I genuinely don’t have enough stars or plaudits to do justice for this incredible series ~ The Dark series is exactly that, it’s dark at times but more importantly it’s story of survival, love & sheer determination that makes us stronger.

That family isn’t always the blood that runs through our veins but belongs to those that walk alongside us. The ones who have lived through our grief, trauma & chooses to live in our lives.

I also loved how Penny made a cameo at the end of this series (No spoilers !)
I’m so excited to be of of those people who queue around the corner at HEA book fest next year to meet her & discuss all things Dark 🖤

🌹 Final Thoughts: 

What a way to end The Dark Series. This story wrecked me (in the best way). It pulled me through so many emotions that I honestly felt like I needed therapy afterward (again in the best way). I was on edge from the action, swooning over the love between the characters, blushing at the spicy scenes, and crying over the heartbreak in their stories. It gave me everything. 

I adored every main character, and their unhinged ways only made me fall for them more with each chapter. Their banter had me chuckling to myself, and the way this found family shows up for one another is something else. I also loved watching them discover who they truly are, grow stronger, and learn how to love and be loved. Some of the tender, heart‑warming moments hit so deeply they left my chest aching. This saying there are a lot of dark topics in this books so please check your trigger warnings. 


The book is dark, sexy and full of redemption. I'm so grateful I got to read the ARC and will really really miss this series and the characters I've grown to love.

Claiming Sabine Part Two – WOW, is this series really over? I have loved every part of it, and it's really hard to pick a favourite. But if I REALLY had to, then Claiming Sabine Parts One and Two would be it!

It starts with Mark showing that he would go to any lengths for his woman. He would literally burn the world down for her if he had to (although I think they're all VERY capable of that). It ends with the whole group proving that they are truly family no matter what. Their love for each other is undeniable.

I've also been Team Marc from the beginning, so how could this NOT be my favourite?

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC again, so thank you for that.

Without giving away too much, I got what I felt was missing in Part One regarding Lara and her therapy, so I think I may have been a little impatient there.

I love strong women in books, and this series never disappoints. Every woman is strong in her own way, and they all support each other no matter what. Honestly, I want in on their little group!

Part Two was non-stop. That last third of the book had me completely hooked—I couldn't put it down. You almost had me there, Penny... IYKYK. But I'm glad that didn't happen!

And poor Derek. His heart was ripped out, and I could feel his pain screaming from the pages. It felt so raw and real.

The spice definitely didn't disappoint either. This time we're introduced to the pink room, and that's all I'm saying about that scene because you HAVE to read it for yourself!

That ending, though? Perfection. It gave us everything we needed—and everything they needed—after all they had been through. And that cameo? I was NOT expecting that. Absolutely loved it!

LUCKY ARC GIRLIE AGAIN 🖤 safe to say with how part one ended I was picking up part two IMMEDIATELY, who cares what the time is??? Part one was just the beginning with the romance, part two gave us A SHOW and who isn’t at the window of the pink room wanting to peek in??? The character development in this final piece was everything and it was for everyone, every single one of them had their time and their story and it was just special, I was rooting for Aria always 🖤 We love strong men but what we love more is strong women and the women really were standout in our final part of the dark series, I just love them so much and I’m so invested, I want in on the girl gang!!! Always there for each other, always really being the ones to save the day, power to the women, because without a strong woman a man is nothing! And I think other dark romances miss that!

I just loved this book, it started in chaos showing Mark would go to any lengths for his woman, and it ended in chaos showing the whole gang would go to any length to save each other - their love for one another truly had me in tears and no spoilers but in a few places I was really in tears!!!

But this ending was everything us darklings needed it to be and I can’t wait to see what Penny does next🖤

The most perfect ending to this series. This book had everything; love, compassion, patience, sacrifice, pain, healing, tear-jerking scenes, gut wrenching suspense, perfect closure.

I cried more in this book then I probably ever had with a book, I felt I had such a deep connection with each of the characters due to reading the whole series. This book was EVERYTHING I needed it to be and so much more.

It had me sobbing my heart out at parts, and then laughing so much I nearly peed myself at other parts. I loved the connections between the characters and the aspect of "found family", as well the loyalty and love that they all share.

I'm really gutted that this series is over, because I have genuinely loved every second of these books. This book (part 1 and 2) covered everything it needed to, and gave me the closure I needed for it to feel complete.

