I have loved both books in this series, and I was so excited to jump into this one. This one definitely captured a different emotional experience than the last two.

Tiago's journey absolutely broke my heart. Watching him come to terms with slowly losing his sight while trying to soak in every last visual detail was devastating. What made it even harder was his horrid family, who expect him to act like his reality isn't changing. I just wanted to protect him so hard. This was in contrast to the first two previous books, since those characters were never sighted to begin with, so their experience was different.

I live for an unexpected switch, and Ara being a dominant, strong top in lace was EVERYTHING. I ate it up!

Another highlight, if you’ve read the first two, was Vanya’s sunshine shelf popping in. I’m obsessed with him.

The pacing did feel slightly slower than the last two books, but I still loved it here so much. I really hope this series continues!

Sorry wtf is even happening? They are at odds , meet on a ferry, Tiago spills hot cheese dip on himself, and out of nowhere, it’s a hookup? What??

This is silly and I am not in the mood for abrupt changes in attitude and out-of-nowhere advances.

If Aravind wants to ask AITA, the answer is Yes. Yes, you are. At 34% anyway.

An exasperated DNF but I really like Tiago. Read for him. So far Aravind seems like an ableist (self-admitted) egotostical jerk who used Tiago’s probable career-ending injury for career gain. Him I like…not at all. I’m out…for now.

I like so many of EM Lindsey’s books though, maybe I will take a deep breath and be back. I feel short of patience at the mo.

I loved this book so much! Tiago is a hockey player with a degenerative eye disease & Aravind is a sports reporter, with whom he’s butted heads with before. But we get to see them talk and work through things which leads to Aravind saving Tiago from a nightmare family vacation when start a fake relationship (which eventually turns real).

My heart hurt so much for Tiago 🥺 With his crappy family, and how he never got any support from them… From the beginning it was just blow after blow, starting with the knee injury & then losing more of his sight. It was devastating how his family just repeated the cycle with Oliver as well. I love how strongly Aravind defends and stands up for Tiago, and how his family embraced him. He’s also so fiercely protective of Tiago & I love it, he deserves to have someone like that in his life! Ara’s family loves him so much, and I love that he’s so unapologetically himself.

They had so many sweet moments I adored-the scene with Aravind showing Tiago the pictures on his phone, & the scene with the stars had me crying 😭 they never shied away from their feelings for each other & I really enjoyed the communication they had with one another.

So I thought Hat Trick was going to hold the crown as my favorite EM Lindsey book, but I think this one has taken the top spot! Once I started I couldn’t put it down and stayed up until 2am reading.

Though we get a little hint of fake dating, what this book really is about is two people who set past tensions aside to be there for each other during a tough transitional period & realize very quickly they are deeply in love.

Aravind and Tiago might be the best communicators I’ve ever read in a romance book because not once is there ever any hesitation or doubt about how they feel about each other. The “we are only fake dating” lasts for about a millisecond which was perfect for me!

I swear. I thought that the last book was my favorite but of course, E.M. Lindsey does it again and makes me second guess my thoughts yet one again. I love me a good enemies to lovers and this one had me in my feelings. I think that’s this one might be my absolute favorite in this series!

Tiago. Sweet baby Tiago. His life has pretty much changed with him slowly losing his vision. I loved being able to read what it’s like for someone who is slowly losing their sight. It was beautifully written.

And Aravind. Oooh. When he wins over Tiago, I was here for the cute moments. When they come up with the whole fake dating, not realizing they’re only going to fall hard and fast. Also, I’m such a fan of him in lace and the way he uses those lace with Tiago 🔥

I love how Aravind was the one to show up at the hospital. I will say I will never get on a ferry and not think about what they did. Haha.

Please please please tell me Oliver is going to get a story in the future. This teenager made me love him so much. The fact that Oliver and Tiano got close because of them both having a common factor of their sight.

I was so happen when Tiago stood up to his family and his father can go where the sun doesn’t shine.

Love the found family here, especially how Aravind’s family pretty much adopts him. They way they came and surprised them had me giggling.

What I loved was all the photos and the sandcastle moments. Oh and when Aravind’s ex gets his karma. Good riddance.

I cannot wait for more because I do.

Instead, I stayed up til midnight to read about Tiago and Aravind cause I couldn’t wait to finish their love story. 🥹💌

Yard Sale is the third and final book in E.M. Lindsey’s Legends and Fury series focused on blind hockey players in a league similar to the NHL. It is a spinoff of the Punk as Puck series (featuring players from the League’s sled hockey team) and the books all take place in the larger Punk as Puck universe. Tiago and Aravind have appeared in the background of other stories, and guys from both Punk series show up here in minor roles, but I do think this would stand alone, as the guys spend much of their time on their own away from the gang of found family.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between the men, particularly the more femme Aravind taking control and the way Tiago just melts for him. Tiago is a big guy with a violent, physical job, and something about being with Aravind just allows him to let himself go and be taken care of in ways he really needs. I liked how these guys look out for each other and stand up for one another and there is just a nice dynamic between them.

