension, and tenderness perfectly. They brought these characters to life in a way that made it impossible to stop listening. If you love why choose romance, protective military heroes, found family, healing after trauma, possessive but caring MMCs, and a heroine finding her strength again, Preyless deserves a spot at the top of your TBR. C. S. Silverne delivered a heartfelt, emotional, and addictive romance that I will be thinking about for a long time.
🦋 MMF — Polyamorous Ménage 🖤 MM couple wanting to start a family 🦋 Navy SEAL Men 🖤 Age Gap (12 & 14 years) 🦋 Meet cute on sm!nk app 🖤 Tortured heroine healing through sm!nk 🦋 Primal Play 🖤 Knife Play 🦋 Intoxication Play/Whiskey Spitting 🖤 Tactical Gear Sm!nk/Masked Men 🦋 Br33ding
I’ve been on a bit of a C.S. Silverne kick lately, and this spicy little gem absolutely delivered. I was blushing, clutching my headphones, and questioning whether I should ever make eye contact with anyone in the military again. 😳🔥
Rory is an absolute badass and 10000% my kind of girl. I loved her journey, and seeing her reclaim her power and find happiness had me fully invested. Aiden and Casey were both perfection, but I definitely have a soft spot for Aiden. The chemistry? Off the charts!
Yes, the spice is HOT, like holy moly I thought I had a poker face in public listening this book proved me wrong, but what really got me was the heart. The love, support, communication, and devotion between these three was beautiful to watch. I love how open all three were in the relationship voicing needs, wants and concerns.
Ash Beverly and Marina Craven both nailed their performance. I throughly enjoyed both, one was a little more breathy and after a while I got used to it but honestly you could feel the emotion in both.
Thank you to @authorcs.silverne and @lunaliterarymanagement for the ALC. All thoughts are my own. 💕📚🔥
Filled with steamy moments and deeper meaning, this story explores healing, reinforcing that everyone heals in their own way and that the right path is the one that feels right for them. It is also a story about acceptance and love.
Our FMC is a survivor with a difficult past who must learn to overcome her trauma, accepting that it has changed her in some ways and that this does not make her a bad person.
Our MMCs are two men who also carry complicated pasts. Combined with the nature of their profession, they have witnessed a great deal of cruelty and darkness. Yet none of that has ever made them bad people. They have huge hearts and are still waiting to find the missing piece that will make them whole.
Together, our MCs will learn to heal and overcome the traumas of their pasts. It ends with a HEA.
Audiobook:
The story is told in a multi-POV format, and although it features two narrators with excellent performances, it is not narrated in duet style.
The way they brought these characters to life was spectacular. Their performances added so much depth and emotion, making it easy to connect with the characters and become fully immersed in the story.
There are audiobooks you enjoy… and then there are audiobooks that practically melt your headphones. Preyless was definitely the second kind. 🥵
Ash Beverly could narrate a grocery list and I’d still be sweating, but paired with Marina Craven? Absolute chaos for my heart rate. The chemistry, the tension, the emotion — every scene felt intense in the best way.
What surprised me most though was how tender this story really is beneath all the heat. Rory’s healing journey after surviving abuse was emotional, raw, and empowering without ever losing the heart of the romance. Aiden and Casey weren’t just protective Navy SEALs — they were patient, loving, and completely devoted to helping Rory rediscover safety, trust, and herself again.
And the throuple representation? Honestly one of my favorites I’ve read. It felt respectful, committed, deeply caring, and beautifully balanced while still delivering some truly filthy moments. 😂
Short, addictive, emotional, and VERY spicy. I slowed my audiobook speed down for this one… which honestly says everything
Run to this book if you like smut over plot, primal play, and not one but two masked men.
This book has been on my TBR and I’m on an audiobook kick right now. So I made this into an immersive read. Boy oh boy, did I have fun.
Marina and Ash did a wonderful job adding to the characters and their story. Even with Ash narrating both Aiden and Casey, they both felt & sounded like their own person. Marina made me feel like I was standing beside Rory as the story unfolded. I enjoyed the added layer of emotions, tension, chemistry, and heat that was brought out from hearing this play out.
I was eagerly on the edge of my seat wanting to run from Casey and Aiden, but also hoping they would catch me? Yes. Did I feel like Rory for thinking the situation was slightly crazy? Also yes. Did I feel safe? Absolutely.
Whether you want to read or listen to this novella, you can’t go wrong.
I received this ALC from Luna Literary. This is a short audiobook but it’s intense. It’s a MMF Military Romance. I was not ready for the smut in this book but I’m not complaining. 😉. I’ll never say no to a IICYIFU and this audiobook delivered it. The story follows Aiden and Wolf two men in a relationship looking for their third and they find Rory in a dating app. She had been in an abusive relationship, and she knew she had kinks but couldn’t enjoy them in her previous relationship but once she met these men every kink was unlocked. Aside from the smut i loved how soft both men were with Rory when she needed it most. It was swoon worthy. I loved the audiobook the narrators did an amazing job portraying the book. I'm glad i received this book because it was perfect.
