Hexed in Storyville is the first title in the Spellbound in Storyville series. Everything you could possibly want to know before picking up Wren and Beckett’s story can be found in the Cover Blurb. KC Wilde has quickly become one of my go-to paranormal romance authors. She writes sweet and steamy (yes, you can get both in one story) romances with believable (for the genre) characters facing challenges… mostly discovering that they are bound in ways they never saw coming. I’m excited to begin a brand new series.
I enjoyed Hexed in Storyville very much. There is a bit of world-building, there has to be for a new series, but it wasn’t the least bit overpowering, only serving to understand the town of Storyville a bit better. Wren and Beckett are intriguing characters, and I appreciated having both of their points of view. It helps me tremendously to know what’s going on in the mind of both romantic partners to understand why they are doing, well, what they’re doing in the story. Wren is a strong woman who isn’t afraid to stand her ground when she knows she’s right. Beckett is the kind of hero I enjoy most, a man who, when he’s wrong, says he’s wrong and acts accordingly. Their connection is strong, and watching their romance unfold along with the mysterious happenings in town was an enjoyable reading experience.
Their story is well-written, emotional, and steamy with an underlying mystery to solve as their town changes from what they knew to what it is destined to become. I am definitely looking forward to more visits to Storyville. If that sounds like your kind of Paranormal/Shifter Romance with a touch of mystery, then you’d enjoy Hexed in Storyville.

I love the concept of this sweet story that wolf shifters and witches must work together to release the magic in a small town before Storyville exposes magic to humans.
I had not previously read any of this author’s work, but I am definitely a fan now. The setting is described in perfect detail that I can visualize it in my mind’s eye. The banter between the characters make them relatable and pulls the reader in to learn the outcome of the story.
This story is shared in dual point of view and I enjoyed the perspective of each main character’s thoughts to better understand them. Wren, our heroine demonstrates the traits of a strong and independent woman. I especially liked when she called Beckett out on his comments “You do not get to call me necessary only after you have already made me smaller.” I was cheering for her in my head. To Beckett’s credit he understood his error in blaming her and the witches side for the emotional currents under the town and was appropriately contrite.
I have always enjoyed paranormal romance and the concept of a bond between fated mates and I think this author’s description of the bond strengthening as Wren and Beckett grew closer is fabulous.
I recommend this book for fans of romantic suspense and paranormal romance and am looking forward to the rest of this series.

KC Wilde's Hexed in Storyville: Witches, Warlocks and Wolves, a Romantic Mystery, is a captivating start to the Spellbound in Storyville series. I found the entire story thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The author expertly weaves themes of family, community, and romance into a paranormal setting, making the narrative a delightful experience.
Protagonists Wren and Beckett may be opposites, but their combined resolve and growing friendship allow them to make a meaningful difference for themselves and their town. Their path is paved with magic, suspense, and romance.
The use of dual perspectives provides deep insight into both characters; Wren is a resilient heroine who holds her ground, while Beckett eventually realises he was wrong to hold the witches responsible for the town's emotional atmosphere.
The portrayal of their fated mates' bond was particularly impressive to me as a fan of the genre. I highly suggest this book to anyone who loves paranormal romantic suspense, and I am eager to read future entries in the series.

I had so much fun visiting Stiryville (and can't wait to go back)! This magical little town exists precariously balanced between two factions magical abilities. The Wolf Shifters manage the hard/physical existence, while the Witches take care of the softer components (emotions, feelings, etc). Beckett I'd Alpha of his pack, and a direct decendant of Gideon, the shifter who made the origional Pact. Likewise, Wren is a descendant of the witch who initiated the agreement. I loved the tension that flaired between these two (and so did the others "in the know"). That tension, however, had to take a back seat when the town started going haywire. Could they learn to trust eachother and work together to bring things back under control?

Hexed in Storyville: Witches, Warlocks and Wolves, a Romantic Mystery is an engaging book 1 of a new series, Spellbound in Storyville, by KC Wilde. I loved it from beginning to end. This author has a way of bringing community, family, and romance into the paranormal world that makes this and each read a true joy. The featured characters of Wren and Beckett are opposites in most things, but when they find their connection, their friendship, and their joint determination, they are able to have a positive impact on the community, friends, and for themselves. Their journey is filled with intrigue, romance, and magic at its best. Highly recommended.

I am hooked. This book begins with Lenora Holloway and Gideon Hale in 1873 and what happen to the town of Storyville. In current day, we have Wren Holloway and Beckett Hale. The chemistry between those two is hot and everyone around them knows it. The town is acting up and showing humans things they sould not see. So Wren from the witch line and Beckett from the wolf line need to get the town back to it's balance, but they need a third. Who will that be? How will they find out who it is? Each has a story with history attached but it is not working. Keep writing KC I love these.

The town of Storyville is trying to find its centre, the magic has gone wild and trying to get the attention of the town’s protectors. This story has humour and is told in a dual narrative. The territory side and the magic side. A good start to the series.

Wren and Beckett make an art of not wanting to accept what their town has in mind for them. The tension is delicious, the banter quick and sharp, and the mystery thoroughly engaging. I love the characters of Storyville with their vivid personalities.

I thought this story was a riot. Had me laughing as a witch and a wolf end up dealing with each other as they try to figure out what is going on and causing trouble in their town. Made me laugh at times as I enjoyed the story and characters. Plus trying to guess what is going on.