I have enjoyed both this second series, as well as Lindsey’s larger Punk as Puck universe. I am sad to see the series end, but I have found the books really great and have very much loved this found family of hockey players.

This was the last book in the Legends and Fury series, and EM Lindsey ended it with a bang!

These were two of the most likeable MMCs I’ve ever read, and their love story somehow all started with spilled cheese on a shirt 😂

We have Tiago, who is struggling with a hockey injury on top of progressively losing his vision due to RP. His family doesn’t make things any easier by constantly bringing him down and practically making him feel like he’s exaggerating his struggles.

Then comes Aravind, Tiago’s knight in silk panties, who knows exactly how to put them to good use 😂

Aravind and Tiago definitely didn’t have the best start, but oh boy, was this “redemption” well written. Aravind is exactly the ray of sunshine Tiago needs.

He rescues Tiago from a hellish vacation with his family and offers himself and his family on a golden platter. The aunties were absolutely adorable! 🥹

And when Aravind decides to insult someone (they absolutely derserve it 😊) he gets really creative 😂

This is an enemies to more romance, featuring Tiago and Aravind, and is book three in the Legends and Fury series.

Tiago’s hockey career may be over after being injured during a game but being stuck on a remote island with his hot, infuriating arch-enemy reporter is the last thing he expected on his bingo card. But Aravind persists to want to help Tiago and help him see his worth beyond his career.

I absolutely loved this one. Aravind is this fantastic femme force of nature, who blows into Tiago’s life and shakes it up. I love that they find love with each other, getting over the animosity between them, both being there and making each other’s lives better.

When you gotta give that defenseman the D!

After a hard hit during the playoffs, Tiago Nadeau needs to get away. Especially after the latest hit piece sports reporter Aravind Gupta published about his potentially career-ending injury. Only, it turns out Aravind had the same idea. After a steamy encounter on the ferry, a fake dating pact, and only one bed, it turns out these enemies might not hate each other after all.

Enemies might be a little strong for Tiago and Aravind. However, it was definitely easy to see why Tiago wasn’t happy with the articles being published about him, and why Aravind had little patience for hockey players in general. Even from their earliest interactions, there is an underlying tension between them, and as soon as Tiago needs help, Aravind is quick to jump in.

I love how Tiago and Aravind continuously pick up on little details about each other. It's obvious that even when they were at odds, they really saw who the other man was. On the Island, though they are only fake dating (while having vacation sex), they are absolutely falling in love. Both men have complicated family dynamics, but their current relationships show the difference between a family that comes together after tragedy and one that sucks.

Yard Sale is a fast-paced, sweet love story with some absolutely steamy scenes!

Yard Sale didn’t just end the Legends & Fury series, it body‑checked my feelings into the boards and skated away like “you’re welcome.” Tiago is out here fighting a degenerative eye disease AND an injury that threatens his entire career, spiraling alone in a hospital room like a tragic hockey prince. And who shows up? Aravind. The man Tiago “hates” (read: is wildly attracted to) because of one unflattering article. Their enemies‑to‑lovers energy crackles like a live wire.

Aravind arrives with weaponized kindness, melting Tiago’s defenses like butter on a hot pan. Meanwhile Tiago’s family is actual garbage fire material, and every scene with them made me want to throw hands. Aravind’s family? Delightful auntie‑powered sunshine. No wonder he’s emotionally competent.

These two idiots stumble through fake‑not‑fake feelings, spicy moments, and clueless affection until they finally figure out they’re in love. Cameos, chaos, sweetness and the whole finale is a bittersweet slap and a hug.

Perfect ending. I am feral. I am unwell. I am nourished.

This was an incredibly unique take on a popular trope of reporter/player where we see an exploration of one MMC’s vision loss and one MMC who is recovering from heartbreak and falls back on his culture.

Lingerie and instantly loveable characters make this book an comfort read. Sometimes hockey players are hard to like but my heart absolutely went out to Tiago especially with his terrible family. His knee injury and vision loss were great catalysts for the plot. Aravind was a surprisingly loveable character because I didn’t think I would but he has a heart of gold. He is caring and his family is like a big warm hug. I enjoyed reading about his Indian/Pakistani culture.

This had great summer beach vacation vibes paired with really deep and interesting characters. One side character was a favourite but you’ll have to read it to find out who.

