It's release day! I could NOT be more excited to finally share Catch the Wind with the world. I fell head over heels for Maddie and Marie-Ève's love story while writing this book, and it's been bittersweet not only to see them reach their happily ever-after but also bring the Balsam Inn series to an end. This might be our last trip to La Cloche, but I know the gang is going to stay in my heart forever, and I'm so grateful to every reader who's given them a place on bookshelves far and wide.
Catch the Wind is full of all the cozy small town vibes you've come to know and love at Balsam Inn, along with a healthy serving of spice, of course! If you enjoy some light enemies to lovers banter, a 'returning to your home town after life in the big city' character arc, and a bit of boss x employee workplace drama, you're in for a treat! This book can also totally be read as a standalone if you're new to the Balsam Inn world and want to dive straight in.

Ugh I LOVED THIS BOOK.
Katia Rose knows how to write a story. I’ve read every book of hers and anytime I see a new one come out, I have to get my hands on it.
Honestly, this one was my favorite yet. Marie-Eve and Maddie were such lovable characters and they really showed your last doesn’t define your future. They both grew so much from when they were younger, and looked past the problems there were.
Their love for one another was so sweet and I seriously couldn’t put this book down. It wasn’t just about their love, but also about finding themselves when they least expect it, and with someone they least expected.
Katia Rose knows how to write a story. I’ve read every book of hers and anytime I see a new one come out, I have to get my hands on it.

Even if I prefer to read about slightly older characters, I found Maddie and Marie-Ève endearing and mature. I would not call them former arch-nemeses as Maddie was a victim of bullying and Marie-Ève was complicit in this bullying. It’s a serious matter, and I was looking forward to seeing Marie-Ève finding redemption. It turns out, Rose played it smartly because I wasn’t mad at the character and I wanted her to own her actions, which she did immediately. I admit I wanted to see Maddie releasing some rage at some point but she is a way better person that I am. Maddie still going through that trauma and being triggered by Marie-Ève's presence, seeing her change but not believing it, felt real and was heartbreaking. I recognize now Rose’s signature where characters fall in love through mutual comfort and physical attraction. Personally, it’s not enough to make me believe 100% in a love story, but it garantees sweet and spicy scenes.
I have a confession: I still don't understand what Marie-Ève's job is and why she couldn't earn money remotely in other ways than finding a job in La Cloche. I wished to understand how Marie Eve ended up wanting to stay in La Cloche. I saw the premise of the idea, but her seeing her endorse it fully felt a little rushed and the resolution a bit too easy. I also wished to see her truly resolve her conflict with her father, even if we can see the first step of it in the last chapter.
Overall, I enjoyed this book.

You don't read any school bully reconnecting novels for ages then two come along at once! As with all the two at once I have read recently, they are fortunately different.
I enjoyed the start but we know from the synopsis she gets the job so I was a bit impatient for that to happen. Some of the intervening detail just felt a bit too long..... not the back story bits but I was, as I said a tad impatient for the story to move on.... possibly because I felt it ignited or at least warmed up when the two mains were literally on the same page.
I felt pacing drifted a couple of times but the big future conversation and declaration were emotional.
Some bits a wee bit under 3 and some above 3, so a comfortable recommendation at 3.

The only thing I hate about a Katia Rose book is that it ends. When I finish a book by her, I’m always really sad that I can’t read it again for the first time, the book hangover is insane. She might just be my favorite author.
Catch the Wind is the third book in the Balsam Inn series. It’s an interconnected standalone, you can start anywhere in the series but you’ll get some spoilers if you don’t start with Paint the Moon.
I want Maddie to be my best friend. An analytical, finance oriented, geeky Doctor Who fan with a preference for Ten? SIGN ME UP!
Seeing a character like Maddie with a great amount of support from friends and family feel like there’s a part of her insecurities that she can’t share with them for shame absolutely broke my heart. I felt so much for Marie-Ève, to be forced to fit into a role that she does not want to play as a mean girl in school, perhaps not actively participating in bullying but standing by while others do. Not wanting to succeed simply because of her name but by her own merits and having her privacy violated precisely by who her father is and having those pictures follow her throughout and affect her professional life is terrible.
I’ll always be a sucker for a second chance and I adored the yearning.

