The complete collection of Camryn Eyde's short stories in one handy, money-saving collection. The bonus title, She, is an unreleased short story available only in this format.
About She: Dr Brodie King is mean, selfish, and finds herself in a traffic accident that changes her life. She is a short story about the woman that comes into her life, ignores her rough personality, and sees nothing but the best and accepts even the worst. Set on the side of desert cliff faces, in the emergency ward, and in a tiny apartment, the two women find a curious, yet comfortable companionship.
This is a nice set of short stories. Eyde has a talent for natural interactions, subtle humor, explicit erotica, and some really good twists and reveals. FYI, As the stories go along in this short story set, less sex is present until the last story doesn't depict it at all.
It's money well spent and definitely worth the read.
**** TAMING THE BOSS:
4.0 stars.
This is a pretty excellent erotic short story.
Another reviewer mentioned that it opens with a sex scene which can feel like we maybe wandered into the wrong erotica...don't fret, though. After the first scene, we get to know the characters and the dynamic between the boss and the assistant. Not only is there power play but a romance is in there, as well. All of the scenes are steamy and extremely well written. I felt there was a subtle line of humor traced throughout the story, too. The boss is crazy neurotic and her assistant knows how to bring out the best in her...by the end we're wondering who's the boss of whom? There's a really great dynamic here between both characters and a fun read.
Recommended.

CELEBRITY PASS:
3.9 stars.
Celebrity Pass is a play on the "freebie celebrity list" where a person can sleep with a certain celebrity without their partner getting upset.
We meet "Cassie", the reporter, who is star struck with Isabel, the celebrity with whom she's been granted an exclusive interview. A day that starts off miserably turns into a dream come true when Isabel shows a sexual interest in Cass...and the story continues from there.
As I read, I inwardly cringed because infidelity entered the picture. If this puts you off do keep reading. There is a twist. I was really, really hoping there was a twist and was thankful that the author gave us one! This story has erotica, sweetness, and humor.
Worth the read.
**** INSTAMEET:
3.8 stars. This is a cute and somewhat erotic short story.
Chloe is in Melbourne to deposit the ashes of a dear friend of hers. That's not the most erotic background to set a love story to but her roommate back in Brisbane has told her to stop by and see her sister, Evie, while she's in town. Upon meeting, Chloe is immediately attracted and an amusing flirtation ensues that blossoms into a love story.
Like Camryn Eyde's other short stories, there is some humor present along with an elicit sex scene. Eyde does both of these well and is really good at depicting natural interactions.
Good read.
**** SHE:
4.0 stars.
This is a really interesting short story depicting a curmudgeon love interest with a penchant for swearing. I appreciated this one because it showcased a mature couple and not your typical love interests. Like Eyde's other works there's an interesting reveal in this one so I won't spoil it. The developing relationship here is really sweet and even pulls at the heartstrings a bit because you can feel the love in it.
The first story is my favourite. I read it in class and I loved it. All the stories are well written and captivating because the plots are really good.
TAMING THE BOSS: quite emotional because the story did move me to tear and steamy.
CELEBRITY PASS: steamy and tbh i never read any cheating story (i always avoid the story that mention main character cheat on the other and this is my first time since i have no choice but to read because this is in the collection book).. that make me feel so relief and happy before. But this one did. And there is something unexpected happened that made me said “omg! Seriously?! Hahahaha”
INSTAMEET: okay and steamy i guess. Still enjoy it.
4 intense shirt stories with enough detwil to get hooked. I fight against the power play situation in the first story, but found the second intriguing and loved the twist. The third story was refreshing. Bumbling, honest. And the fourth was great. Loved the dual perspective. Camryn got the ER doc just right.
50/50. So about par for the course in collections. Liked Celebrity Pass and She. Wasn't as high on Instameet, and didn't like Taming the Boss much at all.
My first time reading anything from this author. She has a talent of introducing characters and in a short time you feel you know them. Many authors have trouble doing this in novels, yet Eyde does it in a few pages without it feeling like a data dump.
Order of preference She (4.5), Celebrity Pass (4), Instameet (4), Taming of the Boss (3).
Loved She with its curmudgeon MC. Almost quit Celebrity Pass because of a reveal that turns me off. Taming of the Boss, well written but not to my taste.
Recommended. Definitely going to try other books by this author.
With the exception of the bonus title, She, (which I thought was the best of the four), they lack a lot of plot. If that's your thing... Short and quick. I caught at least a handful of errors an editor should've caught, and there's the whole, American stories don't read as if American thing.