I think what I like the most about this series is the found family between all of them! Like it focuses on a different couple each time but you still get to see your favs! First off when I went into this book series I didn’t know anything about it that they were disabled hockey players! This story is about Thiago a hockey player who’s not totally blind but has a degenerative disease which is making his vision worse and Aravind who is the son of the new coach who’s a reporter
Ara and Thiago got off on the wrong foot because Ara was insensitive when he was writing about Thiago basically accusing him of not being blind enough to play in the league! They are enemies absolutely but when Thiago goes through a horrible injury Ara shows up at the hospital for a quote but also for comfort Thiago is on drugs but he likes that Ara is close!
So Thiago has a pretty awful family turns out he’s not his dad’s son so he treats him like crap but also they don’t believe he’s blind like he doesn’t need help! So when his older brother comes and basically begs Thiago to come to their beach house for a birthday he reluctantly goes
Ara is done with his reporting job he only took it so he could be near his older boyfriend whoooo turned out to be an absolute dirt bag so he’s ready for his vacation at the beach! What he didn’t expect on the ferry was to run into Thiago! He tries to help him takes him to his private cabana and the sparks start to fly each of them are kinda confused but into it! Ara apologizes for the stuff he’s been talking and Thiago accepts the apology! So when Thiago spills on his shirt Ara helps and the sparkkkks they both want it thing is Thiago has fantasied about Ara taking him but they are in a open space sooooo Ara uses his lace underwear to keep Thiago quiet! Damn! When they get off the ferry Thiago tells Ara to go on because his brother is picking him up but he has this bad gut feeling so he sticks around and turns out they forgot him! Ara takes him and drops him off and his family truly are horrible horrible people! When they start making fun of him and shutting the lights off on him and making him room with his nephew! When they got out of the car Thiago was mad because of the last article Ara wrote and he was confused so he went and read the last story and his boss added things so he went to see Thiago! And I screamed because thank god someone was coming to get Thiago! When he saw Ara he was so relieved so they came up with a plan he would play Thiagos boyfriend for his family and Thiago could help him with his aunties! I loved loved Aras protectiveness of Thiago when he saw what his family was doing! I also love that Ara is pretty soft lace and his fierce side comes out with thiagos family and in bed!
They get to spend some time together as just them figuring out what they wanna be what they are! I like that Ara takes pictures of things for Thiago on his phone so he can see it! The spicy pictures the stars and the sandcastles!!
So not only is Thiagos family horrible to him turns out he is the same with his nephew who turns out has the same disorder as Thiago! Uncle Thiago! The conversations between them are so freaking nice he tries to explain to his nephew without scaring him! I also love how sure he is about Ara and Thiago like I can come to your place when you’re married! LOL
All of Aras family arrive and it’s crowded I love that they got a place for 24 hours so they could just be together alone! I like that even though it started off as fake that it turned into something special
Ara didn’t know what he was going to do with his job offer from his dad and Thiago didn’t know if he could play hockey anymore but they were going to figure it out together as a couple! They didn’t know each other long but they loved each other it took Ara a bit to say it because of his past with his ex but he did he loved Thiago and he helped him as much as he could!

“Could I come visit? When you and Uncle Tiago get a place together?” I loved how boldly he assumed that Tiago and I were inevitable. I wanted to bottle up that confidence and keep it because the thought of all this ending was still terrifying to me. “Absolutely. I dropped the phone on the table as Tiago swung his leg over me and sat on my lap. He lowered his head, then spoke in a whisper right against my ear. “Play it up?” “If this is too much,” I whispered back, but he shook his head. “No, Aravind. You are not too much.” He took me by the chin and kissed me, groaning into it It might have been for show—for pretend—but I knew the noises were genuine. Tiago's hockey career may be over, his vision is worsening, and who shows up at the hospital but the guy he can't stand - sports reporter Aravind, the guy who's constantly writing not so great things about him. But when Ara saves him from his horrible family, he starts seeing him in a different light. A fake relationship in close proximity is not staying fake for long.



I love this series! What's not love about a bunch of hockey players who fall in love with other hot men? Tiago, oh Tiago. This boy has such a hard backstory, his family is so awful that I wanted to just wrap him up in a hug and never let go. He got Aravind though, and he more than makes up for Tiago's awful family. They may have started off as enemies of a sort, morphed into fake dating, that itself turned into a supposedly no strings thing, but falling in love was inevitable for these two. The way they just accepted each other without judgment made me so happy. And their chemistry is smokin' hot. I'm not sure which hockey player is next to fall, but I can't wait.

Tiago. Oh, Tiago. I have been waiting for this book because I have always admired Tiago, and I wanted so badly for him to get the happy ending he deserved. He was always a solid friend of their group, and he deserved to be happy too. What I did NOT expect was how much I initially disliked Aravind. I already wasn’t his biggest fan after the last book, so obviously I was holding onto a little grudge. But as I read, I quickly realized that he was not the grade-A jerk I thought he was, and I eventually came around to really like him.

