Summary (from Goodreads):

Aislin Ferry and Jason Moros have only days until they will be called to account before the Keepers of the Afterlife. Yet as they race to restore order and make their case, their worlds fall into total disarray.

Mutiny within the fractured Ferry family threatens Aislin’s hold on power and role as Charon. Meanwhile, the fearsome Lord of the Kere has family trouble of his own. Someone is unraveling the fabric of fate, and Moros suspects one of his supernatural siblings is behind the terrible bid to unleash Chaos.

Now unlikely allies, Aislin and Moros each need the other to escape the wrath of the Keepers. As the stakes rise, it becomes clear that protecting their respective empires is not the endgame. With the fate of all humanity dangling by a thread, Aislin and Moros must surrender completely to one another if they are to fight their common enemy. And as time runs out, someone must make the ultimate sacrifice.

What I Liked:

What is this, my NINTH Sarah Fine novel read? Nine of ten published (although technically this book is not yet published). I haven't read Burn, but I've read all of her other published novels. Sarah Fine has yet to let me down! I read Marked in June, Claimed in July, and Fated in August! Each book has been my Pili-Pushed book for each month, so this one is August's Pili-Pushed novel!

Aislinn Ferry has quite the mess to clean up - and figure out. As the new Charon, she is struggling to hold her power and keep the other Ferrys from overthrowing her. She and Jason Moros will be meeting with the Keepers of the Afterlife about the current situation. Rogue Kere, creatures they've never encountered, the reappearance of Rylan Ferry... there is a lot going on, and a lot that Aislinn and Moros don't know. Moros and Aislinn fight protect the Ferrys, the Kere, and the world, from a fate worse than death,

Best. Book. Of. The. Series. Quite possibly Sarah's best book. Of Dreams and Rust was really, really good, and it's probably my favorite YA book of hers. Fated is my favorite adult one of Sarah's. That seems fair. This book broke my heart several times, but in the best, most painful, but best way! Not like Firewalker by Josephine Angelini (which I recently reviewed, hence the comparison).

I'll start with Aislinn. I have to be honest, I wasn't her biggest fan in Marked or Claimed. I didn't hate her, but I didn't immediately like her. She wasn't the nicest to Cacy or Galena or Eli, so I wasn't sure I would like her in Fated. However, getting to read her perspective of things was so helpful. She can be seen as cold, but it makes sense, given the pressure of being Charon, saving the world, etc. I really like Aislinn! She can compartmentalize like a pro, and she is intelligent and prepared for everything, even when she's not. If that makes sense.

Jason Moros! Thousands of years old, yet his Kere (and the world) are slipping through his fingertips, and everyone wants to blame him. I love this guy! He is a bit flirtatious, condescending, hilarious, determined, brave, and fair. Everyone wants to misjudge him and throw the blame on him, but he is a good guy, trapped in a scheme like everyone else.

Aislinn and Moros tentatively decide to work together, and it is a good thing that they do. Aislinn finds herself in incredible danger, in the hands of people that Moros knows well. Moros finds that he cannot help but try to protect Aislinn - something in him needs her to be okay. The two of them are drawn to each other without realizing it, and when realizing. They have good instincts for sensing things, which includes each other.

Which leads me to the romance. While I thought Eli and Cacy would be my favorite pair... I don't know. I think Moros and Aislinn are my favorite pair! I LOVE their interactions, alone or otherwise. They have chemistry from the start, and it's not long before it seems to have turned into something deeper, a deeper connection. Keep in mind, Moros and Aislinn have known each other for years, and have been... interested in each other for years. Maybe not intimately, but they've always intrigued each other. Very different from Eli and Cacy, who meet each other in the beginning of Marked.

The romance is slow-burn and carefully developed, yet red-hot and sizzling at times. I think it's the perfect amount of chemistry, "chase"/anticipation, and intimate scenes, coupled with a high-stakes, high action plot. The romance and chemistry delivers, as readers will find it easy to fall in love with Aislinn and Moros (especially Moros), and root for them until the end.

The plot is quite the roller-coaster! Moros and Aislinn never, ever catch a break. There was one point in the book when I had to put the book down, because there was something sad happening. Sarah Fine knows exactly how to break my heart yet keep me coming back. No matter how heartbreaking one scene was, the next one would have my heart racing. Seriously though, if you ever reach a point in the book where you're like no, this is too much - keep going! The plot is very fast-paced, but not overwhelmingly so. More so in a way in which you can't stop reading, the pages won't flip fast enough!