Catch the Wind was really, really good: a very solid 4.5/5 star read — it was everything I hoped it would be, as I waited for the best part of a year to read Maddie’s story: Katia Rose has knocked it out of the park, again (and I should know, this is the 13th of her novels that I've binged like this); Balsam Inn has very quickly become a favourite sapphic romance novel series of mine; this one is definitely my favourite of Katia's works (my only gripe is that it isn’t longer and that the series is over! I could’ve happily spent two or three times the page count with these characters!!).
Maddie & Marie-Ève’s story was amazing (yes, as per, you'll get hit with the signature laugh, cry, swoon combo) and I loved being dropped into La Cloche and spending time with all the wonderful characters again.
As I said in my review of Book 2. If you've been sleeping on this trilogy, and not yet picked up Paint the Moon, what are you waiting for?! Do it - and then get on Touch the Sky & Catch the Wind asap (in order!): you won't regret it.

It’s a flame ready to set fire to all the kindling that’s been piling up inside me for weeks.
I know once the wood catches, there’ll be no way for me to put the inferno out.
As I said in my review of Book 2. If you've been sleeping on this trilogy, and not yet picked up Paint the Moon, what are you waiting for?! Do it - and then get on Touch the Sky & Catch the Wind asap (in order!): you won't regret it.

Catch the Wind was such a satisfying return to the Balsam Inn and Maddie absolutely deserved this story.
I’ve loved this whole series, but I’ve always had a soft spot for Maddie. Spreadsheet-loving, order-seeking, quietly carrying the weight of past bullying, she’s the kind of character who feels deeply real. So throwing her together with Marie-Ève - one of the people tied to that painful high school history -was a bold and emotionally rich move.
This isn’t a simple enemies-to-lovers story. It’s about trauma, accountability, growth, and whether forgiveness can truly make space for something new. I really appreciated that Marie-Ève isn’t let off the hook. She has to sit in the discomfort of what she did (or didn’t do) and genuinely earn Maddie’s trust. That redemption arc is handled with care, and it made the romance believable.
The emotional depth is what stood out most. Maddie’s struggle with feeling worthy, with risking the sanctuary she built for herself, hit hard. Watching distrust slowly shift into longing was delicious. And yes, the spice absolutely delivers, but it’s layered with vulnerability, which made it land even more.
Not just a romance, but a story about courage and reclaiming your narrative. Another beautiful, heartfelt instalment in a series that continues to feel like home.

This book was over far sooner than I expected. Suddenly I had reached the epilogue while still feeling as though there was so much more story left to tell. I'm still not entirely sure whether that's a positive or a negative. Did the story feel incomplete, or did it simply fly by because it was such an enjoyable read? I think the answer is a little bit of both. Either way, it was a very pleasant reading experience.
Overall, I enjoyed it a lot, although I think I liked the first two books in the series just a little more. Still, this was a strong addition to the series and definitely worth reading. 4+ ⭐️