Now, Tiago's family..... I hated them more than I hate pineapple on pizza, and I LOATHE pineapple on pizza; it's an abomination. His family was the example of, “If I could climb into this book and mace every single one of you, I would.” It was incredibly difficult to read about the way Tiago was treated and how much he tolerated just to maintain some sense of connection to the people he considered family. Even though they did not think the same thing about him. There is something heartbreaking about being so desperate to hold onto a relationship that you are willing to accept treatment you know you don’t deserve.

What I loved most, though, was that Tiago was aware of what was happening. He wasn’t oblivious to the way his family treated him, and I loved watching him eventually start standing up for himself and Aravind being ride or die in the process. He recognized that their behavior was wrong and, more importantly, he began understanding that loving someone does not mean allowing them to continually hurt you.

I loved how Aravind grew in this story, and we really saw how his insecurities affected his relationships with others. While grieving one of his favorite people in the world, watching him grow into himself and not allow others to just be in his life because he was lonely was so important. I loved how his family surrounded him and how the cultural differences between him and Tiago did nothing to hinder their relationship. Aravind was a sassy force to be reckoned with, and once he found himself and his confidence, he was really Tiago's biggest ally.

I also really loved the additional storyline involving Tiago’s nephew. I’m hoping that somewhere down the road we get more of his character because I would absolutely read that story.

E.M. Lindsay continues to do such a fantastic job with disability representation. I really appreciated the way this book explored the struggles, biases, and discrimination individuals with disabilities experience, while also showing that ignorance can be unlearned. You can be wrong, become educated, listen, and do better. I also loved the reminder that sometimes what we consider “normal” can actually take away someone’s independence. Just because a person is disabled doesn’t mean they automatically need intervention or assistance with things they are perfectly capable of doing themselves.

Overall, I loved this book, and I love how connected all of these stories are. The friendships, the relationships, the way these characters support one another, and how their stories continue to overlap are some of my favorite things about this series and every series I have read from them.

I know I’m always saying how much I love the books in this series, but it’s true. I really love this series so much. Every couple’s journey has been a hard fought battle. Finding their happiness has been a challenge but they’ve done it.

They all have had a common denominator and that is that they have s**tty families. I can’t say which one I despise more because they’re all terrible but Tiago’s takes the cake🤬 The way they deliberately hurt him was absolutely disgusting.

It really made no sense to me that they blamed him for his condition. As if he chose to go blind and need a cane to move around 🙄 I wanted to get inside the book and slap all of them.

All Tiago wanted was to be accepted for who he was and shown some love. It shouldn’t have been so hard for his family to be kinder to him and his condition. Instead, they seemed to enjoy belittling him.

Aravind’s family was the total opposite. They smothered him with so much love that it was overwhelming. Even after having certain differences with his father, he never felt unloved or unwanted.

That only happened with his jerk of an ex who only saw him as an exotic object to use. He never saw Aravind as anything but a sexual toy and when he tired of him, he simply tossed him aside filling him with insecurities and self doubts.

It’s all that anger and resentment that makes him lash out at the wrong people. His own hurt didn’t let him see how his words affected Tiago. Writing articles that were less than positive and making him look like he wasn’t good enough as a player.

The animosity between them was well known but underneath all the anger towards each other was attraction. And it becomes more clear when Tiago gets badly injured. Aravind starts to see him differently and somehow that attraction grows.

When they coincide in the same place, the chemistry between goes off like fireworks. Tiago gets to see a different side of Aravind he wasn’t expecting. Granted, he was still pissed about the article he had written, but that didn’t stop him from giving in to his desire for the beautiful man.

When the truth comes out, Aravind decides to face Tiago to apologize but instead, he ends up saving him from the derisive comments and behavior from his family. He goes on protective mode and that’s something Tiago isn’t used to.

The more they get to know each other, the more Tiago starts to believe there can be something more between them. It might have started as a fake relationship to get his family to back off but he really liked Aravind and wanted to give their relationship a shot.

Even though Aravind knew he could trust Tiago, he was still traumatized from his previous relationship. He didn’t want to give his heart to him and have it broken once again. But little by little, Tiago took those fears away by cherishing him every step of the way.

My favorite part of this book was Tiago finally standing up for him. He finally understood he was better off without his finally, that he had people who really loved him and would never treat him the way they did. He finally found his person and could be truly happy with his life.

Tiago is a professional blind hockey player who previously had a little bit more vision than some of his teammates, but that’s starting to degrade. And when he gets injured on the ice, he has to come to terms with the fact that recovery may not mean that he’ll get back on the ice. He’s a little lost, and his self-worth has taken a hit too. He agrees to go spend time on the island with his family, but they’ve never been supportive of him and usually make him feel worse.

The other person that’s riled Tiago up has been a sports reporter Aravind Gupta. He definitely didn’t make a friend with Tiago at their first meeting, but in all fairness, he had a lot going on in his own life and was throwing attitude. But he’s tried to make up for it a little bit. He's got his own issues and a past that has caused trust issues, and he is just "too much" for some people. . He’s also headed to the island for family time.