Speaking of overwhelming... that ending though. It totally came at me like a ton of bricks. Or a ton of cake. Cake is nicer than bricks. I totally saw one part of the end coming! The ending is soooo not what I expected specifically, but I couldn't see it any other way. Sarah Fine totally blindsided me with who was behind the corruption of the Kere and Rylan Ferry and whatnot! Great job! The ending was overwhelming in a book hangover kind of way - a very satisfying ending, not bittersweet! Trust me, you will love the ending, regardless of what type of ending you prefer!

What I Did Not Like:

I can't think of many dislikes! Perhaps I should mention that one rough spot I hit and had to put the book down for about twenty minutes - but then I picked it right back up. It was about a third in, so just be warned that while you might struggle with this part, like I did, keep going! It got better, and quickly.

Would I Recommend It:

I would recommend this book, especially out of all the Servants of Fate books! Not that I don't recommend Marked or Claimed. But I really, REALLY recommend this one. Adult romance readers, urban fantasy readers, Sarah Fine readers, anyone looking for a fun, heart-pounding, sexy read... this is a good one!

Rating:

5 stars. A rare five stars from me! Though I think I've rated two romance novels with a five-star rating in the past month or so! That's a lot for me. But this one (and When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare) is a really great one! Sarah Fine never lets me down. When is her next adult romance novel scheduled to be published?! I need more!

Even though I have loved this series from the very first book, it is this book, this last chapter, that I have been eagerly awaiting the most.

After all, how could I resist finally getting to look inside the very mind of the infamous Moros?

Quite simply put, I couldn't.

Ms. Fine has always been known for her amazing writing abilities. For the unique, and often times dark, worlds that she creates but she truly came up with something so original, unworldly, and fascinating with this series. Something that stands out in a genre where the same is common place.

I can say without a doubt, that this was my favorite of the series. I adored Aislin and Moros so much in this story, and believe me, I never thought I would say that I liked Aislin. She has never been my favorite character but once again, Ms. Fine showed how incredible her writing skills by completely making me change my opinion of someone I never thought I would care about and making me completely invested in her happily ever after.

This is such an amazing fantasy series woven with mythology, romance, danger, and so much more. I truly have had an amazing time with it and I'm so sad that it is over but I couldn't be happier with the way it all came together and ended.

I look forward to whatever Fine comes out with next because I know it will be something spectacular and fun and something I won't want to miss.

Writing the review for this book is truly a bittersweet experience. I've loved these characters so much, so the fact that Fated is the final book in the Servants of Fate trilogy is hard on me. With this series, Sarah Fine has created characters that touch your heart, a world that is scary but rich and complex, and romances that will leave you envious but at the same time leave you believing that love really is a powerful force.

I've loved all the couples in the series, but shh! Don't tell anyone, but Aislin and Moros are my favorites. Reading about them through the POVs of the other characters and reading through their POVs were vastly different experiences for me. Both of them always had this tough, no bullshit vibe to them, which made them really hard to gauge, but at the same time made them all the more alluring. In Fated, they were both still smart, strong and tough as nails characters, but we also got to peek at their more vulnerable sides. I didn't think it was possible to love them more, but Sarah Fine made that happen.

Aislin, especially, was wonderful. Fated shed light to her more caring, loving and loyal side. I felt for her as she struggled to fight for her family and their safety. Everything she did was to protect them and it was hard not to admire and root for her. Even as Aislin learned about her bleak future, she continued to do everything she possibly could in order to make the world a better place for her siblings, even when the stakes could have led to her demise. Moros too was a fascinating character and watching what a great guy he was on the inside made me fall even harder for him. Despite seeming like this rough and badass guy on the outside who didn't care for anything or anyone, he was a loving and devoted man, especially to Aislin and to his Keres. Moros came face to face with his siblings in this book and had to make some painful decisions. I was glad that he had Aislin as his equal to help him through it all.