I have left this review basic because I don't want to spoil it for anyone by putting up spoilers, but honestly in my 2 years of reading, this is the best series I've ever read. It will forever be a comfort series for me, I'm already starting a re-read of the whole series with a friend, and I've just finished this book last night.

I can't wait to see what Penny brings out next 🖤

Honestly, this entire series has been absolute FIRE from start to finish🔥🔥🔥 Every book had me completely hooked with its fast-paced plot, emotional moments, and twists that kept me turning the pages.

This final book was everything I hoped it would be and more. The love between the FMC and MMC was so beautiful, and the found family and protective elements just hit differently🥹 Those relationships felt so genuine and made me feel like I was part of their journey every step of the way.

The writing throughout this series has been absolutely stunning, bringing every character and emotion to life in a way that stayed with me long after I finished reading. And can we take a moment to appreciate these covers?! 😍 They are going to look incredible on my shelf alongside the rest of the series.

Penny, thank you for creating a story and characters that I will never forget. This series became something I never knew I needed, and saying goodbye is not easy. I will never stop recommending this masterpiece❤️📚🔥

What a rollercoaster of emotions this book gave me.
If you haven’t read the dark series by @Penny the Author then you really need too!

The raw realness in these books is astounding and how penny touches on subjects and matters that really do happen in the real world and no one wants to talk about,this is done so tastefully but emotionally it tears at your heart.
I fell in love with every single character and rooted for them all..except a couple but order is restored 👀🤣

The ending was so beautifully done and wrapped up the series in the best way possible but also left it open for if I bug penny enough to never let this series end 😏🤣

This book was the perfect ending to the series. The amount of healing that all the charictors go through and figuring out that they are no longer alone was amazing. The ending was so well done and fits perfectly into the series. This book isn't about how dark it can be but how much they have all healed and it felt right that they get that.
Although I felt like the ending was well done I did however feel like there was a few places that had been a bit rushed and glossed over due to the nature of the event. It was deffinatly not as unappologetically dark as the first book and I feel like it gets lighter as the books progress. It does have dark themes through the bok and mmets these but like I said some feel glossed over and rushed.

I cannot believe this series is really over! I wasn’t ready 😭💔

This was the most perfect way to wrap up the entire Dark Series!
Penny had me hooked from the very first page of Awakening Elaina and I feel bereft that this series is over.

This read has everything - love, pain, healing, sacrifice, suspense and finally some closure with the perfect ending.

I loved the intertwining of the characters from the previous books and the found family aspect, we know from this series, is still present. The story flows from the previous books effortlessly.

The relationships made in this story between Sabine and the other women is so heartwarming! They welcomed her into their lives and helped her overcome trauma, the bonds between Sabine and Aria especially - Aria teaching Sabine self-defence in order for her to feel strong, powerful and empowered.

I will always carry this series with me and thank you Penny for giving us The Dark Series and these characters I have come to love dearly and for allowing me to ARC read these and be a part of your wonderful team 🖤

Love love love!!!!!! I could not put these books down! Penny did it again! Mark and Sabine definitely need two books, as it didn’t just capture those 2, it keeps you updated on the other characters from the whole series. Mark deffo comes into his own, the watcher, we definitely see Mark come alive. I can’t spoil it too much but there’s a part that had me shooketh, crying, gasping! She ends the series brilliantly! I feel so so lucky to have read an ARC of this book and wow wow wow, it was incredible! I think this one might be my favourite in the series! The action, tension, the spice (oh my days!) and finding out the ending of the story for the characters we have grown to love. Now this part made me cry, laugh, cry again, get extremely angry and then laugh again

I may have got very creative with a way I wanted a certain character to go away… it may or may not have involved 1 million toothpicks

But oh my the spicy scenes get very spicy in part two, and I love how penny wraps up all of the characters at the end of this book, it felt like the perfect way to end this amazing series

This is the final book in the Dark Series and also part 2 of Sabine and Mark's story.
Mark really shows up for Sabine with all the green flags. He burns the world down for her and his support in her growth is everything.
This book is nonstop twists and turns and makes your heart hurt and heal.
We get to see the conclusions and stories wrapped up. I personally loved to see how Lara and Derek play out.
I will always recommend this series to all my fellow dark romance readers.
PS... the cameo at the end made my big dark heart so happy! 😭
