Have To Be Mine

Rate this book
Women look at me one of two ways.

Like they want me in their bed, or I’m a problem they’re about to solve.

I prefer the former.

But she’s the latter.

Ex-military. All rules, no mercy.

Sent by my family to keep me in line like I’m some reckless kid who can’t handle his own empire.

She thinks I’m a mistake waiting to happen in Greece.

So she watches, calculates, and calls me out like no one else ever has.

And somewhere between fighting her, provoking her, and trying to get under her skin…

I start wanting under her.

She makes me show up.

Makes me earn it.

Makes me want something I’ve never chased before.

Her.

She refuses to let me fail, even when I deserve to.

But she doesn’t do the one thing I need.

She doesn’t stay.

Right when it starts to feel like she’s mine… she runs.

Doesn’t change the ending.

She’ll still have to be mine.

Every good girl deserves a bad boy. ~ Weston

Hey there. I'm Weston.

Have we met? No? Well, that's a shame, but let's fix it.

I'm a former firefighter and EMS guy who traded emergency calls for romance novels. These days, I write stories about bad boys, billionaires, military heroes, and the kind of men who occasionally make questionable decisions before finding their way back to what matters most. Love.

I live in Texas with my wife, our three kids, and enough animals to qualify for a small petting zoo. Life is loud, busy, and wonderfully chaotic, which is probably why I enjoy disappearing into stories where love somehow manages to win in the end.

At the heart of every book I write is the same belief: life can be hard, but a great love story reminds us that hope, healing, forgiveness, and second chances are always worth fighting for. And to put your mind at ease, I don't use any AI in my books. They're all fully flawed and done by humans. No way in hell I'd give my job to a machine when it's the reason I get up in the morning. So put that worry to bed.

Instead, grab your favorite drink, find a comfortable spot, and stay a while. The real world will still be there when you're done.

Until then, welcome to mine.

Have To Be Mine is the perfect way to close out the Blackwell family journey, and Dash’s story ended up being one of my favorites in the series.

Dash has always been seen as the carefree brother — the playboy who avoids responsibility, shows up late, and hides everything behind charm and sarcasm. But underneath all of that was someone constantly trying to prove he was more than the family disappointment everyone expected him to be. Watching his growth throughout this book was honestly one of the strongest parts of the story for me.

Krista was exactly the kind of woman Dash needed. Her military background, strict routines, and no-nonsense attitude completely clashed with his impulsive personality, which made their dynamic entertaining from the very beginning. Their banter, tension, and constant power struggle made the slow burn feel natural instead of forced. I also appreciated that Krista wasn’t just “the strong female lead” on the surface — she carried her own emotional weight, grief, and loneliness behind all the control she tried so hard to maintain.

The Greece setting added so much to the atmosphere of the story. From Athens to Corfu, Mykonos, and Santorini, the fashion campaigns mixed with the beautiful locations gave the romance a glamorous but emotional backdrop. I loved seeing Dash slowly step up during the chaos and finally realize he was capable of more than people assumed.

What made this book stand out for me was how emotional the relationship became beneath all the chemistry and tension. Two people who felt inadequate in completely different ways slowly became each other’s safe place. The romance was messy, passionate, frustrating at times, but also incredibly rewarding.

Weston Parker did a great job giving the youngest Blackwell brother a story filled with growth, heart, family, humor, and romance. A strong ending to a series that has been addictive from the start.

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

This is last book of the Blackwell family.

Dash, the last Blackwell to fall is living a carefree and lavish life. He is used to being in the “middle” of everything. He was a party animal and a “slut”, according to Krista.

His behavior is due to how he felt lacking as compared to his brothers. He thinks they think he’s a disappointment to his family, especially his Dad.

Krista was hired to be his “keeper “ to keep Dash focused and on track for the last fashion show. She is very rigid and has to be in charge and control. She is still dealing the loss of her struggles with control issues by sticking with routines, which has also left her with “no” friends or a social life. She also struggles with handling the of her mom , and trying to be a son for her dad. worrying about her dad, and wanting to .

She helps Dash see the importance of being accountable and to believe in himself.