Their romance was my favorite romance in this series. It's slow, sensuous, filled with tenderness and jammed with hot chemistry that threatened to set the pages on fire whenever they were together. For me, it wasn't the incendiary chemistry that they shared that was the best part -it was how they regarded each other as equals. I loved that Aislin and Moros trusted each other and at the same time, did not think that the other needed to be saved constantly. They let each other go into the face of danger, but were still willing to help out should anything ever happen to either of them. This is my favorite kind of romance. There's nothing more realistic and romantic than a couple working together as a team to take down the evil.

The plot in Fated was exciting, nerve-wracking and culminated in a satisfying final battle. The events of the previous book, Claimed, clarified what was going on and in Fated, Aislin and Moros had to battle not to bring forth evil into the dystopian Boston. It wasn't the easiest task, with Aislin and Moros falling to their knees at times. The book kept me at the edge of my seat because I was nervous about how the plot would unravel. I thought it was executed well and the ending was rewarding in every way. I could not have hoped for a better ending for these characters.

Sarah Fine is an excellent author and every book she writes is better than the previous one, for me. The Servants of Fate trilogy is one of my favorite UF series of all-time. As a conclusion, Fated was brilliant and everyone who hasn't read this book yet should get on it as soon as possible.

3.5 stars

This review is posted on Way Too Hot Books.

"What am I to call you now? Lord? Mr. Kere?" He grinned.
"How about 'the agonizing death you won't see coming until it's too late'?"Moros suggested.

I had this arc for a while, but to be honest I kept delaying reading it, because in this installment we finally get the story of the most intriguing Servants of Fate character- the infamous Lord of the Kere a.k.a Jason Moros who has been my favorite character since the very first book- Marked (SoF, #1) and considering my mixed feelings about the previous installment - Claimed (SoF, #2), I was afraid that the author might blow it.

Now, after I had finished reading it, I'm happy to say that the author delivered an engaging, action-packed, dark, suspenseful, emotional and hot story for the most part. In fact, I would dare to say that this is the best installment of the series fo far, especially the 2nd half of the book. I did have some "issues" as always when it comes to the series, but all in all I was pleased with the out-come.

Unlike Dec and Galena from the previous book who seemed to me as quite one-dimensional characters, Moros was just the opposite- witty, intimidating and a provocative bad-ass hero who kept me entertained as usual, even though in this book we get to see more the man behind the cold and calculating front he puts up for everyone. He had definitely found a worthy match in Aislin The Charon. The up-tight, diplomatic and serious Charon turned out to be more than meets the eye- caring, more open-minded and showing some serious bad-ass fighting skills. Their chemistry was scorching and there's this one shower scene I wouldn't mind reading all over again.

The parts I wish the author had done a bit differently:

~ I wish she had made Moros' character a bit more edgier instead of humanizing him so much. This is a genre that allows that freedom the most imo and that's why I love it.
~ Some parts of the world-building are still a bit confusing to me, like Moros' family and their roles etc.
~ I felt that some parts of the story weren't given enough attention and the other way around.
~ And it also wouldn't have hurt the story if it had had some kind of 3-4 pages long epilogue.

All in all, I would give the 1st half of the story 3 stars, but the 2nd half 4 unputdownable stars, so I'll settle for 3.5 stars for the whole book. I wonder whose book is next? Hm, maybe Trevor's? I guess, we'll find out soon enough.

"And now . . . a life for a life."

Holy Crucial Moment, Batman!

Crazy killer zombie like creatures, explosions, kidnappings, betrayal, sneak attacks, street brawls, battles, epic face-offs, and explosions (yes, I know I said that twice)! This story is nonstop action. At about the 60% mark I was beginning to wonder if there could be a resolution. And if it was going to be rushed. I should have had more confidence. The ending was spectacular. I was torn between needing to pause to process the emotions while desperate to know what happens next.

Finally the Ferrys and the Keres unite to battle the true enemy of Fate, and prevent Chaos from waking. But would you fight to protect Fate, if Fate determined you would die in the process? For Aislen Ferry there is only one choice, save the world for her family. She knows you can't fight a war without trust. And the only way Jason Moros will ever trust her is if he can know without a doubt that she will never betray him. But when he touches her to see her future, neither one expected the blankness. Aislen Ferry was fated to die.

She was in the arms of death himself, and she'd never felt more alive.

Aislen and Jason fight side by side to unite the Ferrys and Keres against the enemies of Fate. They seek the only weapon Jason can use to defeat Chaos. They, as the ambassadors of Death, defend Life while asking for supplies. They battle wits against The Keepers. They each do everything within their power, or with their right to ask, to save the other and the world.

