They're writing a love story, not falling in love...right?
When aspiring writer Dorothy Harris rescues a stranger from a spider in Times Square, she expects to return to her normal life, not end up having coffee with a gorgeous British actor. James Addison is somewhat famous, completely charming, and entirely unavailable.
She thinks he’ll forget about her and move on, but he doesn’t. In fact, he tracks her down using the ridiculous self-published novella she wrote as a joke and asks her to help him write a screenplay. What starts as a strictly professional collaboration slowly turns into something neither of them planned: late-night phone calls, shared jokes, and becoming each other’s favorite person.
Now Dorothy is spending all her time with a celebrity she absolutely should not be crushing on, while trying to focus on her own dating life and ignore the growing tension between them. James has a girlfriend, Dorothy has a maybe-boyfriend, and despite their undeniable chemistry, their timing is completely inconvenient.
But when their friendship starts to feel dangerously close to something more, Dorothy and James have to decide if love is worth rewriting the entire script they thought their lives were following.

Thank you to the author for allowing me to read the ARC of CUT TO: ME AND YOU. This was an enjoyable book that had slow-burn, romcom vibes. I enjoyed the meet cute between Dorothy and James, as well as their journey from friends, to crushes, to absolute horn dogs. Kat Paige’s ability to make me feel like I was actually in the story with the characters (sometimes laughing at their miscommunications and other times in absolute annoyance- kiss already!!) only added to my enjoyment.
I was able to get an ARC for this book and I really enjoyed it! It had early 2000's RomCom/sitcom vibes, which is one of my favourites. The storyline was well done and had a nice flow. I genuinely could see this playing out as a cute NY City tv show or something.
This was such a cute rom-com! I loved Dorothy’s personality throughout the book she reminds me of myself. James was funny as well and loved how he was basically chasing to any moment he could get to see her. I loved how they met by her finding a spider on him and then going to coffee and talking about such random things! But hey that spider made them meet so kudos to that spider lol. Truly made me laugh sooo many times
Definitely a good slow-burn that I truly loved. They might’ve been friends at first but Kat Paige did so well writing this story!