A chance meeting gives them the opportunity to briefly explore the attraction they've both been trying to ignore, and it opens up a door. And circumstances lead Tiago to walk through it.

Now they’re having this little summer fling that’s becoming more comfortable and passionate by the day. They find that they actually balance each other out very well, and once they let down their armor, they actually appreciate and like each other. I liked seeing them be supportive and protective of each other.

These two go through it from fighting to flirting to fake romance to family drama to falling. I loved seeing them find a connection, acceptance, understanding, trust, safety, and enjoy life more. But their lives and futures are also both in flux. They both have decisions to make, and aren’t sure what direction they’re going to go. I really did like these two together. Aravind was sensitive to Tiago’s issues. And Tiago accepted and liked Ara for just who he was: fem, pretty, bossy, and he let him take control when he wanted to.

And there’s other family drama and shenanigans in the background. And there’s also some visits from their hockey friends from previous books. I have really enjoyed these PPHL hockey books and couples and am sorry this is the end of this spin-off series.

Man, these were all SO damn good in a heart rending but wholesome and delightfully spicy way. I thought the OG three Punk as Puck books were rough on the ol heart, but these were just a whole other level of ouch. The ableism in particular was hard to read but so well written, and the ways the characters responded to it was so relatable. I wonder if maybe Lindsey is just getting better and more comfortable with writing disabled characters being and reacting with authenticity vs what might be expected of them? Whatever the case may be, I’m incredibly sad that this is the last book in this universe because I really, really loved these characters and their stories.

Any disability rep makes me happy, but there’s something about how comfortable and (mostly) well-adjusted (in regards to their disability status) the men in this universe are, that makes my chest warm. They fumble and they get stuck in their feelings like anyone else, but they don’t feel … idk, fragile, I guess? In the way that a lot of people write disabled people. They’re not inspo-porn invincible either though, there’s a good balance.

Anyway I’m rambling and getting off track — Tiago & Aravind’s story was so wholesome and cozy and easy in ways that felt very natural and inevitable, and the chemistry and spice between them was soooo hot but also incredibly natural. It felt like they were meant for each other, which I know is the point of romance but I mean in a “this was written so well I could see they were meant to be from a mile away” (and so could the teenager in their life, which I loved btw) kind of way. Everything about them screamed “yeah this isn’t fake” two seconds into their fake dating arrangement, and I just kept rooting for them to finally stop fronting and lay it all out for the other. It took longer than I expected but I wasn’t upset. It was a beautiful book. I loved the subplot with Tiago’s family, especially the nephew and Tiago finally telling them all to get fucked. I loved how close Aravind was with his dad, and the rest of his family (the cultural stuff sprinkled throughout was lovely too). I also loved that the ex gets what is coming to him (altho I really wish something had been done about the shitty boss and him going rogue with Aravind’s article).

I could probably ramble for ever. The tldr is I really enjoyed this and I will definitely be re-reading these at some point because I genuinely love these characters. 🥹 They feel like friends (and or maybe I wish I had a friend group like them 🥲 but all my disabled homies are spread out across the globe)

Aravind, a journalist covering the PPHL, has plans to spend the summer at his family's beach house and escape his overbearing ex-boyfriend. What he doesn't anticipate is to run into Tiago on the ferry taking him to the island where the beach house is.
The tension is strong at first, as Aravind has written multiple ableist articles about Tiago in the past, making these two MCs at odds with each other.
Will the two of them living close to one another on the island make things worse, or will they find a way to put their differences aside?

My review:
This book was so so good and has made me want to read the first 2 books of the series. As always, E.M Lindsey is incredible at giving characters with disabilities a full voice; the representation is always very authentic and incredibly diverse.
Aravind's redemption arc is beautiful, getting to Tiago right when he needed help and support the most. He lets Tiago into this beautiful South-Asian family, full of love and food. The relationship with his dad and the loss of his mother also felt very real and relatable.
Tiago's family is horrible and I wanted to shield this man from the world from the moment we get to meet his parents and brothers.
The smut was also top-notch. The top/bottom relationship is not what you'd initially assume, nor is the bossy vs good boy relationship in the bedroom. It was another great way for E.M Lindsey to break some pretty common stereotypes in MM romance, and I loved it!
Overall a really great book, super easy to get sucked into and with a guaranteed HEA.

As Yard Sale is the third and final book in the Legends and Fury series, it came with all the sentimental feelings and lovely moments I was hoping for.  

Tiago may have a degenerative eye disease that is stealing his eye sight, but that has never limited his ability to play hockey. However, try telling that to Aravind, or that is what he's assumed since Aravind wrote an unflattering piece about Tiago awhile back. It's what set them on their enemies to lovers path, which I'll get to in just a minute, but first lets walk this line of history that takes them from enemies to lovers.