"I was so determined to save you, but you saved me instead. You saved us all."

In this dramatic conclusion to the Servants of Fate trilogy, we learn that Fate may be Fate, but it does not necessarily mean a happy ending.

This has been lingering on my to-read shelf for much too long. I really liked the first book of the series. As I didn't get the second book, I had this one here in a holding pattern.

The first 20% of the book were simultainiously a bit boring and quite a bit confusing, probably because I skipped the second book. Not a good choice as a stand-alone, and definitely not without having read the first book. The world building is not as good as in the first book, not many explanations are forthcoming.

Moros sounds sexy and Ainslin like Barbie in a business suit. Soft, emotional woman and tall-dark-and-mysterious. Ainslin eventually becomes more kick-ass, although the action scenes felt a bit flat.

At around 40% I was really missing the scenery of the post-apocalyptic Boston of the first book. It had elevated the book above the ususal PNR fare. The characters as well could have done with more depth and development.

The PNR elements felt fairly silly at times, but that might be more due to me not really being a fan of the genre. I did some eye-rolling.

In the second half of the book I did some skimming, as the plot didn't really hold my interest. The development of our MCs' relationship was meandering along without much tension as well. So I was a little bored.

Towards the ending the story picked up again. I did like how it all turned out and wouldn't mind reading more about Moros and Ainslin.

Bottom line, some good ideas, some likeabel characters, stretches that bored me a little and I could have done with a more elaborate plot and more character development. I would have liked more complex world building. Many of the characters and their emotional state felt a bit one-dimensional. Not bad, not great, I would probably pick up another book or recommend it to fans of PNR. I am not rushing to the next bookstore just yet.

What a fun, refreshing, and sexy series! All three books had my heart racing... for multiple reasons. I don't think I've read anything with such a seamless mixture of genres - from romance to Greek mythology to paranormal to dystopia. I was so eager to see how this series would play out, and Sarah Fine doesn't disappoint with her conclusion. I was especially pleased that she paired Aislin and Moros together; they make such an amazing team, and I was swooning hard for that man!

I definitely recommend picking up this unique PNR series!

4.5 stars - A conspiracy threatens the fabric of fate and adversaries must become allies if there is any hope of saving the world from the chaos that would follow.

I have really enjoyed the Servant of Fate series, with romance set against the myth based foundation of a post apocalyptic world that has the Fates, the Kere who mark souls for death and the Ferrys who shuttle souls to the afterlife - the first book was good, the second pretty good, but this third book is the best.

I loved the leads Aislin, the ice queen leader of the Ferrys - and Moros - the mysterious leader of the Kere - both separately and together. They have had this 'pull' even in their supporting roles in the previous books and their story here capitalizes on all that build up.

Fated wraps up the series in a great way with a climactic finish to the background arc and a good romance with love scenes that are steamy because of the emotions and not the mechanics. I am sorry to see it end, but I will be keeping an eye out for more by the author Sarah Fine.

Fated gets us up-close and personal with Jason Moros the incarnate of Death, as he tries to stop the very fabric of fate from unraveling. Eris, Apate and Nemesis who represent hate, lies and jealousy are conspiring to overthrow fate and raise Chaos. Souls are being reaped without authorization causing the very fabric of life to unravel. Moros joins forces with Aislin Ferry, the leader of the Ferry clan. Fine lead us on an action packed, nail-biting tale as they try to stop his siblings.

Throughout the trilogy, we learned about both Aislin and Moros making them favorites, but getting inside their heads and seeing them interact was a treat. Moros is confident and cocky on the outside. He has this bad ass persona that screams don’t f@ck with me, but when he look beneath the surface you find this loyal, loving softy. Aislin is strong, but worries about appearances and carries the burden of protecting her clan. Separately they are a strong but united they are a force to be reckoned with.

The romance was sensual and powerful making it my favorite of the series. The chemistry and banter were delightful but the high regard they held for each other is what made this romance so special. So many times the alpha tries to protect and save, but in this, they trusted each other, and admired each other knowing each could hold their own in the battle. Tender moments, and danger had me tearing up, wringing my hands, and listening with bated breath. I appreciated how deeply Fine let us get to know these characters as she peeled back the layers of their careful honed facades giving me all the feels.