I have been anxiously awaiting Katia Rose’s next book in the Balsam Inn series and was beyond thrilled for the privilege of receiving an early copy to read! I genuinely felt like a little kid at Christmas getting their most desired toy! Yay! This third installment is every bit as fantastic as the first two were and I was thrilled to return to the Balsam Inn! I have truly loved each and every character but I kind of developed a soft spot for Maddie and was so happy to finally dig into her story and read about her much deserved happy ending! Catch The Wind is a wonderful sapphic love story that offers a brilliant and unique twist on the enemies to lovers concept with so much more depth and beauty. Katia Rose offers a story of courage, growth and redemption along with finding not only oneself but also your special someone.
This is most definitely the story of Maddie but it cannot be told without Marie Eve in more ways than one. Maddie cherishes order, stability and finds joy in the rigidity of spreadsheets largely because of the traumatic bullying she experienced in high school and unfortunately, Marie Eve played a pretty large role. Maddie has spent years working her butt off to make Balsam Inn into a sanctuary after the cruelty she survived in high school and she is terrified to jeopardize that by hiring Marie Eve to work there. But Maddie, Jacinthe and Natalie are in a bind and they need help immediately. Even though it is clear that Marie Eve is down on her luck and trying desperately to fix her life after some pretty significant failures. I appreciated Maddie even more because she never takes any pleasure in Marie Eve’s obvious desperation and shortcomings. I didn't know if I'd have been so humble and ethically righteous if my high school tormentor returned to my hometown and I was a glaring success and they were a dumpster fire…but Maddie is perhaps a better woman than I.
Marie Eve has done some things in her life she regrets and perhaps none more than mistreating Maddie. She has grown, changed for the better and tried to reinvent herself outside of high school and La Cloche. But now she must as she accepts the job at the Balam Inn working alongside Maddie, she must live in the frightening vulnerability of being truly seen by someone who vividly remembers and was deeply affected by the worst version of you. We do get to know Marie Eve, as does Maddie of course, and it's clear that she is not exactly the awful villain we’d thought. Yes, she enabled bullying in high school and that was absolutely wrong but she was also a scared and cowardly teenager who stood idly by while others bullied Maddie in an effort for self preservation. I felt like Katia Rose does a great job at softening Marie Eve and helps to endear her a bit while never letting her off the hook completely.
I loved the depth and careful attention to emotional detail employed in the book. It reminded me how amazing Katia Rose is at writing relatable flawed characters that I absolutely fall in love with along with stories that burrow into my heart. The romance was wonderful but it wasn't so much a will they or wont they type of scenarios but rather can Maddie make space for someone in her life that is tied to so much past trauma? I was glued to each page and the senses where Marie Eve begins to realize how much she truly traumatized and hurt Maddie were very impactful. I don't know that I could have rooted for the two of them together had Marie Eve not truly earned her redemption through consistent behavior changes and genuine regret and sorrow for her past action…or inaction as it were.
Over time what started off as dislike and distrust blossoms into something so beautiful. Katia Rose writes with so much passion and has the ability to create something incredible. Maddie and Marie Eve find their footing and somewhere along the line forgiveness gives way to so much more. The chemistry is off the charts and I could see the intensity of desire building up slowly, bit by bit. The lingering looks and little touches here and there were delicious in their build up. I felt like every interaction was loaded with attraction but also the undeniable power of regret and forgiveness. Their journey was much more emotional then I prepared for and I found myself so deeply invested in these women. I wanted them to choose each other, to forgive one another and themselves, to fight for something real and to embrace their love…and they did! I love the way that Katia Rose incorporates steamy romantic interludes because not only are these scenes so hot but they are delicately vulnerable. The spice in this book was fantastic, beautifully written and made me believe in Maddie and Marie Eve. This is exactly what I have come to expect and adore from Katia Rose.

I know this story will remain dancing around in my heart and mind for a long while…talk about book hangover in the best way. Katia Rose writing is like a breath of fresh air. She writes delicate and beautiful prose but with so much love, sweetness and gentle humor. I always felt entertained and invested in this book as I have in everything I have read by Katia Rose. I loved the soft, hopeful, messy, emotional and just beautiful sapphic romance in Catch the Wind. I very highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a compelling sapphic romance with wonderfully complex characters and a wonderfully brilliant love story! I am going to miss La Cloche & the Balsam Inn a great deal. I always get so attached to the wonderful series created by Katia Rose. I will most certainly re-read the entire Balsam Inn series as I keenly anticipate Rose’s next moving and fantastic sapphic romance.

