Heartwarming and a wonderful way to connect with your deeper self (and a little supernatural touch). This is the second book in the Pono trilogy, and it continues Noelani and Rodrigo's journey together as they navigate the ups and downs of impending nuptials, family members wanting to interject, nervousness about the journey ahead, and some new friends to help.
Noelani is trying to manage her perimenopause, friendships that feel like they're drifting away, and huge new life changes, all while coping with her revelations about her mano-self we learned in book 1. It was a dramatic ride, and the emotions were all along for the ride.
My favorite new character was Nakoa. I loved his wisdom and calm energy; it jumped right off the page.
I can't wait to see what new adventures and emotional depths we get to read about in the third book.