The plot was intense and at times downright nerve-wracking as Fine moved towards the climatic ending. Fine had me on edge the entire time and constantly reaching for truffles. Forget predictable because as scenes unravel I found myself holding my breath and thinking “we all gonna die.” The ending for Fated was strong and felt true leaving me satisfied.

Emily Foster narrated the series and I enjoyed her depiction of the characters. She captured their emotions and each voice felt unique. This review was originally posted on Caffeinated Book Reviewer

I believe, like a lot of reviewers, that this is the best of three books in the Servants of Fate Series. The action is non-stop and everything that I was confused about from the first two books really came together for me in this final book. I was apprehensive about reading this because I didn’t think I would like Aislin as a heroine, but she is amazing, actually. She blew me away. Moros or Jason (yeah, he has a first name) was quite surprising too.

The world that Sarah Fine has created in this series is intriguing and fantastically thought out. And while, I didn't find it as compelling as the Guards of the Shadowlands series, I did find myself liking it more in this book.

Sex Factor: Yes there is sex, explicit and actually kind of hot.

The struggle for control of souls destined for the afterlife continues in this final book in the series. Now there are Shade-Kere's capable of marking and killing people and they seem to be organized. Aislin and Jason Moros (aka Death) try to figure out which of Jason's siblings are responsible and stop them before the fabric of fate is destroyed completely allowing Chaos to rise. They also might have a long-standing attraction to one another that finally comes to the surface.

All in all, this was a decent series. It's funny, I don't think it is even close to as good as the Reliquary series, and that's the one that Sarah Fine abandoned halfway through. I was so upset that she left it incomplete, I swore off her books for a while. (Yes, it seems I am still holding a bit of a grudge.) I'm not sure this series has convinced me to try her others. It is convenient that they are available on KU and have audios - I think that is driving my decision more than anything else.

Another series where I was attracted by the premise – I really enjoyed the first book, but found the second one distasteful, and this final installment has pretty much devolved into the typical UF/paranormal tropes.

The male characters are all carbon copies of each other – he-man, I must have her and protect at all costs types, and honestly, I’ve had about enough of these types of dudes. All in all, I found Fated incredibly cheesy – if you like paranormal romance, then you’ll probably enjoy this series, but there’s nothing particularly new here in terms of characterization.

I do think the world the author created was quite original and had a lot of potential – in fact, I was more interested in the background than I was in the romance and the main characters.

Five stars: A must read, romantic and amazing finish to an outstanding trilogy!