I simply LOVE this final installment of the Balsam Inn trilogy especially when it's located in the Laurentians! And, Maddie and Marie-Ève have got to be my absolute FAVE pairings in the trilogy! OMG, their tension could cut glass! Yet their interactions (verbal or not) are so warm and fuzzy, downright adorable! And their build-up? Whoa! Let's just say, their intoxicating and sizzling chemistry knows no bounds! That. Is. All.
Oh, how I love Katia Rose's narrative style, her prose so very personable, authentic funny, and resonating. I was absolutely enamoured with Marie-Ève's story that Rose crafted with such depth that every layer you peeled as you delved deeper into her life, you discovered something more complex (or tragic) than the last, until you reached the absolute core of who she really was, her true self, in contrast to everything that happened throughout her life that shaped who she became, developing a mask she chose to wear, instead. I was also captivated by Maddie's own story of trauma and circumstances which shaped the person she grew up to become and believed in as her truth.
In essence, this book is not just about these women falling in love with each other. On a deeper and a more consequential level, it is really about Marie-Ève and Maddie's own life journey and how their past with unresolved trauma shaped who they became and what they believed, particularly about themselves.

Oh, how I love Katia Rose's narrative style, her prose so very personable, authentic funny, and resonating. I was absolutely enamoured with Marie-Ève's story that Rose crafted with such depth that every layer you peeled as you delved deeper into her life, you discovered something more complex (or tragic) than the last, until you reached the absolute core of who she really was, her true self, in contrast to everything that happened throughout her life that shaped who she became, developing a mask she chose to wear, instead. I was also captivated by Maddie's own story of trauma and circumstances which shaped the person she grew up to become and believed in as her truth.
In essence, this book is not just about these women falling in love with each other. On a deeper and a more consequential level, it is really about Marie-Ève and Maddie's own life journey and how their past with unresolved trauma shaped who they became and what they believed, particularly about themselves.

Katia Rose writes great series - and the Balsam Inn trilogy is another one where I wish there were more people owning the Inn so that I could continue to come back and visit them over and over again!

Maddie has always been in the shadows of her older cousins in the previous books, held up for her business sense and work ethic, but was always the voice of reason rather than being passionate about anything other than numbers and analysis. She recognizes that in herself and believes that is the only reason why people like her or want to be around her. Luckily, in Catch the Wind, we get to see so much more of Maddie and know that others see her for everything she is.
Marie-Eve is the new character in the third book. Initially I’m thinking I don’t like her, but her redemption arc was strong and I love that she found happiness and love well she re-discovered her own worth.
Marie-Eve is such an interesting character to add to the Balsam Inn world. I found it really interesting her love/hate relationship with media and social media. Her understanding of how it can help people and businesses thrive and she has the power to make the simplest things go viral! Yet, she also knows the power it has to destroy someone. It’s a great juxtaposition and handled so well.
If you haven’t read Paint the Sky or Touch the Moon yet – do it! Once you’re done with the Balsam Inn Trilogy - go and read the Three Rivers Trilogy and get to explore another group of fierce women and the people they fall in love with!

This book follows Maddie as she evaluates her purpose and value while continuing to help manage the inn she co-owns. She is surprised to see her high school bully's sidekick show up for the inn's job fair. Can she put the past behind her and build a better future?
After a failed business venture, Marie-Ève has returned to La Cloche to regroup. She shows up at the job fair hoping for summer employment. She is shocked to see Maddie, whom her friends used to bully in high school, as the hiring decision-maker.
Katia Rose is always a win for me, and this installment did not disappoint. It was low angst, a bit of spice, sweet moments, character growth, and a lovely setting in small-town Quebec. There were a few chuckles as well. I like the found-family support and group dynamics, as well as the relationship between Maddie and Marie-Ève.
Kudos for female empowerment in business.
One criticism is that it was hard to believe that Marie-Ève didn't already know that Maddie was one of the owners of the Balsam Inn before she showed up for the job fair (unless I missed something). Just ignore that, and it is a very entertaining, light-hearted, contemporary romance.

