I requested the ARC without realising it was actually the second book in a series… and now I obviously need to go back and read the first one because I NEED Sienna’s story! 😭 Apparently, my reading list wasn't long enough already.
I really enjoyed this book! The combination of a dancer and a pilot was such a fun setting for a romance, and I loved seeing how Fia and Jett’s story unfolded. There’s a lovely balance between romance, emotional depth and the characters’ personal journeys, with both of them having their own struggles to work through before they can truly let someone in.
And then there’s Jett. 🥹 Honestly, that man is an absolute book boyfriend. He’s the kind of character you just want to wrap in a massive hug, give a little kiss on the forehead and tell him everything is going to be okay. Watching him try to become a better man, not just for Fia but because he genuinely wants to be worthy of her, was one of my favourite parts of the story. His tenderness and the way he shows up for her had me absolutely swooning.
Fia’s journey was also a highlight for me. I appreciated seeing her navigate her own pain and slowly learn to trust again. Their relationship isn’t simply about falling in love; it’s about healing, growing and learning to let someone stand beside you when life gets difficult.
My only reason for not giving this five stars is that, although I genuinely enjoyed the story, some parts felt a little longer than necessary. That might partly be down to my current circumstances or the fact that I’ve been unwell while reading it, so I can’t say it was entirely the book. Either way, it never stopped me from enjoying Fia and Jett’s story.
Thank you so much to Love Notes PR for selecting me to read this ARC! ❤️ I had a wonderful time with this book, and now I’m off to read the first one because I clearly have some catching up to do.
“What if you're running away from the very thing that'll make you whole?”
Final verdict: Give me a pilot like Jett, a dancer with a story to tell, and a romance that makes me want to hug fictional men for a living. I'm sold. 🥹
