Under Grace

Rate this book
here is huge disagreement about just exactly how Christians are to view their own sin. Some say there needs to be a continual awareness of how bad we are because of our sin; that we need to express absolute remorse to God whenever we commit a sin. If we do not, then God will not take us seriously and sin will not be forgiven. Others say that while sin should never been taken lightly, Christians do not need to wallow in remorse or self-loathing in order to try to prove to God that they are taking their sin seriously. The hallmark of the Christian’s life should be one of love, overflowing with joy; joy that comes from the indwelling Holy Spirit through a life submitted to Him. There are those who argue that if we do not agonize over our sin, we are treating it lightly. If we are treating it lightly, we are then guilty of cheapening God’s grace.