Tiago sustains an injury during a game, that potentially could take him out of playing hockey for the rest of his life. The emotional roller coaster that Tiago goes through was hard enough, but what was even harder to read was how alone Tiago felt through it all. Yes, he has friends, his found family, but they were all still playing and couldn't really be there every moment while Tiago was still in the hospital. This was the moment that Aravind arrived, even when Tiago sort of didn't want him there, he also did. It was that same feeling he always felt upon seeing Aravind. He was attracted to the man, but also didn't want to be attracted to him. You know, the- I like you, but don't want to like you feelings...Sort of a complicated mess, but in these moments, Aravind's kindness first shines through and neither of them may know it, but it's this connection that brings them together later. I loved it and couldn't wait to see it again and luckily Aravind didn't disappoint.

As for Tiago's family...they are truly awful 😢 and definitely a main focal point for a lot of the story, which made my heart ache for Tiago. The way they treated him, not only in regards to his vision loss, but also with who he dated...it was terrible. On the flip side...Aravind's family is a delight. I loved his family and all of his aunties. It's easy to see where Aravind got his overflowing kindness from. I also appreciated that he  was quick to admit his mistakes and didn't like when things festered. Aravind was very easy to like and was the perfect match for Tiago.

I certainly enjoyed the spicy twists and all of the cameos from past characters and while these two may have taken awhile to figure out that they actually did like one another and weren't just faking it, I loved how adorably clueless they were. Yard Sale was the perfect, yet bittersweet, way to end the series.

ARC of Yard Sale Book 3 in the Legends and Fury Series by E.M. Lindsey. This book is part of an interconnected series but can be read as a standalone. This is the final book in this series. I loved this series and am sad to see it end. This is a 5 star read for me. I love this book its so good. This book had be cracking up, smiling, and swooning. I love the friend group in this book and how they are a family and always there for each other. This is a slow burn, spicy, enemies to lovers, blind hockey player mmc, sports reporter mmc, found family, fake dating, MM hockey romance. This is Tiago and Aravind’s story. I love the chemistry, tension, and banter between Tiago and Aravind. I love Tiago my heart hurts for what he has to put up with from his family they are awful. I love how confident and uniquely himself Avarind is and I love his big bold personality. I love Tiago and Aravind together, they fit together perfectly. They both accept each other for who they are and don’t want to change each other. Tiago Nadeau is 32 and is a pro hockey player for the Boston Legends in the PPHL. He is blind with a very low field of vision. Aravind Gupta is a sports reporter for the PPHL. After a possible career ending injury Tiago goes to his family’s beach house for a family get together and so he can get away for a few weeks while he heals and decides what he’s going to do next. Avarind just ended his job and is going on vacation to his family’s beach house to figure out what he wants to do next. Tiago and Aravind are coincidentally going to the same island and run into each other on their way there. Tiago and Aravind don’t get along. Tiago can’t stand Avarind because of the articles he has written about him. But when they run into each other on the ferry to the island things change between them. The attraction and want between them is undeniable. While on the island Aravind helps Tiago manage being around his awful family and they also get to explore each other and hook up. Aravind has always felt like he’s too much but Tiago accepts and loves him for you he is and wouldn’t change a thing about him. This thing between them was only supposed to be temporary but both are falling and neither want it to end. I absolutely loved this book it is so swoon worthy and I definitely recommend it.

Wow, siento que este era el libro que menos ganas tenía de leer, pero sorprendentemente fue el que más me gustó con diferencia frente a sus antecesores!

Aravind y Tiago fueron perfectos el uno para el otro y no podría haberlos disfrutado más. Me fascinó su dinámica y su "enemies to lovers" jajja (igual la enemistad les duró dos segundos, pero me encantó igual! 🤭).

Sinceramente no esperaba nada de ellos. Si bien Tiago me parecía un personaje intrigante cada vez que aparecía, no sabía qué esperar de él como protagonista ni como pareja, obviamente me encantó, y me gustó aún más verlo con Aravind y ver cómo este lo derretía en cada oportunidad que tenía 🔥.

Aravind, sin dudas, fue el personaje revelación. Apenas recordaba su participación en los libros anteriores, pero en este me fascinó por completo y quedé totalmente enamorada de él y de su familia.

No tengo mucho más que decir, solo que lo disfruté muchísimo.

Wow, I feel like this was the book I was least excited to read, yet surprisingly, it turned out to be my absolute favorite out of the whole series!

Aravind and Tiago were so perfect for each other, and I couldn't have enjoyed them more. I loved their dynamic and their "enemies to lovers" arc hhaha (even though their rivalry lasted all of two seconds, but I still adored it! 🤭).