They work together to make this final fashion show a success. But in true Blackwell fashion the tension between them quickly leads to something more. He falls first and hard. She is scared of not being enough but soon realizes she cannot handle being away from him.

This leads to the breaking down of walls so they can finally show the love they have for each other.

It’s amazing to see Dash realize he’s not a failure and for Krista to see she is not alone.

The end of a great series.

I’m hoping Callum is next!!

The last of the Blackwell brothers is finally getting his book. Dash is the baby of the family and his older brothers have lost all faith in him to get this next project done. He has been missing calls and emails, totally dropping the ball on important things for this production. What he doesn't know is that his brothers are hiring a "babysitter" to make sure he stays on task and everything goes as planned. He has been known as the family screw up and has lived up to that image because he doesn't know anything else.

Enter Krista. She is the logistics consultant brought in to keep Dash in line. She is ex-military and very organized. She comes at him like a drill sergeant to his playboy relaxed go with the flow image. She is so closed off all she knows is her work. No fun to be had anywhere. It is just her and her father for family. She has a lot of hidden damage that she keeps locked up.

Now these two are working together to make this Greece show happen. In the course of working together Dash finds his inner purpose while finding his love. Now can they work through all the obstacles that pop up in the way to find their HEA? You will have to read to find out. This whole series is a must read, but you can read this one by itself.

Dash meets his match

Dash Blackwell is the family screw up. He gets things done but by the seat of his pants.
So his brothers Adrian and Briggs hire an logistics solutions coordinator.
Krista is ex-military logistics. She is no nonsense and thinks he is a spoiled playboy. He has shown in three locations in Greece. The first almost doesn't go off because he didn't to check his emails and coordinate with his vendors. Krista had to call the brothers to get into Dash's emails. She found the missing inventory.
Dash has always been fun first and getting his work second.
But these two finally start working together and things go off more smoothly.
They are both attracted to each other but each have their own baggage from their past preventing them to open their hearts.
Dash pulls out all of the stops to get Krista to enjoy the rest of their time in Greece.
A great couple with their own hang up working them out by talking about things that they have never told anyone. Loved Dash and his feelings about his brothers. All thinking he can't pull off this runway launch with Krista. And proving them wrong.
And Krista being afraid of opening her heart and giving up a little of her control to Dash.
Really great story by Ali Parker

Dash Blackwell is the youngest of four brothers who own and manage Blackwell Couture. Additionally, he has a less than stellar reputation. Ex-military Krista Hedley owns her own logistics company and is well known as the best there is, so the Blackwells hire her to become Dash’s consultant/professional babysitter until the Greece campaign is under wraps. The entire time in Athens, the first stop, they remain at glaring odds, but shortly into Corfu, the next venue, there is a modicum of a truce followed by a gentle kiss and a lot more when they travel to Mykonos and Santorini.

Weston Parker’s characters are not always perfect which makes them perfect for lovers of romance! Dash is creative, impulsive, and usually late while Krista is organized, rule-driven, and punctual. And they both carry insecurities from formative years that they can’t seem to overcome. Can the two of them find a way to realize that their differences are what make them stronger? Grab your imaginary bags and enjoy this delicious, sizzling trip to the Greek Isles and HEA!

Dash Blackwell, the youngest of the Chicago Blackwells, and in charge of the logistics for the latest swim line of Blackwell Couture. He's the king of procrastination and claims to thrive under last minute pressure, but that could blow up in his face with launch of the swim line in three different locations in Greece. His older brothers are worried and his CEO brother, Adrian, has hired a backup logistics expert.

Krista Henley has been contracted to keep Dash on track. She's a graduate of West Point with five years of active duty as a military logistics expert and she's going to drive Dash crazy. She's not going to cut him any slack and Dash is trying to devise ways to work around her.

Her no nonsense attitude and her choice of wardrobe just won't work for this Blackwell Brother. He sees glimmers of a beautiful woman under her attitude and ugly clothing choices. Krista sees a lazy entitled handsome man that just rubs her the wrong. They clash and butt heads 24/7 and Dash wants a truce, but Krista wants him to be more responsible by being proactive not reactive. They each need to give a little, but is that possible?

