This was a sweet story. I liked all the characters, they had depth and the MMCs each had great personalities. They were all different enough that I didn’t have to double check whose POV I was reading 😂
Silas and Graham are straight away obsessed with Lark. They were both adorable with her, it was so cute.
Saint is the third MMC, he’s dealing with some things. He’s basically at war with himself and doesn’t want an omega / doesn’t think he can give her what she needs.
There’s no 3rd act breakup and it’s pretty much instalust from the beginning (for most of the characters).
I didn’t love the writing style and there were a few too many spicy scenes. I have no issues with smut and I don’t mind when there’s a lot of it, but the plot needed a little more to balance it out.
Overall, it’s a sweet fun story with adorable characters.
Non-spoiler section: From page 1 the books name really held up and Lark was the absolute Boss Lady. I loved the building of the relationships and it was an interesting choice on how the pack first met her. Because I recieved this as an ARC I made sure to read even the description of the Omegaverse, even though I am not new to the trope/genre. I appreciated Paige Hammonds' distinction on how her world could be different from others and why she gave the description. Writing is about originality and imagination so commend her for staying true to her version of the Omegaverse with the developing technology and no suffocating government policies that so many focus on.
If you are looking for an omegaverse reverse harem (FMMM) that has a lot of good feels with a little bit of angst this is a great pick!
Spoilers!!!
When I read the description given to me I was really excited about the trauma found in the first responders perspective. I myself have worked as an EMT so I know some of what can be seen and hoped to see a good balance of how someone may handle the pressure of the job. I believe Saint was a good portrayal of a response but we must remember no 2 people face it the same way. From the loss of his mother, to injury on the job, and not being able to use his typical stress relievers in order to help manage, he became a volcano which erupted in the coffee shop. I am curious why he wasn't able to use modified workout routines though as it was only his shoulder that seemed to be injured. There are still plenty of exercises focusing on lower body/cardio and he should be attending Physical Therapy during the healing stages so that he doesn't develop a frozen shoulder. But thats my medical side coming out and this is an Omegaverse which can have its own rules, haha. I do wish we actually attended a therapy session with him though. Maybe during that time where he and Lark were joined at the hip? Otherwise I dont think it's right to say in the description that "someone who needs therapy actually goes to therapy" when all we know is that he promised to go and set an appointment.
Silas and Graham, oooohh my gosh!!! The heat was on from the second they met. We have the hot and heavy from Graham but the slow burn from Silas. It was the best of both worlds. Seeing how Silas held himself to another standard as the Pack leader while Graham was just happy to be there and share his knowledge to help the pack. Absolutely adorable love birds!
I am excited to read what is in store for Cammie!! She was a Rockstar best friend to Lark from the beginning and I cant wait to see what unsuspecting pack she gets to hypnotize.
My 2 cents for a future book would be if we could see another side to Graham's research. I'm thinking Abused/neglected Omega who has been on suppressants for years has to stop for medical reasons and her abusive family has decided to auction off her first heat. She secretly submits her information to the database Graham created as a last ditch to be rescued by her scent matches. Could be international or just across the country where they wouldn't have met otherwise.

Lark Jensen has built a life she loves. As a successful omega and the owner of her own company, she has a thriving career with her best friend. But despite everything she's accomplished, something still feels missing. After a dangerous heat that almost kills her, Lark signs up for a heat clinic, hoping to find alphas who can help her through it safely. What she never expects is to find her scent-matched mate, or for him to reject her. Saint may be her match, but he's already part of a pack, and unlike him, his packmates Graham and Silas, are more than willing to give Lark a chance. Together, they refuse to give up on the connection between them and are determined to help Saint overcome the fears holding him back. As feelings deepen and walls begin to crumble, Lark must decide if this pack could be the missing piece she's been searching for all along.
The Boss Omega was my first book by Paige Hammonds, and I really enjoyed it! This is definitely an insta-love omegaverse, and the romance and spice kick off pretty quickly (thanks to some unavoidable circumstances). Scent matches, amirite? Lark is my favorite kind of FMC: strong, independent, and successful. Of the alphas, Graham was easily my favorite. A sexy nerd with glasses? Say less. Silas brought all the confident, protective head-alpha energy and definitely gave off some daddy vibes. Then there's Saint, the emotionally wounded alpha who rejects his scent match. His reasons were understandable (I guess🙄), but I still wanted to both hug him and shake some sense into him.
I also have to give a special shout-out to Cammie. We love a devoted bestie who is always in your corner!
