Lisaaaa !!! This book took me through it!! One thing I appreciate is a slow build of complexity. Everyone in this book is crazy, in a great way! This being the second book leaving me on edge like this is crazy! This book hit all the makings of a 5 star read for me. The character development, the plot was never lost, the story was perfectly executed and balanced! Now, Solana, the beautiful sin, my girl going through it!! But her finding sisterhood , love and strength is by far my favorite part. Even when shit got ugly with her withdrawals.. she held her own! Shio, fine and stern af! Lowkey kinda hate Shio… he’s just too damn serious.. but he’s fine af so we gonna see what’s next for this mean mfer. Now his baby mama!!!! Bahati, I need someone to put hands on her. Like now! She getting away with too much. Glow, I’m ready for her and ol boy to stop playing. I can’t wait to the third installment of this book! I loved this entire series so much!

The Mob is top 2 and NOTTTTT two….Lisa Austin is a GENIUS with thid mafia ish and everybody needs to tap in ASAPPPP.
I was SO excited for this book and it didnt even remotely disappoint. Shio 2 picked up right where the first book left off and was action packed from the first chapter! Our fave Shio is back, and his list has gotten waaaaaaay longer. With baby Shya possibly being his, man’s plate is FULL. Bahati has entered the villa and is trying her hardest to secure her spot. Solana’s addiction has been discovered and Shio can’t marry an addict…..right? Jisei did so why not? 🌚
The messs was messssy and did not let up!! Tunan is on his way to officially being a mob member, while Shio’s clock to get married is quickly running out. Our other mob faves are living life and putting out small fires too. Glee & lil Leader are gettting adjusted. I LOVEDDDDDDD all the incorporation of other Jagoda Bay characters! If you havent read the rest of the universe, PLEASE DO. And it’s always #FreeLeader ! Will Grind ever wake up? Who knows…Pearla might be done waiting though, and I don’t blame her!
Besides Shio & Solana’s budding relationship, or lack thereof, my favorite part about this book was fucking Italian and the “littles” as Solana calls them. The second generation of the Mob is HILARIOUS and getting more of their stories was fun. Italian is a full blown trick & Pearla and the girls have goals, which I love. I’m very much rooting for Mahzeyah to let Italian get her right 🌚
The story? Fire. The characters? Even better. This was easily a 5-star read and had me immediately itching for the third book. Lisa Austin did tf out of this story so well that it didn’t feel like 700 pages. The plot moved perfectly and had me laughing, crying, and yelling at my Kindle 🥰🤭

Three days, 729 pages for one volume, is the longest journey I think I’ve ever taken. This book was so packed with so much energy, predictions and anticipation. Let me help you.
Shio: My Heart. The thinker and keeper of all things Cuppacio. He has a hard timeline now of choosing his wife. Choices not of his own but of Don. Talking about he's
not letting in any more new people. Figuring the pieces and players in the matters of his “daughter”. Knowing who the enemy is and trying to figure if he’s let others too close to him and his peace.
Tunan: Trying to adapt to this mob life, marriage and his direction of getting money. Has to solve a loose end that is Stella but runs into his last training mission, alone. After that and deciding to buckle down in this marriage with Glow, Storm Stella disrupts his peace again.
Solana: Lisa is the first to change my opinion when I dislike a female character. She suffers through, finds herself, determined to build on that and in the process get that one thing that she only wants from Shio and unintentionally stumbles upon “family members”.
Buhati: The ultimate deceiver and in need of some serious laying on of hands. No chances left to lie, hurt or harm. Has to be handled.
Italian: Walking in the role his great-grandfather said was his. Funny but observant and smart.
This book gives no indication that it’s not done, until it does and your mouth will drop. Lisa Austin pulled an okey doke while taking you thru der!! Awesome!!

I ATE THIS BOOK UP.
SHIO 2 was not what I expected, in the best way possible. I love the way Lisa builds her characters, develops her plots, and sets the scene for us. Every piece feels intentional.
I really enjoyed getting more in depth with Solana and Shio. With his mean ass. 😂 No, but seriously, seeing him a little off kilter was fun. We call him mean, but honestly, he’s just a man of habit and discipline.
Now let’s get into Solana. Even through all of her struggles, I think she might be one of my favorite FMCs once she really starts standing on her own.
Tunan and Glow had me swooning in Book 1, but I was happy to see a little shake-up with them in Book 2. I can’t wait to see how they handle everything moving forward in Book 3.
Again, I love how Lisa builds her stories because getting those little glimpses of Glee and Leader, Perla and Grind, just makes me even more excited to see where everything is headed.
I love the mob. I wanna be the mob. 😭

Omg!!! One thing about it, you know how to connect some people because my gosh! I just wanna say that I had a feeling ever since she ran out that closet straight to that man, with no other concerns, that something wasn’t right.
I don’t feel like Charisma got dug into enough for me. Idk why I thought Tunan had already told her why he went to jail, just hadn’t told her his ex’s name.. Anywho, the police better run that tape back because my G innocent! I’m blaming Demise for this one because if he hadn’t interfered none of this would’ve happened. Don’t turned a beautiful moment into something my G might not be able to come back from.
Please can we have part 3 before the end of the year?!

ARC REVIEW
Absolutely devoured this book. We saw Shio in the past books being a man of reason. A patient/ quiet man that had everything and everyone under control so seeing his life shake was a sight. I love how Lisa can give us lots of action and still tie in the romance while everything is shaking. The development of each character and ability to connect with each other on an individual level is what makes this series so GOOD. I NEED MORE!!! I have so many theories. I hope this family saga continues down multiple generations, the way they are producing I cannot see this being an issue at all!

All of the storylines are moving along. It was good to get an update on Leader and Glee. I still need Grind to wake up and clear up that misunderstanding with Pearla. I love Price down, but Pearla is not his person.

Lisa has done it again and I need the next part immediately! I appreciate how detailed Lisa is and how she took the time to build the story, that way things didn’t seem rushed and made more sense down the line. There was so much anticipation with every storyline in this book, and once you thought you figured something out, there’s a curveball you didn’t see. I called Bahati’s bullsh*t from jump and I’m glad it’s unfolding, but I did not expect that unexpected turn at the end concerning Solana’s family. Also, I’m rooting for Glow and Tunan so bad.

Started out slow for me because Shio was pissing me off. The book seem to be more about the family instead of Shio but now I see why. It was a great read now that I have gotten to the end. Shio was pissing me off acting like his tail was perfect. I can’t wait til they beat Bahati (Bama) ass. Glow is wrecking my nerves she need to grow up. What Dasani should have told her is, you still not gone be privy to all the business faking a husband

A masterpiece is the simplest way to put it. Having a better understanding of Shio and his thought process has made the story even more complex and special.

Great book!
One thing I love about her books is that they are long and worth the wait. Glow is my least favorite the way she did her sister was lame the best thing about her is Tunan. Always loved Solana I knew that was Shio wife and I never trust Bahatti.