This is the latest in the Blackwell Brothers series, and since it involves the last of the Blackwall brothers, Dash, or Dashiel, it may be the last in the series. It can be read as a standalone but as it involves other family members, for maximum enjoyment, I would recommend reading the others on the series first.

Like his brothers Dadh is a serial playboy, unlike his brothers he hasn’t met his person yet!
He runs logistics for the company and is just about to head to Greece to run the latest campaign for their new swimwear range and his brothers are so concerned that he might not be focussed on the job in hand that they hire a logistics consultant to oversee the operations and make sure Dash has everything in hand, obviously Dash does not take this well and feels they do not trust him to do his jobs and sees this as them hiring someone to babysit him.
Krista is ex military and has a structure to her regimented and ordered life, she has a 100% result track record for the jobs she has undertaken and views this as just another job, albeit high profile and one that could elevate her position in her chosen field. All she has to do is make sure the campaign stays on track and is successfully completed, regardless of Dash’s actions.
Can they successfully complete the brief, and still be civil and professional?
Like the other books in this series I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters and follow their progress. I received this as an ARC.
I feel there may be scope for further books in this series with extended family members…I hope!

What a great addition to the Blackwell Billionaire Brothers series. It can be read as a standalone but if you read any of the other books you'll recognize his brothers and the rest of the family. Dash is the baby and the perpetual playboy. He's all about fun, parties and girls. When things go haywire in Greece for the Blackwell Couture Fashion Shoot Dash is called in. And to make sure things don't go astray, his brother hires Krista to be his 'consultant/baby-sitter. Talk about enemies, they clash from the beginning and slowly, chemistry clicks in. She's ex military and precision oriented while he flies by the seat of his pants. It was fun to watch their slow burn romance develop and then all the insecurities click in. Drama, angst and then a storm that threatens everything. Twists, surprises and a page turning romance that you don't want to miss. Another winner from Weston. I read a free arc via the author and I voluntarily chose to write a review.

Well, we finally made it to Dash’s story and let me tell you it was worth waiting for. Dash is known as a playboy and he never really takes things seriously. When he is sent to Greece to do a fashion show for Blackwell Couture his brothers hire a consultant/babysitter to keep him straight. Krista Hedley is ex-military and she owns her own consulting company and is known to be the best. She’s strict and to the point and not a real girly girl and has no intentions of falling for Dash. Will Dash work his charm? Krista tries her best to keep to keep her distance but he slowly breaks her down.

I loved Dash’s story it was good to see him fall fast and first. Krista didn’t think a guy like Dash would be interested in her but she was badly mistaken. This book has all the feels and you sure don’t want miss it. I received an arc copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I have to say, this is truly one of my favorites. Dash Blackwell is the “screw up” of the family or that’s the portrait her lets the family and everyone think he is. What they don’t understand, he doesn’t truly know where he fits and still feels as if he is disappointing his late father. So he does what he is known best for, a social party person with a different woman on his arm. Krista who is very structured and takes life seriously is hired to “handle” Dash on his upcoming fashion shoot in Greece. Well, babysitter would be a better word. What he didn’t expect is a woman who keeps his feet to the fire literally and as time goes on, makes him a better man. Now that he wants more with Krista, will he be able to soften her up a little bit to see what kind of woman she truly is and that they belong together… This book is good from the first page till the last. If you enjoy the Blackwells, then this book is for you. Enjoy.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in the Billionaire Legacy series. In this book, Dash is the only brother who hasn't found love. Dash is the carefree brother who doesn't worry about work, he is more interested in a party. When Dash is in charge of a fashion launch in Greece, his brothers hire Krista to be sure he does his job. Krista is former military and sees solutions to problems before they happen. Dash and Krista do not get along and Dash resents having a "babysitter" and hates his brothers expect him to fail. Krista is used to being one of the boys and feels like she can't really be herself or be feminine at all. As time goes on, Dash realizes Krista has actually helped him and he opens up to her in ways he never has to anyone else. Krista and Dash develop a truce and soon a friendship. I loved this book. I loved how they developed a foundation and learned to trust one another. This was a great series and i hated to see it end.