Jason Moros visits his three sisters, The Fates, one more time. The fabric of fate is unraveling. Someone is reaping souls without authorization, causing the Fate of the world to falter. Moros is the only one who has a chance of restoring order, and to do that he must track down the Sword of Life and destroy his siblings, Eris, Nemisis and Apate, who are the personification of hate, jealousy and lies. The three of them are conspiring to overthrow fate and order, raise Chaos and end the way things are on Earth. As Moros desperately looks to save the world, he finds an ally in Aislin Ferry. Together, they must destroy Chaos and Moros siblings. Can they save the world?
What I Liked:
*Another brilliant book by the amazing Sarah Fine. If you have yet to read Ms. Fine, how many times to have to tell you to pick up one of her books? This lady has some mad writing skills, and she never fails to impress me with her thrilling and engaging stories, awesome characters and exceptional world building, not to mention the most breathtaking and pure romances. Fated is absolutely outstanding. One of her best books today. A fitting ending to a an exceptional series. Loved this one!
*At the heart of this story are Jason Moros and Aislin Ferry. Two characters that haven't been portrayed in the most positive light in the previous two books. Moros is the incarnate of Death. He is the one who controls the Kere, those who mark souls for death. Moros is fearsome and deadly, his touch can drive one to madness as they see their future. Aislin Ferry is the proud, beautiful, competent and cold leader of the Ferry clan. She is driven and does what it takes to get things done. She is an ice queen. In this book, the layers and layers are peeled back, and we get to dig deep and see what drives these characters as all their fears and weaknesses are exposed. I liked seeing these characters stripped bare, I loved the depth and complexity of both Moros and Aislin, and I loved them fiercely as I got to know them better, especially when I saw how dedicated and committed they were to their goal and one another. I never thought I would love them more than any of the other characters, but I did!
*This novel is packed full of action and danger. You can scarcely catch your breath between scenes. The fate of the world is hanging in the balance, and with each page, there are new attacks, more deaths and impending doom. It is a thrill ride! This is a fast paced book that won't let you go until the final pages. Set aside some time for this one It is a page turner.
*The world building is exceptional. Ms. Fine manages to completely refashion Greek Mythology. Her tale centers around the three Fates and what would happen if the cloth of Fate were destroyed. I loved her version of these well worn mythological stories. If you are a fan of mythology, and you like creative and original retellings, this is one you need to read.
*The romance..... I don't even know where to begin. I already know that Ms. Fine writes the most amazing, emotional and beautiful romances, and I think she outdid herself this time. In this book, she delivers a romance so pure, beautiful and altruistic it took my breath away. I loved how the two came together, and how they were willing to sacrifice everything for the other. What you end up with is a romance that is pure, heartfelt and unforgettable. I can't tell you how much I loved this romance.
*This thrid installment concludes the Servants of Fate trilogy, and I assure you, it is a fantastic, must read finale. This book delivers. Read the series.
And The Not So Much:
*Even though I liked the way everything played out, I think this book could have benefitted with the inclusion of an epilogue. I would have like more information on what happened to the world after the dust settled, and more about the couples down the line.
*There was one section of the story that got a bit lengthy, and that was one Moros and Aislin visited the Lucinae. It was interesting, but I found that I got a bit bored with this part of the story, not an issue, but I wished that there had been a stronger focus on other parts of the story.
*I was curious about Atropos. Was she completely clueless as to what was going on around her, or did she choose not to participate?
*The whole story line with Galena never finished. It was the main theme of the second book, and it was brought up in this book, but I was left wondering. Did the vaccine ever get made?
I wish that there had been a stronger presence from the two previous couples in the series, I would love to have seen a bit more of Eli and Cacia as well as Declan and Galena.
*I was disappointed that there wasn't more with Rylan. I felt like there was more to his role, and I wanted a better understanding of why he acted the way he did and why he had a bit of a change of heart. What was the deal?

Fated was an exceptional ending to an outstanding series. This book delivers plenty of thrilling action while it completely refashions well worn mythological ideas. At the center is another beautiful and pure romance with deep altruistic roots. I loved this book. I can't recommend this author or series enough. If you have yet to read anything by Sarah Fine, please don't wait, get this series immediately.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this review.

Wow what an ending to this story, the most anticipated couple really made waves.... the plot and story were brilliant. Aislin and Moros break and remake our hearts as they slowly stumble their way together attempting to beat all that threatens them and those they love.... I love the way Greek mythology is weaved into the story along with new fresh ideas definitely my fave book of the bunch and an author i will definitely try out again... Plus audio great

Fated is the third book in the Servants of Fate series by Sarah Fine and if you haven’t read anything by Fine yet, I recommend you fix that soon. You could even start with this series as I thought she did a fantastic job with all three books by combining the urban fantasy pieces with the paranormal and of course…the romance. Book three focuses on Aislin and Moros and not only their relationships with those around them but also how these two people from different sides of fate, find themselves drawn to each other.

Aislin is now Charon of the Ferry family and she has a very tentative hold on the reigns of the family business. Not because she doesn’t know what she doing – she absolutely does – but because there are some on the board that want to lead themselves so they are doing whatever they can to undermine her control. As the story progresses, we find out what is really going on and it ties back to Moros.

Moros has an interesting relationship with his siblings. None of them seem to trust each other and there are a few of them that are doing everything they can to get rid of Moros and release Chaos. As Moros and Aislin determine they will work together to face the Keepers of the Afterlife, they also realize that the only way they can save each other and their empires is to truly trust one another. To do that, Aislin let’s Moros touch her so that he can truly see she won’t betray him. Instead, what he sees is even more disturbing. Sorry…that’s all I’m going to say about that.

Fine did a fantastic job of building out the worlds these characters navigated through. They aren’t only in the Veil and on earth this time. They are in different worlds working to find the things they need to save themselves and what’s important to them and Fine did such a great job of taking me along with Aislin and Moros.

Fine also did a great job of setting up the relationship for these two characters. It was an important part of the story because it also tied back to them trusting in each other but it didn’t take over the overall story. As the story moves forward, not only do we get to see the relationship develop between these two, but we see them work together and ultimately lean on each other to save the world from Chaos. I loved seeing Aislin’s family begin to accept Moros and who he is instead of holding his responsibility against him.

