I definitely think this issue was a significant improvement over the first one. A lot of the cringeworthy kid dialogue that bothered me in the debut issue is absent here, which made for a much smoother reading experience. We also get several changes from the original television story, giving readers enough new material to stay invested and curious about where things are going.
That said, we still have no explanation for the random robot bear introduced in the first issue, which remains a strange loose end. My biggest hurdle with this series continues to be the artwork. I can overlook certain flaws in a comic, but when the art makes up the majority of the reading experience, it becomes much harder to ignore. It simply does not resonate with me, and despite my best efforts, I am not a fan of the style.
At this point, I am still hesitant to recommend the series, whether you're a fan of the source material or not.

Bigger improvement over the quality compared to the first issue, I loved the designs of the new aliens and it also teases how brutal the series is about to become, have high hopes for the upcoming issues.

this is solid. i still don’t like the art much at all. but the story is pretty interesting and i like the darker take on one of my favorite childhood shows.

Alien designs are sick, cannon bolt is a little weird though. Military arc is a great addition and the prose is decent!

Viendo que el primer número se siente algo rápido en entrar todo el incidente- incitador, acá también se siente rápido; pero la trama con el coronel Rozum y Max está bastante genial. Además, el arte de Robert Carey está hermoso y hace ver que los diseños de los alienígenas que, en un principio trajeron algo de polémica cuando se mostraron las portadas, se sienta dinámico y natural verlos. En especial, Cannonball, del cual considero que es un diseño polémico; sin embargo, por cómo está dirigido sus paneles, se siente lindo y a la vez tétrico de verlo.

Estoy interesado en leer más sobre esta nueva versión de Ben 10. A ver qué tal está la siguiente grapa.

Edición de la primera reseña, agregando algunos datos después de volver a leer el #2 de esta nueva era de Ben 10: Me di cuenta de que, ya sea por las reseñas que se dieron cuando se reveló un poco de los primeros paneles de la historia en la página de Dynamite, de un momento a otro, el diseño original de Gwen cambió al final del capítulo. Y es raro ver ese cambio, pues en las primeras páginas se ve al personaje con su diseño original. Se ve que las críticas del público dieron una retroalimentación positiva y se está dando unos grandes cambios en los diseños. Eso sí, aun sigo pensando que la obra está yendo muy rápido; empero, siendo sincero, este es el único número que se siente raudo en la historia y lento en exposición de mundo y de diálogo.
