No Good Deed

Rate this book
It’s Christmas in North London. As the protracted festive season finally draws to a close, Richard Lennon is beginning to harbour uncomfortable doubts about his daughter, Ellen. The teenager has reluctantly agreed to feed the neighbours’ cats while their owners are away, but things aren’t going according to plan…

A darkly comic tale of fatherhood, fate and fridge-freezers, No Good Deed illustrates the many ways in which ‘doing the right thing’ can turn into doing entirely the wrong thing.

Radio producer and journalist, Olivia Seligman worked at the BBC for over thirty years, producing programmes such as Today, Start the Week and Desert Island Discs. She devised many other Radio 4 programmes, including Bookclub, and In Our Time with Melvyn Bragg. She has three children and a grandson, and lives with her lawyer husband in North London. She also has a cat…..and a cat-sitter.

The cover is from an original painting by Lincoln Seligman, noted artist and brother of the author

Confusing

I'm not entirely sure what I just read. Not bad but not amazing either... I guess I was expecting more. I'm not sure who killed the cat or if the cat just died.