Overall, this was a sweet, entertaining read with lovable characters and plenty of omegaverse goodness. If you're a fan of scent matches, caring alphas, and strong omega heroines, this one is worth checking out! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HEA? yes 3rd act breakup? no 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 ✨Thank you to Paige Hammonds for the ARC to rate and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Lark is a busy bee; she started a company from scratch. She is independent, self-confident, and talkative. She has just one problem... her heat cycles. They are so unmanageable and unbearable that she ended up in the hospital during her last one. So, riding it out alone is no longer an option.
She goes to a clinic and finds her scent-sensitive pack of a lifetime, but... not everyone in the pack is convinced that he deserves Lark as an Omega. And Ahmm... there’s a Daddy Alpha 😉.
This book is deeply engaging and full of heart. Her take on the Omegaverse isn't radically different from the standard tropes, yet she adds her own unique twist. It’s a fantastic read—featuring pack dynamics, pack discussions, and the process of overcoming grief. A lot happens, and the book is truly great. The spice is exceptionally well-written and presented from every POV! Lark is a total Boss B\*tch. And I can't wait for Cammie and Lucy's stories! I’ll definitely be following this author closely—and you should too, if you love Omegaverse!
The title of this book fits the FMC completely to a T. Lark is a take charge kind of omega who has successfully started and is running a box subscription that caters to omegas. She is strong, intelligent, and driven. What she isn't successful with however is her heats. This leads to her both signing up for a heat service and encountering an emotional entanglement when her scent match leaves her high and dry. I love the way that the other MMCs are all in from the very beginning. Saint, the alpha with his head in the wrong body part if you know what I mean, is definitely frustrating. He does have his own reasons for his behavior however and I do appreciate the way that PTSD is approached in this book. The characters are amazing and I love the way that they grow and grow on you (even the emotionally stunted one). The spice is on point. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys omegaverse and even those that may not have given it a try yet. It has more than earned its 5 stars.
Not all books that claim to be “cozy”, are actually that, in my opinion. This one absolutely is, told from all POV. From the blurb, I was thinking this had some element of rejected mate and it does. So Saint, one of the MMCs, was not a favorite. Until he got over his issues, which I don’t think he realized were holding him back. The FMC Lark, was an amazing omega. She was so well balanced, even though she had her own issues. The other 2 MMCs in the pack made up for the bit of drama by being all in right from the start. I loved the fast pace of the story and I was surprised that this was the author’s first omegaverse. There were a couple of inconsistencies in the story, like Lark saying her heats were not regular, then later saying that they were always on time and a couple other things that I would think an editor would catch. Overall, I loved this book and will definitely read the next one.
I absolutely loved this book, it was such a fun read. This book does have quite a bit of smut and instalust/love, but still has substance.
Each character has such a different personality, but they all compliment each other the way you would expect a pack to be. I adored Graham's golden retriever personality and how he was all in from the start with Lark. Silas is the one who always takes care of others and will do anything for his pack. Saint may have taken a while to come around, but it was so easy to see he struggled with staying away. Reading how Lark emphasized with Saint and was so patient with him made me love Lark character even more than her Boss Omega personality.
I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sweet and fun omegaverse read!
I loved Boss B!tch Lark and her pack! Each character in this story has a full and complete arc and each person gets their time in the spotlight. I love how Lark is so against her omega tendencies until she meets her scent match, Saint, and he runs away from her (don’t worry, he pulls his head out of his butt eventually). This leads to Lark meeting the rest of the pack, Silas and Graham, who are both instantly ready to take her home and pack her up. I loved reading each of their backstories and how they came together as a pack and how they learn to grow together once Lark enters their world. This is such a sweet, yet spicy, romance that was fun to read!
LOVE IT. L. O. V. E. I. T. I love it. If you’ve read other reviews of mine, you know I LOVE a cozy romance with no 3rd act breakup and communication between the MCs. Even if there’s a resistant MC, there’s still ongoing communication. I do appreciate angst and drama as well, but nothing hits like a cozy OMV with scent matches. And obsessed Alphas.
These Alphas ARE OBSESSED. Even when one is being resistant and scared of his feelings. And it’s not just the scent match either. They truly care about each other and as a family, make each other better. I love the Pack vibes and found family and this one is exactly all of that.
I love the size difference. The “mountain” and “her giant”. 🫠🫠🫠🫠
It was just….the best. This will be one I return to for a comfort read.