In the end, this was a great addition to the series. I know this review seems pretty sparse but there isn’t much I can say without giving any pieces of the story away. Just know that if you have read the first two books, you should really enjoy this one as well. Fine knows how to develop a great story and adds to it with well-developed characters. The fact that she can write romance really well too is a plus. This is another great addition to the Sarah Fine collection of books and if you like paranormal and urban fantasy, definitely check this series out.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the review copy.

The Servants of Fate books were my first contact with Sarah Fine's books and I couldn't have chosen a better gateway because I've loved them all, and now I want to read all of Sarah's books!

That said, this one has to be my favourite book of the trilogy and an absolutely perfect and brilliant ending for it!

When I finished reading Claimed I suspected and hoped that the final book would be about Jason Moros and Aislin Ferry and when it was confirmed, I was both very happy and intrigued! None of them had seemed easy characters to like or understand in the previous books, even if Moros had a certain charm to him, if he seemed unreliable and dangerous.

But from the first moment we see things from their POVs things quickly change on our perception. Aislin is not the seemly cold and ambitions person we thought on Marked, but someone that is fully dedicated to protecting her family and to do what's necessary to keep humanity safe too. She knows how to handle power and how to hold it and use it, thankfully for the right cause! I loved that she allowed herself to lose control here and there and that her feelings towards her family are showcased so strongly too!

And Jason Moros... oh dear, I have massive crush on the personalization of Death ladies and gents! From his worry about his sisters (the three Fates) to his growing devotion to Aislin and how determined he was to fight Chaos no matter what! I loved how he proved that he was not just worried about keeping himself in business so-to-speak but he had the well being of his Keres very much in mind. And he's ready to fight for what's right even if no one expected him to!

One word of warning, this is a fantastic book, but not an easy one to read sometimes, because there are some tough bits, with Aislin suffering at the hands of Moros' other siblings (Lies, Strife and Vengenace) and with things getting really dire and with very little hope of a HEA, you might need a lil breather now and then while reading, just be sure to persevere!

Not only we are fighting for Aislin to keep the Ferries under control and supporting her for whe she'll have to face the Keepers but we also continue with some fantastic world building by visiting yet another realm that could not be more diffent from what we've seen so far!

I'm having a very hard time trying to review this and not spoil anything (anymore than I could possibly have done already!) but this was such a fantastic book and even if I got a few suspicions on what could happen in the end, I was still surprised that it happened the way it did!

I give up, just... READ THIS! IT WAS BRILLIANT! Very much deserved 4.5 stars to this one!!

I really enjoyed this book. I'd been looking forward to reading Aislin's and Moros's story since finishing book one, and it turned out to be everything I hoped it would be and more. I really loved that their romance was spread out over the whole book.

There was one scene in the story that brought tears to my eyes: At the end of Chapter Four, Aislin and Cacia are talking and each says that she's proud of the other. This was beautifully written and I felt very emotional after reading it.

In fact, I thought the whole book was rather beautifully written. I'm a little confused, though, as to how (or even why) Sarah Fine rewrote Greek mythology. Author's artistic license I understand, but I'm not I'm entirely a fan of her writing off the way she did. It worked for the story, though, so I guess that's all that really matters.

In sum, this was a really neat trilogy to read. The twist on Greek myths was great fun and I love the happy endings that were found by the three good Ferry siblings (and especially Aislin's). :-)

A fantastic conclusion to a well conceived series, I really enjoyed Aislinn and Jason's story. It was difficult to imagine a likeable Aislinn at first given her characterization in the previous books, but this one makes her character three dimensional and mature. She is smart, compassionate, determined and vulnerable. Jason is her perfect partner for the mission they have to undertake to stop Chaos from taking reign. His character is a little less flushed out but he has a lot more depth to him than ever before.

Really well written and imaginative, this story is fast-paced, with lots of action, betrayal, love, devotion, and fun. It is the perfect wrap up to the series.

The best was saved for last. I will admit I was intrigued by Moros. Aislin was a character I was less interested in, only because she was aloof and didn't come across as the nicest person in the previous 2 books. This book changed my mind. Aislin is kick ass! Great couple. Lots (and I mean lots!) of things going on. Good twists and turns.
This quote was great: "Her sense of herself, her confidence, her power- they all turned him on..."