Preyless is a short, spicy dark MMF romance. Rory survived an abusive husband and has now moved across the country to start over. She has a job and is settling into her new life. One day, she finds Preyless and starts an online conversation with Aiden and Casey. What happens when they finally meet in person? Sit back, relax and get ready for a spicy listen. The dual narrative by Marina Craven and Ash Beverly was splendid. Marian Craven was spectacular as sweet, kind, caring Rory. Ash Beverly was magnificent as the two Navy SEALs, Aiden and Casey. He gave them each a distinctive voice. His deep, sexy, sultry tone was divine. I highly recommend listening. Thanks to the author and Luna Literary for this ALC. AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Story 4 stars Narration 5 stars
I listened to the audiobook of this story and it was exactly what I was craving... pure spice!! If you are looking for big plot, this ain't it. This book had me sweating from beginning to end. I loved the dynamics between these three and despite it being all spice, the story brought enough emotional connection and development to keep me thoroughly engaged. Aiden and Casey were so sweet, not just with Rory but to each other, and the passion between all of them them was palpable and genuine. The narration by Ash Beverly and Marina Craven was excellent with their perfectly distinct voices and personalities. Great quick and filthy read!!
Rory & Aiden, Casey - A MMF Military Romance After a traumatic marriage Rory finds love with Aiden and Casey who have been looking for that missing part to fulfill their desires. After getting to know each other via an anonymous app, they agree to meet for a night planned according to her desire. But after said night, none of them wants it to end…
This was a shorter audiobook in duel narration. Though I did enjoy it, I was thrown off with the not so duel narrated part, where the female tried to present the male characters with a not so male voice. This feeling carried further for me when the male did the same with representing the female with a voice that sounded like a child throwing a tantrum. Again, I did enjoy the audiobook, but what is the point in duel narration if it doesn’t carry through when it matters…
Thank you to Luna Literary and C.S. Silverne for this ALC, all opinions are my own. Performed by Ash Beverly and Marina Craven, they both did an amazing job, and this audiobook was such an enjoyable listen. Be sure to check the trigger and content warnings before diving in. I absolutely loved this! It's a short listen that's a little dark, very spicy, and so much fun. I loved all three characters, their chemistry, the emotions, their care, and how they each brought something special to the story. They all deserved their happily ever after, and I was rooting for them from start to finish. ❤️
id you have a look at these tropes?! Just reading those I knew it was going to be H O T. I recently read this to prepare for reading Clueless. I like to have things in order and know what’s up. *shrugs*
It was nice and fresh in my memory so listening to it was a treat all over again. Rory is doing her best to take back control of her life. Aiden and Casey are more than happy to help her do that and perhaps add something a bit more. Ash & Marina do a wonderful job of giving life to the characters. If you’re looking for a spicy little pick me up, this one’s for you. She’s a short audio but trust me, it will still be all kinds of fun!
Thank you to Luna literacy for ALC. I went into this book completely blind I was not disappointed. Preyless is quick and spicy read. When I say spicy I mean SPICY!! 🥵🥵🥵 my only complaint was I wanted more and sad when it ended. CS silverne keeps me on my toes with these books and never lacks on the smut level. I need to read the next book in the series. The narrators were incredible they made the audio Perfection ! I finished this audiobook in a day , I couldn’t put it down !!!
Having the chance to listen to these amazing narrators performing this book is an experience you don’t want to miss. Their voices together are sinfully perfect!
All characters are sweet and lovable, portraying a healthy, polyamorous relationship. I love when survivors find the love they deserve!
Hope you’re ready for the spice because it is scorching!! 🔥
If you like MMF relationships, spice, laughter and emotion, don’t wait and run to listen/read it!
Healing from trauma through quinky means? Yes please! Rory, Aiden and Casey have a meet cute on an app searching for the same things and it's fate! Aiden and Casey have been looking for a third, and Rory has been looking for a safe way to heal. It's beautiful - and deliciously spicy in a very primal way. The narrators definitely brought the story to life perfectly as well! I can't wait to read (or listen to) more from C. S. Silverne!
For such a short audiobook, this packed a punch. I mean it as a compliment when I say that the plot is the spice. If you’re here for an MMF military romance with primal play, masked men, and plenty of heat, this is for you.
The narration was solid and kept me engaged throughout, and I had a really good time with it overall. This was my first read/listen from C.S. Silverne, and it definitely won’t be my last. 🎧🔥
Of course C.S. did not disappoint!! This woman has me in a chokehold! I mean, how could you not want two men who are utterly obsessed with you? Not to mention Ash and Marina both had a wonderful performance narrating the story!
Loved this story!! Preyless was a wonderful story of turning pain and horrible memories and replacing them with new ones and finding new love in the wake of pain and hurt.
Ash Beverly and Marina Craven narrate this fun and spicy audiobook. This MMF romance is short and smexy in all the best ways. It seriously brings the heat. If you want something quick that gets to the point fast, definitely listen to this one. The narrators did such a wonderful job.
This book was amazing!! I loved it very much. I was a little effy about the military aspect of it since it’s not my favorite trope, but it was great. I love MMF romances and this was good!
Audiobook review: Other than the two audiobooks I listened to that C. S. Silverne co authored with Tilly Ridge, I knew what I was walking into and I was not disappointed! The spice was so good. I also feel like spice could be plot. Our FMC had some personal trauma and our MMC’s helped her overcome that and turn old painful memories into new ones. If you want a fun, short, spicy read then check this out!
A short story but it was so good! Packed with a good amount of spice, and an interesting storyline. Of course I would have loved a longer story but I devoured this nonetheless!
Rory is a baddie, Aiden and Casey were just so HOT! And making dreams reality? 🔥 🥵 damn!!! The primal scene??? Perfectly done!
These narrators were new to me, but I loved both of them. Marina Craven and Ash Beverly did a phenomenal job bringing these characters to life! Thoroughly enjoyed the book!