I have loved to read all three books in the Balsam Inn series but Catch the Wind featuring Maddie is now my favourite. It is so easy to relate to her and when I read this I knew I loved her:
“The job fair was an utter disaster—so disastrous I ended up locking myself in one of the empty guest rooms with my laptop to engage in my favourite stress-relieving activity: making spreadsheets.”
Everyone who knows me are aware of that is exactly what I do in such a situation.
Maddie is the Jacinthe’s younger cousin that owns and runs the Balsam Inn together with Jacinthe and Natalie. They are both now in relationships, only Maddie still alone. Maddie, the former financial risk analyst they rely so much on, she is always the responsible person despite being youngest, feels that is how she must be to be worth something. Her feeling of not being worth much comes from her high school days where one of her nemeses was Marie-Ève that suddenly shows up and applies for a job, and Maddie is reminded of all that horrible bullying.
That Marie-Ève is hired is purely out of the fact that Maddie desperately needs help to be able to cope. Soon clear that Marie-Ève may not be as bad as they all initially think, also posh Marie-Ève has a lot to deal with, shitty father and a failed business, and regrets so much how she treated Maddie. It is so fun to follow Marie-Ève’s training, where Maddie initially is forced to bring Marie-Ève along but soon no burden at all, she is kind of hot after all. Is this for real or is all still a joke for Marie-Ève. Maddie deserves the absolute best so while reading you just sit and cheer her on.
Once again, I love everything with the whole Balsam Inn idea and the description of the small town La Cloche. It is a place that makes so many impossible things possible and great to also get a bit more of Jacinte and Natalie. This whole series is absolutely worth a read, but if you only want to pick one of the standalone books, Catch the Wind is the one to read.

Catch the Wind is a wonderful conclusion to the Balsam Inn series by Katia Rose and I loved returning to La Cloche and catching up with the characters from the first two books in the series and finding out how they were going with running their new B&B.
In Catch the Wind we finally get to read Maddie's journey towards finding both herself and a sense of hope for the future. After being bullied during her school days due to her being publicly out, Maddie has struggled to find her self confidence and remained rigidly caught up in the rules of numbers, formulas and predictions that have served her well up until now. She has found her place alongside her two best friends owning and running the Balsam Inn B&B. However, her life is turned upside down when Marie-Ève Thibodeau returns to La Cloche and turns up at Balsam Inn broke and desperate for a job.
What follows is an emotional journey that made me laugh and cry and hope that the two women could find their way through their respective hurts and overcome their painful shared history to find that, just maybe, there is a place for both of them in La Cloche and the possibility of a shared future. I really enjoyed learning more about the community as Maddie and her friends take Marie-Ève on a tour of La Cloche to introduce her to the community so that she would be better placed to recommend them to their guests at the inn.
Although Catch the Wind could be read as a stand-a-lone I would definitely recommend you read the first two books in the series first: Paint the Moon and Touch the Sky to get the back story on the origins of Balsam Inn and meet the other characters who feature in this book.

When they see Maddie's reaction, both remember how she was her bully and move to toss her out. But they haven't found a receptionist, so Maddie agrees to interview her.and it turns out she's perfect for the job. So, Maddie agrees they need her. And her social media skills suddenly send them viral..
But Marie still literally knows nothing about the town, which is a issue. So the group decides to show Marie the town. Also, Marie comes out to Maddie as bi. Marie also reveals why she kind of disappeared... compromising photos were printed of her. Twice. So she decided to reinvent herself in the big city... but it fell through and now she needs this job to pay off her debts.
Maddie and her kiss at a rafting event, then Maddie has a panic attack later. Marie reassures her it was totally consensual, and they start dating as Marie realizes she likes the town and the people she's meeting.
Marie has it out with her Dad over his neglect, Maddie invites her to live with her family. Jacinthe catches them, and Maddie has a freak out. Turns out she's struggled with low self esteem awhile now, and she thought her friends only liked her for her dependability. They talk it out.
Marie and her go official couple, and Marie decides to move there permanently, opening a business center.