Honestly, I had zero expectations for them. While Tiago always seemed like an intriguing character whenever he popped up, I didn't know what to expect from him as a lead or in a relationship. Naturally, I loved him, and I loved him even more with Aravind—watching Aravind melt his defenses at every given opportunity was everything 🔥.

Aravind was definitely the standout character. I barely remembered him from the previous books, but in this one, he completely stole my heart. I am now utterly in love with him and his family.

I don't have much else to say other than I enjoyed this read immensely!

Oh man, I loved this. Softer than Hat Trick but no less depth in the topics at hand.

What a great bookend to the Legends and Fury spinoff! Tiago and Aravind seem initially like an unlikely pair but turn out to be very well matched, and I appreciated that we didn't need to wait too long to see it.

The conversation surrounding Aravind's prior ableism from when he was reporting in the locker room and how his anger at what was going on in his life wasn't an excuse and he would do better, was really well done, imo. He owns it and doesn't let Tiago wave it away as nothing, and he shows through his actions that he has learned. Coming into this book you wonder how these two could possibly work, but as always, E.M. Lindsey is masterful at a redemption arc and so here we are.

I really appreciated how Aravind had no problem stepping up against Tiago's horrible ableist abusive family, and I really liked how Tiago bonds with his nephew. In counterpoint, I loved how Tiago doesn't skip a beat when Aravind's abusive ex calls, and how he falls for everything in Aravind that others have previously labelled "too much." Both MCs have grown up with the trauma of feeling like a burden and the way they come together to hold each other as they are is so beautiful.

I highlights so many great quotes of Aravind's throughout this book. I couldn't get enough of how he talks about racism and grief and trauma in a way that made me feel the depth of them but also made me laugh out loud many times, and I loved how he speaks to Tiago's family in a way that leaves no room for further comment.

I really admire how E.M. Lindsey talks about heavy topics like abuse and hate and neglect and grief. They're always able to weave these topics into moments of levity and fierceness and softness. So good. I can truly never get enough. There is a reason they have become one of my favourite comfort authors!

Anyway, I'm going to miss these PPHL players! But that's what rereading is for.

I loved this story, but interested readers should check out the content warnings before starting. Tiago's family was awful and that says something after reading about Jonah and Micah's parents in the first two books. Tiago's family was terrible in different ways, but it's no less stressful or devastating. On a side note, you might be able to read this as a standalone, but having read Hat Trick (book 2) first would provide insight into the first interactions Tiago and Aravind had.

Tiago and Aravind definitely got off on the wrong foot and their interactions haven't really improved. Tiago's injury ended up giving them both a little different perspective, but running into each other on the ferry was good for them both. I was glad that they had that time before Tiago had to deal with his family.

While the reason that Aravind tracked Tiago down was unfortunate, I was beyond elated that Aravind showed up when he did. Once Aravind and Tiago cleared the air completely, they got along amazingly. I liked how Tiago and Aravind's relationship grew and that they were honest and clear about what was happening between them, even as things changed. They were well matched and so compatible; it was amazing. I felt for Tiago about so many things he was going through, but I loved how much support and love he was shown by many of the people around him. I was so happy that he helped his nephew as much as he could and gave him a safe space.

I loved the found family trope that has been a large part of this series, and Tiago's inclusion into Aravind's family was just another beautiful part of that. Tiago's family needed a reality check, and I was glad that he got the chance to lay into them.

I enjoyed seeing so many of the previous MC's in this one, but I'm a little sad to see the end of this series after all the wonderful characters that came from it. I can only hope that we might see a few of them in spin-off books someday.

The final book of this series has arrived! I’m really sad to see it end. This was such a great series. We end the series with Tiago and Aravind. And if you have read the previous book, you know these two don’t exact get along. Aravind tends to say exactly the wrong thing and is a sports reporter. So if you aren’t at your best, prepare for that bad report. And Tiago is having quite a time. Tiago has been slowly going blind for a long time now. And he knows that the day is coming sooner rather than later where his vision will be gone for good. But then to add to it all, he gets a very bad injury at his hockey game. Jeopardizing his career. This may just be the game that makes him retire. And of course, Aravind is there to write about it. Aravind hates his job. It’s not the type of writing he wanted and the fact that his cheating of an ex works in the same building as him does not help. He is counting the days until his contract is up. His last article will be on Tiago’s injury. He knows he hasn’t been his best around Tiago, but he is trying. And that comes soon when the two of them find themselves on a ferry together. And the chemistry between them ignites. All the tension finally releases in an unexpected way. And both of them realize…they want more. More of one another. So when Tiago needs a major buffer between his horrible family, Aravind is there to be the perfect boyfriend. And well, pretending is the last thing on their mind when everything feels realer and realer by the moment. Can they actually have a future together? These two definitely had some enemies to lovers vibe, but I loved when they actually communicated and were able to get past some things and realize that they are actually pretty perfect for one another. I loved watching them get to know one another better and falling hard for each other. Just a perfect way to end this series!

