I am only giving it two stars because I was starting to really enjoy this story, the set up of this world was interesting and the characters were likeable and as soon as it was starting to get interesting it just ends. I hate books where the author just stops and in order to find out what happens you have to read the next one. Well that's not going to happen, especially as it seems the next one is about Jacob's sister.
The book is alright but three bad things happened. Cliffhangers are bad and this is a strange one. I don't know enough back story about any of the characters so know their motive for anything. I don't know enough about the characters to give a crap about them yet.