I’ve really enjoyed all three books in the Balsam Inn series but I think Catch the Wind just might be my favorite. These books are such cozy comfort reads for me and I wish the Balsam Inn really existed so I could visit.
Catch the Wind features a bully and enemies to lovers trope but the bully Marie-Eve is no longer the person she was in high school. Maddie has always been the responsible dependable geeky girl. Marie-Eve was the trendy girl that ran with the popular bullying crowd. In high school Marie-Eve helped make Maddie’s life hell but she was suffering in her own way too. Now Marie-Eve is back in the small town of La Cloche trying to pick up the pieces of her failed business attempt while living with her successful business man father and his wife. Maddie is now a co-owner of the successful Balsam Inn and their success means hiring some new staff. Unfortunately they waited too long in the season to hire help so when Marie-Eve applies for the receptionist position Maddie reluctantly offers her the job. The women get to know each other now, instead of only focusing on who they were in the past. But still it’s hard for Maddie to get over what she went through as a teen.
I loved the push and pull between these characters and discovering what made each of them special. At first they didn’t seem like the perfect fit for each other but they really were what the other needed. I loved seeing them fall for each other. The spicy scenes were perfectly balanced and beautifully written.
Catch the Wind can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend all the books in this series. If you’re a fan of contemporary cozy romance with minimal angst then book your stay at Balsam Inn.

Holy smokes, I loved this book so much!
I’ve loved Natalie and Jass since their books, but I’ve somehow always had a soft spot for Maddie. This book completely confirmed why.
She is such a powerful freaking woman, but at the same time she has such a sensitive soul. I adored getting to know her better. I’ve loved this entire series and it’s been such a pleasure being along for the ride as the Inn has grown and changed over the years.
Marie-Ève was such a dark horse for me. When she was first introduced, I expected a lot more ice queen vibes from her, but wow was I wrong. She completely surprised me. She’s warm, open, caring, and honestly just wonderful. I loved her far more than I expected to.
I love the way Katia tells a story. Her descriptions are always on point, but what really gets me is the way she writes emotions. Everything feels so raw and genuine that I couldn’t help but feel every bit of it right alongside the characters.
I also really appreciated that the story wasn’t full of unnecessary drama. The relationship developed naturally, the characters grew together, and nothing felt forced. I genuinely enjoyed every second of it.
One of my favourite parts was how both Maddie and Marie-Ève’s traumas were handled. They didn’t magically disappear, but they faced them together and supported each other through it all. I loved watching them grow through those experiences and learn how to lean on each other when things got hard.
I was also once again reminded of how much I freaking love Jass.
Overall, this was such a fantastic read and another wonderful addition to a series that I’ve absolutely loved from the beginning.

Katia Rose does it again!
I read books one and two of the Balsam Inn trilogy on KU and enjoyed them both. So, I was eager to accept an ARC of this and it didn’t disappoint.
I happened to catch the movie ‘Mean Girls’ on TV the other day and it turned out to be thoroughly appropriate given the story in this. Here, the third of the Balsam Inn trio, Maddie, gets her own love story. But as Shakespeare said ‘The path of true love never did run smooth’ and such is the case for Maddie. When Balsam Inn needs a new receptionist, the only applicant turns out to be someone from her past, someone who was part of the set of girls who bullied and belittled her at school. Maddie has major self-esteem issues stemming from that time and she starts off extremely reluctant to give the former mean girl, Marie-Eve, a chance at the job. But needs must and she gets her try-out. What nether really expects is the mutual attraction that grows between them. When at school, whilst Maddie was out and proud, Marie-Eve wasn’t brave enough to be honest about her bisexuality. And she has major amends to make to get any kind of chance with Maddie.
This was really nicely done as Maddie’s need for control and general insecurity almost wrecks things. It takes an honest conversation with her ‘bull in a China shop’ cousin before she starts to see that she has more value than just as a maths geek. This is the kind of read that feels like the comfort of a warm blanket on an autumn night and leaves you feeling uplifted at the end. Delightful!

