Kaapstad word deur 'n reeksmoordenaar geteister. Die Romeo-en-Juliet-moordenaar se slagoffers is almal tieners. Verliefde paartjies.

Very stereotypical. Quite unfortunate that this book exists.

Knew who the killer was from the beginning, sadly it was blatantly obvious:( The characters are way to full of stereotypes, it felt like that was all to their personalities. But I did like how the book ended, it wrapped up very nicely. Overall an okay book.

Just the book I needed to get myself back into reading Afrikaans. Short, no fluff, just the right amount of teen drama and angst. The plot was by no means original, but it was fast-paced, believable and enjoyable. I liked the jump between the points of view of the teens and the main investigator of the Romeo-and-Juliet serial killer, too. If you're in the mood for a quick young adult crime read, this one's for you!

Extremely predictable, an extremely racist main character and an obnoxiously obvious serial killer. What more could you ask for? 😬😒

Diedericks-Hugo combines two genres in this short and well-plotted novel: on the one hand she tells us about four teenagers who do not fit into the stultifying world of school; on the other about the police trying to catch a serial killer preying on teenage couples in love. With assured strokes she draws convincing characters and builds up an exciting narrative that younger teens and especially second language readers should lap up.