Loved it!
Another fantastic read in The Billionaire Legacy Series, this time it’s the youngest brother Dash’s story.
Being a gorgeous play boy he has never taken his job seriously enough.
His logistics role in Blackwell Couture is under scrutiny and has the family stepping in and hiring some help.
Much to Dash’s disgust.
In enters Krista with her military background, no nonsense attitude and the job of Keeper or professional babysitter.
Determined to whip Dash into place.
All it does once he meets her is rile him up.
Needless to say their altercations are messy and full of angst.
But in true Blackwell style he eventually wins her over and their chemistry is electric.
Loved the storyline and all the Blackwell’s and look forward to more books in this wonderful series.
Thank you Weston Parker for the opportunity to read this book.

The youngest Blackwell brother, Dash has his book. As the youngest brother he feels he has some challenges to live up to his father’s legacy. Playboy, charismatic, confidence issues, and unsure. This book looks at how Dash is pushed to be better. Unfortunately or fortunately a logistics manager (babysitter) is hired to assist him. Krista, former military, works as a logistics specialist. She is hired by Dash’s older brothers, Adrien and Briggs, to keep Dash “in line” during the Greece shows. The way these two bump heads makes this an interesting book. I throughly enjoyed how their lives are eventually transformed and intertwined.

This review includes my thoughts and opinions about this book.

Dash and Krista knock this one out of the park! The emotions this book brings about just feel good. Wild man Dash is brought to his knees with this woman who has no idea any man would want her. You'll see Krista come out of her military structured mind and see what life is about! Being the fashion Blackwell guy he is, Dash was shocked at what cargo pants and "mandals" could do to his libido. Krista only has work and her Dad in her life, she's missing out, Dash is showing her what she's missing. Thank you Weston, you've really done quite a job with these Blackwells, I love them all! I'd give this book more than 5 stars! I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author, and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.

Dash, the last Blackwell standing single, is rejected by Krista at his brother’s wedding. As the story reveals Krista’s task, I can only think let the fun and games begin!
Krista is a strong character, she has lived through her own trauma and has the baggage to show but despite this has come through as a determined person who has a strong work ethic.
They have a rocky journey which makes for good reading. Playboy Dash definitely meets his match.
There are some emotional periods in the story and especially the latter chapters before they reach their HEA.
This book will not disappoint and the last of the Blackwell brothers lived up to his name and more.

Krista’s impression of Dash is that he is a playboy with no substance, and she wants nothing to do with him. That is about to change when she is hired to ensure that he stays focused on the photoshoot and not the beautiful models vying for his attention.

Dash doesn’t take much seriously when it comes to the family business or women. He iso equally attracted and exasperated by Krista and her determination that the photo shoot will go off as planned however he isn’t knows as the charming brother for nothing.

The banter between them is entertaining and the draw they have for each other deep as they take us on an adventure filled with great chemistry and all the feels.

Loved the story of Dash and Krista. Dash wants all the best things in life and flies by the seat of his pants to get his real work done. His brothers decide that it's time for him to go on the straight and narrow, so they hire ex-military ops specialist, Krista, to essentially babysit him on his important fashion show in Greece. These two are complete opposites. And we all know what that means!
Weston Parker has once again kept us entranced with his amazing storytelling and fulfilling characters. The Blackwell family has been a fun series, and I hope we get to see more of the extended family in future books!

The last is always the best! Dash Blackwell, happy go lucky with no cares in the world other than himself. Therefore his brothers hires a ''nanny'' to watch over him. Krista is ex military, structured, focused to the job at hand and Dash is the job! They meet at a wedding and he tries every one of his tricks to attract her with no luck. The next day he discovers that the woman from the wedding is his new baby-sitter..... Soon everything is changed and Dash will start to take things more seriously has he is infatuated with Krista. Their HEA is hard earned but so satisfying. The perfect finale to this series!

I finished it did get better. But he was infuriating for over the first half of the book and then she was infuriating for a bit of the second half.
And the book blurb was not accurate, he didn’t chase her.