I haven’t read the first two books in the trilogy, but so many interesting characters showed up here that I’ll definitely get around to reading them. (Although I think this book works perfectly well as a standalone, too.)

By now, we’ve come to expect the author’s absolutely realistic and wonderfully handled representation of various disabilities – and this time was no different.

So many traumas and important topics were brought to the table, it was like picking and choosing from a buffet. The difference is that I didn’t have to choose; I got everything through the characters. And I won’t lie, my heart broke over Tiago’s progressive eye condition. I absolutely hated his family and would have happily drowned (especially) his father in a teaspoon of water. I loved the way Tiago gave them a piece of his mind at the end! Oliver deserves a book of his own, at the very least a novella. And I’d send Aravind straight to a therapist and give him the biggest, tightest hug.

Saying that the relationship between the blind hockey player and the journalist with a feminine appearance got off to a rocky start would be an understatement. But they went through such a beautiful journey that I couldn’t help but fall in love with them. They’re so incredibly... human. With physical and/or emotional wounds, fears, insecurities, and desires.

I absolutely loved their dynamic. The little gestures. The hugs. The photos. Their insecurities. The way they communicated. The fact that they were honest with each other.

The beginning of the book took a while to pull me in, but then I suddenly realized, wait, how are we already at the epilogue?! Despite the heavy topics (or perhaps because of them, haha), I’d recommend this book to anyone who wants a healthy dose of heartbreak, grief, tenderness, and a whole lot of emotions thrown their way.

Another fantastic (and final) entry into E.M. Lindsey's Punk as Puck/Legends and Fury world.

My heart really went out to Tiago. We've gotten glimpses of him in earlier books in the series, and I was so excited to learn that he would be the lead in this one. He has so much going on between a potentially career-ending injury and his rapidly declining eyesight, the result of retinitis pigmentosa. Either one would be enough to send a person into a spiral, let alone both stacked on top of each other. And then there's his family.

Tiago may have one of the worst families ever committed to paper, and their continual mistreatment of him for no reason other than his degenerative eye disease and parentage both disgusted me and broke my heart. I kept wanting him to cut them all out of his life while also understanding how easy that is to say and how difficult it is to actually do. He deserves someone (truly, lots of someones) who loves him for the kind and generous man he is... someone like Aravind.

Aravind rubbed me the wrong way earlier in the series with some ableist language, but much like Tiago, I just needed the chance to really get to know him. He acknowledges that he was wrong in the past and actively works to correct his ignorance, showing the kind of character growth I absolutely adore. I also love that Aravind is given the space to be soft and feminine without that automatically translating into stereotypical bedroom power dynamics. It's one of the many reasons I enjoy reading Lindsey's books so much.

I absolutely ate up the dynamic between Tiago and Aravind once they finally give in to the tension that's been brewing between them. They come to genuinely respect and trust each other, opening up about their hurts and fears along the way. It's a deeply emotional journey that balances the heat and spice perfectly. And the best part? No miscommunication. They're vocal about what they want from each other and what they want their future to look like. LOVE THAT FOR THEM.

I'm sad to say goodbye to the Punk as Puck and Legends and Fury series, but I'm holding out hope that this isn't the last time we'll see these characters.

Oh my heart

Tiago is such an amazing man despite the vile family he has. He has a degenerative eye condition and his family basically said it was what he deserved because his mother cheated. I wanted to scream at his family.

So this one starts off with an injury. When Aravind came to visit him he was out of it but he felt safe which is amazing considering these two didn't get along. Yeah the line between hate and love is not very big. Lol.

When Aravind and Tiago run into each other on the boat you knew things would be interesting. Aravind is so sweet and patient. He never cares about the disability and he constantly works to accommodate as much as possible. That scene on the boat was so freaking hot.

When Tiago's family doesn't even show up to pick him up I knew I was going to rage. His family is AWFUL to him. They just pretend he is normal. Then when he uses the cane or stumbles he's a problem. I was ready to smack so people around.

Aravind is always there when Tiago needed him. Even when he didn't realize it. He was quick to jump in and help. I loved the way this was supposed to be fake dating but never really fake. These two needed each other. They fit beautifully and filled the places they didn't even realize were so empty.

Then we have Oliver. This is Tiago's nephew who also was diagnosed with the sane eye disease. I'm so glad Oliver has Tiago and I hope his parents get their heads out of their 🍑 for their child.

I adored Aravind's crazy family. They were quick to accept not only Tiago but Oliver when he was there. The family dynamics could not be more opposite. Tiago needed the chance to be himself as he was dealing with this possible career ending injury and his continuing vision loss.

What a beautiful relationship these two have. They connected perfectly. They were able to talk and accommodate what each other needed. Plus the spice was so hot.
