[ Loving one brother felt familiar. Loving the other felt inevitable. ]
She spent ten years chasing after the right brother, only to fall for the wrong one in one weekend.
Sloane Mercer has been hopelessly in love with her best friend, Finn Hartley, since college. For ten long years, she’s stood by him, stitching him back together every time Delilah Crestfield—his toxic, on-and-off girlfriend—shattered his heart.
But when Delilah gets engaged to another man, Sloane thinks this might finally be her chance to have Finn for herself.
She couldn’t be more wrong.
Heartbroken and desperate, Finn decides to crash Delilah’s wedding and fight for her one last time. And he wants Sloane by his side.
Reluctantly, Sloane follows him to Asheville, hoping that being close to Finn will somehow make him see her the way she’s always seen him.
Everything changes when she meets Knox Hartley, Finn’s older brother—a man who couldn’t be more different from Finn.
He’s dangerously magnetic.
Knox sees right through Sloane and makes it his mission to pull her into his world. What starts as a game—a twisted bet between them—soon turns into something deeper.
Now, Sloane is trapped between two one who’s always broken her heart and another who seems hell-bent on claiming it… no matter the cost.
This is Book 1/4 in A Love Triangle Dark Romance Series.
I stumbled across this book after seeing an AI short and hoping there had to be a similar book around somewhere, and luckily there was the exact book and it was a series!
Sloane had been in love with her selfish idiot “best friend” Finn for 10 years. He treats her like a commodity and she allows it. Finn has been in a love-hate, on-off relationship with Delilah for years and Sloane is always there to pick up the pieces for Finn, the manipulative piece of stale turd. During an off period, hoebag Delilah is set to marry a rich guy and fuckface Finn has roped Sloane into travelling to his family’s home state to attend the wedding in an attempt to stop it. He ditches her at the airport because he ain’t shit. Enter Knox, the red flag older brother. He’s the Damon Salvatore and he’s everything we all want in a man. He’s also everything Sloane needs, she just doesn’t realise it yet.
This isn’t a literary masterpiece, but it’s a great story!
