আবুল আসাদ রাজশাহী জেলার বাগমারা থানার নরসিংহপুর গ্রামে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন ১৯৪২ সালে। পিতা এ,কে, ছামছালুল হক ভারতের বেনারসের বিখ্যাত মাদ্রাসা থেকে শিক্ষা লাভকারী স্বনামধন্য একজন আলেম ছিলেন। তার মাতার নাম মজিদা বেগম।
আবুল আসাদ রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে অর্থনীতিতে এম.এ পাশ করেন। ছাত্রজীবন থেকে তার লেখক ও সাংবাদিকতা জীবনের শুরু। তিনি কয়েকটি দৈনিক ও সাপ্তাহিকে রাজশাহী সংবাদদাতা হিসাবে কাজ করেছেন। ছাত্র জীবনে কলেজ ম্যাগাজিনসহ পত্র-পত্রিকায় লিখিত তাঁর রাজনীতি ও সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক প্রবন্ধাদি মানুষের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করে।
১৯৭০ সালে ১৭ই জানুয়ারী দৈনিক সংগ্রামে সহকারী সম্পাদক হিসাবে যোগদানের মাধ্যমে তিনি সার্বক্ষণিক সাংবাদিক জীবনের শুরু করেন।
১৯৮১ সালে তিনি দৈনিক সংগ্রামের সম্পাদকের দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করেন। তিনি সুপরিচিত একজন প্রাবন্ধিক ও কলামিস্ট। এ পর্যন্ত প্রকাশিত তাঁর গ্রন্থের মধ্যে রয়েছে ইতিহাস গ্রন্থ ‘কাল পঁচিশের আগে ও পরে’ এবং ‘একশ’ বছরের রাজনীতি’, ঐতিহাসিক ঘটনার চিত্রধর্মী গল্প ‘আমরা সেই সে জাতি’ (তিন খন্ড) এবং প্রবন্ধ সংকলন ‘একুশ শতকের এজেন্ডা’। তাঁর সবচেয়ে সাড়া জাগানো সাহিত্যকর্ম হলো ‘সাইমুম সিরিজ’। রহস্য, রোমাঞ্চ, ইতিহাস ও নৈতিকতার সমন্বয়ে গড়া এ এক অনন্য রহস্য সিরিজ। এ পর্যন্ত এই সিরিজের ৫৭ টি বই প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। তিনি বর্তমানে সংগ্রামের সম্পাদকের দায়িত্ব পালন ছাড়াও তাঁর বহুমুখী সাহিত্যকর্ম অব্যাহত রেখেছেন।


Abul Asad (Bengali: আবুল আসাদ) is a writer and journalist in Bangladesh. He is the editor of the The Daily Sangram.

Early life and education:
He was born in Norshinghopur village of Baghnara thana of Rajshahi in 1942. His father, A.K Samsalul Haque was a scholar from a madrasah at Benaras in India. His mother’s name is Mojida Begum. Abul Asad completed his MA in economics from Rajshahi University.


Journalism:
He started his career as a writer and journalist from his student life itself. He worked as a Rajshahi based journalist in several dailies and weekly publications. His columns on politics and culture, written while he was a student, were popular and set him in his career as a journalist. He began his career in journalism from 17 January 1970 as an assistant editor of the Daily Sangram. In 1981, he took over responsibility as the editor of the Daily Sangram. He is also a columnist and essayist.

Literature:
He has published several books such as “Kaal Pochish Er Aage O Pore” and “Eksho Bochor Er Raajniti” on regional history and politics, “Amra Shei Sei Jaati” a three part series of story based events in a historical context, and an essay based compilation “Ekush Shotoker Agenda”. His most popular literary work up to date has been the “Saimum Series”, a series which showcases literary fiction combining suspense, romance and morality within a historical context and setting. Till now, 57 books have been published in this popular series. Presently, Abul Asad continues to write novels along with being the editor to the Daily Sangram.

I have not yet read saimum #54, but 1 to 53 I already read several times..... Thanks to writer and related all.... It's make me so passionate..... I think these types of book will change our younger generation for their root and destination .....