Catch the Wind is the final book in the Balsam Inn series and follows Maddie, the youngest of the trio but also the most organized and responsible one. The inn is thriving and they are becoming more popular, to the point of needing more staff, but a nemesis from Maddie's past is not what she was expecting. Marie-Eve never expected to be back in La Cloche, let alone with her tail between her legs, despair over the state of her career, and then coming face to face to a woman she had been a bully to. Could this opportunity be what they both need to heal from the past or will those old wounds continue to fester?
I've very much enjoyed this series and it is bittersweet to see it end but it was wonderful to see Maddie's story unfold. Since book one, I've had a soft spot for Maddie. In this book we find that things that happened in the past, still have a way of haunting you. But with the right person (that may have haunted you in the past), you learn to grow, to accept yourself and to be there for you. Because Maddie is also deserving.
The writing style is easy going and there is a little angst, but nothing that would dampen your mood. I have to say it's all very cute, especially since it's once again set in La Cloche.
My French is horrible, so I had to look up some words, but it works with the story and from the context, you can pretty much figure out what it means.
This book left me feeling good, with hope in my heart that even if you feel like you're not seen for who you really are, people really do see you. If you have the courage to speak up, you'll find, just like Maddie, that you are valued for much more than you give yourself credit for.
The romance is sweet, starting from a situationship that quickly becomes more, because, well....feelings!
Our friends from the previous two books play a role in this book, as they should and it once again becomes clear that getting into business together, was the best idea for all three of their futures!

Wow. This might be my favorite book in this series. I connected so much with these characters! It made me feel all my emotions.
Marie-Ève had such an amazing charater arch. She grew emotionally in a way I really enjoyed reading. Her family life was hard and I relate a lot to how it all went down. There was a nice, realistic, in my opinion, conclusion to that as well.
I liked Maddie as a side character in the last two books, but I wasn’t totally sure how her own story would play out. I can say now, without a doubt, that I love Maddie dearly. Her fears are very relatable to me and also something I struggle with. Loving yourself and feeling like enough for those around you can be really hard to do. Watching her work through that and do things that scared her anyway was beautiful.
I liked the bit of spice we got as well. It was very classic Katia. The scene in chapter 18 gave me wonderful back flashes to chapter 14 from Passing Through.
As people who read my reviews know, I am weary of all third-act breaks, but somehow Katia always manages to make these breaks work seamlessly with the story. They always fit and this was no exception to that.
These two MCs were incredibly compatible and absolutely adorable together. I completely adored this story. Thank you the Katia for gifting me with this eARC of the book.

I really liked the two previous books in the series so I’m always apprehensive when a new book comes on a beloved series, but I was really excited to read Maddie’s story. I think between the three of them, she’s the one I relate to the most and getting to know her better made me like her even more. The whole thing with not knowing/believing in your self worth hits a little too close to home. Not knowing if people really appreciate you for who you are or for what you accomplish, I get it. Anyway… all that aside, I already loved the side characters, the city, so all that I needed was for the relationship between Maddie and Marie-Éve to be good and interesting and they did not disappoint. I was glad to see Marie-Éve abandoning her prejudices and falling in love with not only Maddie but with La Cloche and its community. It was great seeing her learning to stand up for herself with her father and her stepmother too. I loved her development as a character and the fact that despite everything that happened in their past I didn’t feel inclined to hate her at all. It was lovely to watch their relationship unfold too! I don’t know if it tops Paint The Moon as my favorite on the series, but it’s at least my second favorite!

I’ve been impatiently waiting for the third Balsam Inn adventure, and now I’m so sad for the series to be over but what a way to end it!
I devoured Catch the Wind, which says a lot for me, considering I haven’t really read any books since the last time Katia Rose released one. So the fact that I could start and finish this in two short nights, reading late into the night, just shows how great the story is. I really liked Maddie and Marie-Ève’s characters as individuals and as a couple together. Maddie’s deep dive into her self-worth, and realizing that although the time she spent being bullied in school had passed, you can still see how she hasn’t fully worked through it all. It was wonderful to see her realize that and start taking the steps needed to truly move past it and believe in herself.
