When a prophet challenges the beliefs of the world by saying only Aivan, the One Truth, is the only true God, she finds herself desperate to separate what is genuine from manmade falsehoods.

In the low valleys of the southern nation, Rolf Larsen has two lives. One lived in public following the gods of vihishki, as required by law, and the other lived in private following the One Truth. When Aivan directs him outside of his small village, Rolf follows. He quickly learns that the world will never make seeking and speaking truth easy.
