A lot of repetition and super predictable
They story plays out how you would think. The author kind of give it away in the first 10% when she starts their first conversation with how they couldn’t have a personal or romantic relationship cause she could loose her license. They lo and behold that’s what happens. In the mean time the MCs converse like toddlers. 1-5 word sentences and the repeat each other in almost every conversation. I felt kinda dumb reading this one cause it was so simple.
The book is bland and unfortunately insta love. The FMC makes it a point to tell the MMC they can’t have a relationship outside of their professional one. By session two she is attracted, by session 3 she is stepping into his space, by session six they are boinking. Mind you he had sessions twice a week. So she basically sabotages her career in about three weeks time.
I could’ve DNF’d by the 75% mark but I push thru. The spice does not save it either. Every spice scene is almost exactly the same. They do the same things and say the same stuff almost in the same order.
If someone wants a simple read that require minimal brain processing on comprehension? They might enjoy this book. I did not.