Great debut novel. I loved the friendship between the FMC and her business partner. It was nice to see that continuing and being part of the story rather than the friend disappearing after only a few chapters. There is a good tension. There’s one scene where an alpha goes into his most primal self, and it was very swoon worthy. Absolutely loved this. Will definitely read the next in the series.
Fans of Jessica Winters will enjoy this series.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another super fun Omegaverse read. All the relationships develop very quickly which is sort of the point of omegaverse. Their biology just loves to make things a little more complicated. I like that the science in this one is still developing. You cant just scent a page in a book and know who it is you want. They have different procedures and I liked this different aspect compared to other stores that I have read. The intial rejection of one of her mates in the beginning leading her to the rest of the pack was also fun. Made all of their stories start and develop quickly. This was super fun to read and I am excited to see what comes next.
Loved it and loved the pack. They were supportive of each other, even if some had to pull their head out of their ass to get there. Although he was in love since the texts, he just didn’t know it. Also I really appreciate in the meeting the alphas let Paige shine. They supported and were there but she was a boss bitch.
I’m really rooting for Lucy. I hope she ends up living her best life and finds a pack of her own.
My love of omegaverse came about from fanfiction but I haven't read a lot of novels in this universe. I have to say that Paige's book was one that I will happily read again.
The characters are endearing, human and make you feel all sorts of emotions. You go through their journey with them which is such an experience and the ending is very satisfying. The spice be spicing and is perfectly balanced with the rest of the story. I can't wait to read Cammie's story next.
I loved this book. The plot was original and fun. Overall, I thought it was sweet. We did get a little drama, emotional moments, humor throughout, and spice. There was also some growth and healing too. I loved seeing how the relationships developed between Lark and each of her alphas. They each grew at their own pace. With that, there was some jealousy and challenges though. However, it made those relationships seem more genuine. The steamy scenes were delicious. The ending was perfect!
I’m actively obsessed with everything omega but this one might just be my new favorite. The story the characters everything has me wanting and needing more. Another new to me author and one I’ll definitely be coming back for more. I wish there was more of this book because of the simple fact that I didn’t want it to end!
Story 4⭐️ Spice 3.25🌶️ Very pleasantly surprised by this book and author. I enjoyed the writing style and the editing was on point. Unique characters that you can actually tell apart. A strong 4 star read that I absolutely would recommend to anyone who loves Omegaverse.
I absolutely love any and all OmegaVerse books and I've read lots of them. Saying that, its sometimes hard to find something new, yet Paige Hammonds managed to do that with The Boss Omega aka Boss B-well, you know the rest of that word, its a no no word for Amazon so...😂
Lark is a boss. No, like, literally a boss. She took something we all love, special subscription boxes, and built a business around it, for Omegas. And its not just products that she thinks they'll like, but tested and proven products, that Omegas love but also some that will appeal to beta's and maybe in Alphas. But Lark has no pack and her heats are not friendly to her, in fact they are horribly bad. So she signs up for a heat service, where she "meets" CoffeeGuy aka Saint. When they meet for real for a possible heat match, her Omega automatically knows he's hers. He knows she's his too, but for reasons, he bolts. Unfortunately, its sends Lark into a heat spike and the clinic has to call HIS emergency contacts, in case they are scent matches too. Spoiler, they are.
Thankfully, Silas and Graham are all in from the second they scent her. They're there for her in every form that she needs them, proving to her that she can count on them. Unfortunately, Saint fights the mate pull and causes a lot of tension between everyone. Eventually, he comes around and then the pack bonding begins. Whoo child, I'm always worried about reading new to me authors because not everyone can write a good smexy scene, especially one with group dynamics. Yeah, no worries here, each and every scene is 🥵🥵🥵. Each character has depth and their own personalities, so you never get one confused over the other, even if 2 of their names are very similar. Ish. Similar-ish. Well, they start with an S anyway. lol
I really hope Paige continues to write OV books, this might have been her first, but it was done very well. Thank you so much for giving me the chance to read it early!
I loved this book. I loved the characters, I loved how the pack came together, I think i loved just about everything about this. It just felt so cute and low angst even with a character fighting the match. I thought Graham was adorable and I just wanted to hug Saint. I loved how Silas was with everyone and I was really sad when this book was over. I highly recommend it!
I absolutely love this story. The pace, the writing and the characters are exactly right. This is the perfect omegaverse story of a pack coming together. I love the alphas, Graham was my favorite... If you're looking for something low angst, lots spice, this is perfect. Can't wait for cammie's story!
