British Studio Potter's Marks

Rate this book
This is the first truly comprehensive directory of 20th century British Studio Potters marks. There have been previous books on manufacturers' marks, but there has been little on the marks of individual studio potters. The entries are arranged alphabetically. Each entry gives biographical data, information on the type of ceramics produced, location of pottery and dates as to when the mark has changed, along with examples of different marks used. There are also three useful indexes, based on the mark's image (e.g. animals, initials and other figures) to help the user.
This book is for all potters, collectors, museums, auction houses, and shops, as well as anyone generally interested in British pottery.
