Coming Clean was an okay story, but I didn't particularly enjoy it all that much. It started out kind of slow for me, then around chapter 4 it picked up to only then get boring again. The whole message didn't seem like a good one. It came across to me that you should either always tell the truth from the beginning or always lie. Characters in the book who change from lying to telling the truth get punished, while those that lie throughout seem to get away with it. Not a really good moral to me.

TITLE: Coming Clean by Jeff Ross
The novel Coming Clean by Jeff Ross “outstanding for teens” to read,This book talks about how the Protagonist Adam could go to jail for the death of a girl that was overdosed on the drug “ecstasy” This book is told from the point of view of Adams little brother rob. When Adam is implicated in the situation rob realizes he could lose everything. This book was published by Orca book publishers in Victoria,Canada.Adam the older brother has a little brother named rob who landed a Dj gig at a local all ages club but when a power out occurs ,rob stumbles across the body of a girl. The book talks about drugs and drug dealing which in this century is what a lot of teens turn too,When they have no money or when they have a friend that sells drug it can influences them to do it too.For example in the movie “Honey” the young boy was following his friends he ended up getting caught and went to jail.Everybody can have a reason into doing drugs and drug dealing but no reason is valid it still doesn't make it Ok to do so.The plot of the story is very original i've never read a book that ended so drastically. The book is not predictable because you never know how the plot can change it can twist out of nowhere. I think this book is very intriguing and different in many ways , i say this because growing up a lot of teens are in Adams position.I knew a friend who almost turned to drugs and thank god he didn't because he would of regretted it .Adam learned his lesson but it matters how he learned his lesson. This character learns not to doubt himself himself so much i think he feels he got what he deserved even if it wasn't all his fault. This book for mature readers it contains foul language and matures scenes for young readers.Do you think Adam deserved to go to jail? Do you think it was all a misunderstanding? The book speaks for teens not to lean toward drug dealing .I think teens and adults can realate to the book i do not think younger readers will like it as much. The novel is appropriate for mature readers ,younger readers may not understand it as much. Advanced students will see this book and probably love the book and the story it has with it.

As I started reading the first couple pages of this book, I realized that the main character was a 15 year old man, just like me. His name was Rob. As soon as he started talking about how he felt about how is life was going, I got attached to this book. The intro to this book is well thought out. It gets you interested as soon as you start reading. For me, that was something that needed to happen.
Rob had always liked music and djing. His brother Adam worked at a local club meant for young adults and teens. Adam came home one night and told Rob that their main DJ, DJ Sly, had fell and broke his wrist. So Adam asked Rob if he wanted to DJ on a friday night, which was there busiest night. As Rob was ending his first DJ shift ever, he noticed a girl laying face down behind the dance floor. She was dead. She overdosed on a party drug that Adam gave her. The two boys had to decide whether they were going to flee the town or come clean. As they were trying to get away with what Adam did, they realized that coming clean and telling the truth was the best option.
The main idea was to teach the reader that if you tell the truth, you will always come out on top. The problem was that they didn’t want to face the consequences of their actions. I liked the writer's style because he didn’t put too much information in the story, he had just the right amount. The only thing I did not like was that the story was almost too short. I wanted to read read more. Other people may look at the book and think that it doesn’t have the right amount of text in it or they might think that there isn’t enough.
I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a quick read. I say this because the book takes a couple hours. Also, this book is a good thriller and makes you want to keep reading.

I read the book Coming Clean by Jeff Ross. It is about Rob and his friend Adam and Rob wants to be a DJ. Then they find a girl that overdosed and get implicated in the girl's death. Then they have to run for the cops to clear their names.
The thing I liked most about the book was that they ran from the cops. I liked it because a lot of weird stuff happened. I liked how long the book was and how it ended. The character I liked the most was Rob because he was funny and I liked what he did. My favorite part of the book was when they started fighting each other after the girl that overdosed died. “I’m not sure if, at first, I shoved him because I was angry or simply to get him to snap out of it”(Jeff Ross 44). I liked when they got by the police and had to go to court and get charged with a lot of things.
I didn’t like when they were driving and they were just talking about random things. I didn’t like when they gave up and turned themselves in to the police. I didn’t like Adam because all he wanted to do was fight people. I didn’t like how long the book was. I didn’t like that most of the book was talking about how they were going to court. I didn’t like the book because nothing was scary in it. I didn't like when they were at the place they were DJing because it took a long time for anything to happen.
I liked most of the book and it was pretty good. I would recommend the book to younger readers. There were a lot of things that happened in the book. I would rate the book a 5 out of 5 because I liked it and thought it was funny.

This book was very surprising. I enjoyed reading it because I would always stop at good parts. The characters are very realistic. Their actions are relatable and I feel like if I was in a situation like they were I would have done the same thing.

When Rob’s older brother, Adam, lands him a gig as a DJ at a local club, he is ecstatic at the opportunity. However, a power outage and the body of a girl who has overdosed on Ecstasy may put his future in jeopardy as he and Adam are implicated in the crime.
Fans of the Bluford High series will enjoy this book as well.

In my opinion this book was very good because it teaches you many life lessons dealing with drugs and how you should not get involved with them. It's a good mystery and I recommend reading it.