Despite it being Sarah Fine, terrific writing, and what I'm sure was an epic final battle...this book was an ultimate book chemistry fail.

Only for you, Sarah Fine, would I attempt three books of paranormal, urban fantasies.

Fated wraps up Fine's Servants of Fate trilogy and the overall plot. Additionally, each book focuses a bit more on a different couple: Marked Cacia Ferry + Eli Margolis; Claimed Galena Margolis + Declan Ferry; and Fated Aislin Ferry + Jason Moros.
Moros might have been born of darkness, but that didn't mean he shied away from the light.
Moros has always been feared by her family members, but not Aislin; she's always found him intriguing. Similarly, she's always the first one he looks for in a room, one of the few who can surprise him. She and Moros are scheduled to stand in front of the Keepers of the Afterlife (Heaven and Hell) in three days and each are concerned about recent events and how they'll be received by the Keepers.
"Chaos is rising."
It's a battle the likes of which no one has seen for over two thousand years - can they survive long enough to restore order and Fate itself? Read the trilogy and find out!

Aislin and Moros caught my interest in the first book, so I was looking forward to hearing more of their story in the finale. Fine satisfied my need for this and a HEA all while keeping me on the edge of my seat until the end. Over the last five days, I've read these books back-to-back and thoroughly enjoyed each. I'll miss having these characters' stories to retreat into; I'd love it if Fine continued telling stories in this world!

If you haven't read this series, then I would suggest going and getting the first book, Marked, and not reading this review. You can read the review that I wrote for Marked though! :)

This is the 3rd (and final?) book in the series. A lot of stuff has happened in the first two books and you can bet that there are a lot of things happening in this one. Aislin Ferry has been left in charge of the reaper business that her father ran. She is not having an easy go of it. There are beings that shouldn't exist wreaking havoc all over the city and the Veil. Jason Moros is the Lord of the Kere and he is committed to helping Aislin but her family and colleagues do not trust him. Aislin has a different approach to him; she's intrigued by him and is even having thoughts of a relationship with him.

I really like this series and I thought this was a great book and if it's the end of the series then it was a fun ride. I'm sad if it the end because I like these characters a lot and this story of reaping souls and delivering them to their end. There is a lot of action and suspense in this story and some romance thrown in as well. While I'm not a huge fan of the romance genre, there are times when it is necessary. This is one of those forbidden love type stories and those always make for a great read. I hope that the author brings back this series or at least some of the characters (maybe prequels or spin offs?). I would definitely read more about this world.

I have enjoyed this author's take on mythology throughout this series and I have loved the characters, but I'm really disappointed by this final book and by this entire series overall. Honestly, the world-building has struggled since the beginning but I thought it might get better after the second installment. Nope, and that is unfortunate because there is so much potential with the future dystopian Boston setting and all of the cool mythological stuff happening there.

This installment features Aislin Ferry and Jason Moros-both characters that I have enjoyed throughout the series. I was excited to see them get their time in the light, but sadly too much of their story has apparently been revealed in previous installments for there to be any real mystery here. I just didn't feel like there was anything new here except for sex between the two of them, so I lost interest very early. I increased the audiobook speed just to get to the end so I could figure out the resolution of the larger conflict, which felt predictable to me.

I kept thinking this trilogy would get better at some point along the way because it has some high ratings, especially here on Goodreads. I was surprised by how graphic the sex scenes are for a story like this one; the sex scenes aren't consistent with the YA-fantasy feel of the rest of the story.

If this wasn't the end of the trilogy, I would stop with this book. I wish I had the time that I spent on this series back so I could spend it on something else.

Audiobook Notes: I'm so glad that I've been using Kindle Unlimited for these audiobooks instead of buying them. Normally I buy nearly everything that I listen to, but I would be upset if I spent my precious credits on these. I ended up stopping the audiobook for a huge chunk of the book and reading it on my Kindle instead.

I realize that by the final book in this trilogy, the stakes are high for humans and the world is about to end if Chaos is unleashed etc etc, but every word sounds like it is emphasized so it needs to stand out. The whole thing is read like it is in boldface and italics. I just don't settle easily into listening to an audiobook that is read in this way because the entire story isn't meant to be read in an urgent-sounding tone.
