As the future CEO of Forrester Industries, Lucas Forrester has the kind of life most men only dream of. He’s travelled the world, brokering deals and sealing contracts that have benefited the company while making a name for himself as a cold, calculating negotiator.
At work, Luke lives behind his corporate persona, but when a chance encounter with a beautiful and caring stranger brings out his true nature, he finds himself reluctant to go back into hiding.
Veronica Hood’s life will never be mistaken for a fairytale, but she’s proud of what she’s accomplished so far. After years of planning, she’s finally got her own coffee shop, with enough money coming in to stay out of the red and pay for her grandmother’s medical bills, too. When Lucas sees her delivering food to the hungry, he appoints himself as her protector, stealing her heart and starting a whirlwind love affair straight out of a storybook.
The trouble is, Lucas isn’t the only one who has fallen for Ronnie. When her stalker finally emerges from the shadows, Luke will have to fight for his redheaded angel. In the end only one of them can possess her, but who will be the victor...her champion or the dark-hearted wolf?
**Publisher's Note: This story was originally released as part of the "Seduction at Midnight" box set.
Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
Writing is her joy, her escape from reality and the only way she knows of to quiet the nagging harridan of a muse the universe assigned to her.

3.5 stars. cute sweet story :) I enjoyed this one. Herione and Hero were great. although this was a short read I felt like I got enough insight on both MCs:) I only wish we got an epilogue more into their future instead of only a week later.
safety gang safe. Hero and heroine weren't virgins and neither were manwhores :) past isn't really brought up. we just know hero seeked out women while traveling for his job. Heriones past isn't mentioned at all. we only know she isn't a virgin. There is a little om drama. he is stalking herione. she doesn't know him and never had any kind of relationship with him other than him going to her cafe. that's it.
Very cute and sweet modern day fairytale of Little Red Riding Hood.
Ronnie Hood was a sweet and sassy heroine who owns a bakery. (I really need some red velvet cupcakes right about now).
Luke Forrester works for his father at the family company. He travels a lot but just got home when he meets Ronnie in an alley. It's insta-love...my favorite thing. Luke is a perfect hero.
3.50-4.0 RATING- So at 76 pages, there's not a lot to this story. Still, I liked what there was. Instant attraction/love, a damsel in distress, a protective, rich hero, good writing... that's all I really need! I've actually read other books by this author and really enjoyed them as well (Wilde Brother series).
Amazon has the book priced at $2.99 which seems like a lot for less than 100 pages but for readers that don't mind shorter stories and have Kindle Unlimited, this was an enjoyable read!
Note: At the time this review was posted, this book was available to borrow through Amazon's Kindle Unlimited program.

A short read along the lines of Little Red Riding Hood. I loved the instant chemistry between Luke and Ronnie. Luke's complete acceptance of how Ronnie will fit in his life was great. He did not care about their differences. Ronnie had some reservations but I loved her natural kindness and big heart for those less fortunate. With the danger that was lurking about, this was an enjoyable story.
This was a free book at one point, and this is my unsolicited review.
I get tired of every romance having such huge unbelievable conflict. This romance had to people that never made me think "you idiots". It was a nice change. There is a stalker but she is not captured 3-5 times. I really enjoyed the story. I was happy with the ending but still wished for an epilogue that took us 5 years out to children. I really loved this couple. I will read more from is author. This was my first book by her. Defiantly not my last!
Fantastic modern take on red riding hood and Cinderella!
Finally a romance with good people with a bit of spiciness. This is a short read but nothing suffers for it. The main characters are real people as are the rest of the cast. The stalker causes mischief but the police do their job admirably.
I love this book, short but sweet. I’m all for instalove and HEA so this work perfectly or me. Ronnie and Luke were perfect for each other, both sweet and caring. I’ll certainly recommend this book
Sweet and hot story with a dark side in it too. How they meet is just cute, her taking care of the homeless people and him wanting to protect when she didn't need it. At least not at that moment. Just when their lives come out as made for each other, there is a twisted person who doesn't agree. He brings in some evil things in the story, poor Veronica.
Like the last chapter a lot. Good for him to take care of her this way and she enjoying it.
I received a copy via Insta-Freebie for an honest review.
Short, sweet book and I really enjoyed it. Ronny owns cafe. She's compassionate and caring therefore, it's no surprise that after work she walks the streets and gives the leftovers to those that are homeless.
Luke, works in his family business. On his way home, he eye catches the sight of a woman in the alley. He waits and watches only to realise, she's giving the homeless guy something to eat. When she turns around, he's left speechless because she's incredibly beautiful.
Luke and Ronny hit it off instantly. Is Luke the man for her?
A guy keeps coming into the cafe and he's creeping out the staff. He watches Ronny and only appears when she's on shift. Is Ronny wise to ignore her staffs concern about his behaviour which screams stalker?
Fantastic book and I loved the characters. I liked how Ronny kept babbling when she got nervous. Luke surprised me at every turn: he's not a rich snob and his down to earth persona despite his wealth was refreshing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Ronnie (Veronica) has finally had her dream realized, she's opened her own bakery. Ronnie also feeds the homeless every night as she walks home, keeping enough cookies for her Grandma. Luke is extremely wealthy and has spent his life keep relationships distant. When he sees a woman dunking in and out of alleys and doorways, his interest is peaked.
This was a beautiful re telling of an old classic with a twist. I enjoyed the play on words with the characters names. A great story well written, a pleasure to read.
I received a fee copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it
