Ryūhei Tamura, born April 19, 1980 in Gifu Prefecture is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for being author and illustrator of the manga Beelzebub which was first published as a one shot in Weekly Shōnen Jump, 2008. It was then serialised in 2009. Tamura was formerly assistant/student to Toshiaki Iwashiro, the author of Psyren, also serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump
i've been looking for a manga series that can make me laugh the way gintama did. i liked that kind of ridiculous nonsense. saiki k is also one of the example. i've been told that this might be the one i'm looking for
i think this first volume is okay. nothing too impactful but it's indeed interesting. an adorable child who's going to be the future devil king, choosing a powerful high school delinquent as his temporary parent. i'm interested as to where this is going. the art style takes getting used to, though. it's mostly simple and not detailed enough, but i think it's fine. i just need something to make me laugh
Ohhh! This is currently my favorite weekly serial! It's not only hilarious and filled with all the brawling one needs to get the blood pumping, but almost all of the characters are AWESOME!!! This is one hell of a manga!
It's all about a evil, infamous friendly, popular guy named Oga who happens to come across a baby while he was down by the river trying to drown peopledoing some laundry. Apparently the baby is a demon prince tasked in destroying the world by its father. But the baby needs a human to be its contractor in order to do that and it will only choose the baddest of the bad... And it turns out the baddest of the bad was Oga. Can he survive all the insanity that comes with having a demon baby?
Frankly, I can't describe this manga properly except that it made me laugh my ass off. Seriously, you should just check it out yourself. It's brilliant. A work of art. A masterpiece.
Don't waste your time reading this review! READ IT ALREADY!!!
I think that this manga book is very interesting and funny. My favorite character of this manga is Beelzebub, the baby. Beelzebub or better called Baby-Beel is always in the back of Oga Tatsumi. The reason Baby-Beel is in his back is because he admires his strenght. Oga is very strong and in his school his battler nickname is BoB Brawler. Oga is very tired of taking care of Baby-Beel so he is trying to find someone stronger than him. The stuff Oga has to take care of Baby-Beel is like a normal baby, food, health, entertainment and home. The special thing that this baby has is that he is from the Demonic World so he has special powers. This special power is the power of ligthing that he inherit from his dad, the King of the Demonic World. Like Oga is so strong he has bad luck finding someone stronger than him. The reason Oga wants to dumb him is because Baby-Beel anyones him with all the needs he needs. The worst of all is his lighting because when Baby-beel cries he makes his "Human-Dad" suffer very badly. Now Oga is going to every place with strong people to confront them. I have not finished reading everything but i know that Oga will not find someone stronger than him. The good thing is that he is learning in how to care for others. I really recommend everyone to read this book

biz baca Ajin Demi-Human vol. 2 & vol.3, baca ini tuch bikin refreshing.. ketawa ngakak, pelajar berhati preman tapi mesti rawat bayi calon raja iblis.. XD
I picked this one up with interest as a mate seemed to be obsessed with it. Had to see what the big deal was. I was hooked immediately and ploughed through the chapters. In fact my 10 year old son read it even faster than me, then read it all over again he loved it that much.
Yeah, this is definitely one for the boys, but you know, this girl loved it too. Oga is such a dumb ass, the hugest bully and totally clueless most times, but you just can't help but love the guy. And his relationship with Beel, love it. One Child-Rearing Badass. hehehehe...
It took me a while to take to the first chapter but once I did it was like - oh hell I need to read more. The story is pretty unique - even though demons and shinigami and stuff are done to death in manga. Ogas' character is hilarious if a bit simplistic in the beginning but as you go on through the story you begin to realise that there is some subtlety to this gag manga that may not be immediately obvious. There is adequate support from the rest of the cast - Furuichi the loyal friend, the Touhoshinki who eventually become Ogas' companions. Some of the love bits seem a bit orchestrated and convenient though.
Oga, Oga, Oga.
*Vol 1: Ch 1-9(?
Really Enjoyed 3/4th of the manga which has lots of humor and many nice fight scenes. It's a great blend of comedy in a battle manga. The art is clean and neat. Their are many memorable cool and bad ass characters.
The last 75 odd chapters are no fun as things move too fast and the humor is totally missing. May be this lead to the series being dropped.
Still will recommend it for Shounen Manga fans as the first 150 chapters are really good.
Read up to chapter 86 or so. It's amusing but it's starting to go from a parody of shonen clichés to almost seeming simply a shonen cliché, if that makes any sense. It is amusing and it has a nice drawing style, as well as fun characters, but I almost feel too distant from the protagonist in comparison to other series, who make me either love or hate them. Don't think I'll finish this but I did enjoy the chapters that I read.
Starts off pretty weird and leaves you thinking about what's going on. But everything links up and becomes really good. Good characters and art style and a good plot line. Also kind of funny.
School life, action, dan semacam versus-versusan anak sekolah (?). Jadi inget sama Reborn, berhubung baik Tsuna maupun Oga sama-sama punya geng *bukan woy*.
Ceritanya sendiri seru. Baby Beel jelas lucu banget hahaha. Dan duo Oga-Baby Beel bikin saya sayang ama mereka. Perkembangan ceritanya juga seru cuma makin lama terasa begitru cepat. Apalagi ending-nya gitu doang :(
Tapi secara garis besar saya sangat menikmati. Jadi kangen masa-masa dulu.....
Beelzebub is about a airheaded high school delinquent becoming a father figure towards the demon king's baby son so he can destroy the world so it’s up to Oga weather his new son destroys the world or not while keeping him save from people who would do harm to his son and Oga himself. I recommend this book to people who like comedies and action genres.
I have read this once like a decade ago at this point and god this is still hilarious. Just the fact that Oga is without a question a terrible person and doesn't give a single fuck about it is hilarious. Rip to anyone standing in his way (fortunately he is his own worst enemy and it makes everything even more hilarious)
Placeholder for volumes 1-13 All I remember about this is that it had some hilarious scenes (a lot of deadpan and situational comedy), and that I thought it started getting repetitive at some point and dipped in the middle of a fight involving the whole school.
Repetitive. The art gets sharper and the panel flow improves as the series progresses; disappointingly, the story and characters grow blander and less interesting.