Good read, but not amazing. I love her as a character though and I wish I got to see her dad interact with the family

****

I’m currently on page 57 and it’s not promising so far. I love the FMC, but the MMC is a whiny man child playboy. And I hate books where the MMC is with ANYONE after he meets the FMC and so far it’s insinuated he’s had a threesome and the FMC meets the women. Gross. Not sure I’ll finish this one

Have To Be Mine by Weston Parker

The youngest Chicago Blackwood brother finally got his story and it is a blockbuster. Dash Blackwood has always been the family screw up, and this time his older brothers can't let that happen. The launch of the swimsuit line for Blackwood Couture is placed in his hands, but Adrian and Briggs insist on saddling Dash with a logistics consultant (babysitter) to keep him focused on the job at hand. Needless to say, things get complicated very quickly and that is what makes this book fantastic. It's a great read that everyone is sure to love!

If you haven't read a Weston Parker romance…you NEED TO!
I have never, not once, been disappointed!

Always wonderful characters, emotional, funny, hot, swoony.
He just doesn't miss a beat!

I was so ready for Dash's story!
I think you'll love it just like I did!

Though I'm sorry this is the end of the series! Parker sends us off with plenty of TNT though!

Enter Krista, to keep the explosion contained! Or does she?!

Get ready for a fun, fulfilling ending to an awesome series!

Dash is the last brother of the Blackwell Billionaire Brothers series. He is also a playboy his life is about fun, parties and girls. He had to oversee the fashion shoot in Greece and his brothers hires Krista to be his consultant. Actually she is his babysitter. He was not happy with that. They like enemies, they clash from the beginning. She is strict and precision oriented. Things get complicated. Will he leave his playboy life style for her? Will they get a happy ending? Grab a copy this is a great must read story.

This is the last Blackwell Brothers story. This one is an opposites attract romance and each book was a different genre. The story stars Dash and Krista. Dash was always considered reckless and it was well deserved although he carried a lot of guilt, not wanting to disappoint his family. Krista lives a very structured life and is ex-military. Krista was charged with keeping Dash on track in Greece - this couple is extremes opposites attract but still they had feelings that leaked through until it had to be addressed.

Youngest Blackwell finally grows up.

Dash is the baby of the Blackwell family. Playboy, life of the party, far from serious. But now he is under pressure from his brothers and his mother to get his act together and manage a big fashion show and shoot in Greece. To be sure he stays focused, they hired Krista a logistics specialist to keep him track. Not an easy task. The more time they spend together the closer they become. I enjoyed their story very much although I questioned Krista’s timing a couple of times. Looking forward to the final book in the series. Callum’s story.

Its great to have the last of the Blackwell brothers stories. This one centres around Dash. Hes in Greece ready to launch a swimsuit line for Blackwell couture but as Adrian and briggs dont trust Dash to behave himself amongs all the beautiful ladies in the fashion show his brothers send a consultant in the shape of Krista to keep him in check.
A great story about strong characters, and the power women have over men. Loved Dash's story. I couldn't put it down.
Thanks Weston 😊

Krista gives Dash a run for his money in this thrilling read. He is used to being in the heart of everything and when Krista doesn't acknowledge him the way he expects it gives him pause. She calls him out and between their bantering and antics their hearts are compromised. This thrilling book had me all caught up in these two from start to finish. Parker does a wonderful job with his character development and storyline.

Another great book in the series as this is the youngest Blackwell brother's story. Playboy Dash finds himself with a babysitter, hired to keep him in line. Ex-military, Krista, loves discipline and control. Loved the chemistry between them and the sparks that fly. A wonderful, opposite attracts romance with engaging characters.

I have loved every book in this series.

Have to be Mine was Dash's story, the youngest brother and perpetual bachelor. With an important photo shoot and runway show in Greece coming up, his older brothers engage the services of Krista to be Dash's babysitter (expert in logistics and efficiency). With her military background and tendency to treat every aspect of things like one of her military operations, she and Dash butted heads almost as much as the sparks flew between them.

Their insecurities drove a wedge between them - which culminated in Dash pulling off an amazing runway show. One which finally impressed his family enough for them to see him as something other than the perpetual screw up, and which cemented Krista and Dash to be the epitome of opposites attracting.

With all the brothers now having their happy ending, I hope the series continues with the West Coast cousins. I haven't had enough of the Blackwell family.
