Eve really likes these. She doesn’t like listening for too long, but she can mostly sit through one of these. They are fun. I like that they don’t talk down to kids. They are written Iike a normal book, with a variety of vocabulary and structure. There are some new words for the kids, but not so many it’s inaccessible. Holly visits Pony Island from a secret tunnel by her great aunts oak tree. Each time she visits, she helps solve a problem at the island. Eve like the fairy ponies and magic. She says she wants more books with fairies and the like. Some are terrible or written so dumbed down that I can’t stand them, so we’ll be looking for more that are better, like these.
This book was good.It was about shadow and the ponies where loosing their magic and then puck goes to the river the have a wash but then finds out that he can’t fly anymore and Holly finds out that’s how the ponies where loosing their magic .Then they dive into the water to see if they find anything and then they get taken to the dark woods by this lack stone. They see shadow and he is taking away the powers of the fairy Queen by saying a spell and drinking it up himself. Then they leave to get the throne.Holly and Puck do to the river and discover that there is still some of the fairy queens magic left in the water and drink it.They go to the castle where the dying queen says to say the banishing spell and then they say it with more fairy unicorns and then they get rid of the evil shadow. But the queen is still dying and when Holly cries for her that’s how she is able to live .💕

Another fun installment of the Fairy Ponies series. This time the bad ponies are trying to steal all the magic from the ponies by using a special two way pool mirror (which was kind of confusing because the title is Enchanted Mirror but the mirror is actually the ponds) and Holly and Puck - as always - save the day. Overall kids really enjoyed it and I did too.
This book definitely seems like it should be the end of the series - or maybe was intended to be the end of the series. The way it's written it sounds like the end of the summer and the resolution is pretty final - definitely doesn't seem like the bad ponies will be back - so that there are more books is kind of interesting.
I really like how they defeated shadow, cause he is always the one trying to take the throne. But with the pony magic, they defeated shadow, so now he'll never come back again!

Maggie says: so the girl was sleeping and she got a note from Puck to say come quick, so she did. Puck said all the ponies were losing their magic. They went to the pony pools and were sucked through a whirlpool. Shadow was on the other side and was trying to get all the pony magic and trapped the Queen. She was weak and Holly and Puck needed to save her so they wrote a note in the sky. All the ponies said spells to get rid of shadow and the Queen was okay.
