From the New York Times, USA Today & Wall Street Journal Bestselling Series, the Black family has returned.
It all started one night when a selfless woman helped a drunken stranger get home safely from a club. Little did they both know that after that one night, their lives would change forever. A friendship was forged, an undeniable love was born, and secrets were revealed that took them on the journey of a lifetime. A family was created: a daughter and a son, who were Connor and Ellery’s world. Just when they thought life couldn’t get any better, their daughter, Julia gave them grandchildren, and their son, Collin, grew to be a man, just like his father.
Join the Black family in the final installment of the Forever Series as Connor, Ellery, Julia, and Collin continue to live life as they know it. Surprises will be revealed and an unexpected fate will bring this family and friends closer than ever before creating an even stronger bond that can never be broken.
Writing is my passion and my mission is to provide readers with romance novels that will whisk them away into another world and from the daily grind of life - one book at a time.
A Forever Family is book 5 in the Forever series following Connor Black and his family. In book 1, Forever Black, Connor meets Ellery, who turns out to be the love of his life. Through the years, they raise a family and go through many ups and downs.
In the final book, Connor and Ellery and their adult children, have a struggle like no other. Through it all, they stick together as a family, even with some surprises along the way.
I listened to the audiobook for this one, and I absolutely loved it. The story is told with 4 POVs (Connor, Ellery and their children, Julia and Collin) and the audiobook had a narrator for each one. I only had a problem with the narrator for Julia because her voice sounded very childlike. Although, I did have the audio speed at 1.25, which didn’t help either.
I read book 1 about six years ago, and I am a little sad the series is over. The epilogue, however, was a perfect ending and wrapped everything up for a perfect ending.
Elle, these years you’ve given me have been the ultimate gift of life and I wouldn’t trade one single moment of it. We’ve raised two beautiful and successful children and created a family like no other. Our love is immeasurable and it’s forever. We are moving into a new chapter in our lives and I can’t wait to write our story and create more beautiful memories together. You are and always will be the love of my life.
Our story wasn’t always perfect. From day one, we had our ups and downs, but no matter what life threw at us, our love was strong and unlike any other that pulled us through.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLLY SHIT I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ONE !!!
Ciao, readers. Riusciranno a restare uniti nonostante tutto? Buona lettura.
Amei, adorei, achei maravilhoso! Preciso dizer o quanto gostei?
---------------------- Loved it, loved it, great! I have to say how much I liked? I think not! The series ends with a golden key. I've been reading slowly, because I refused to say goodbye this series, but it was worth ... the story was very beautiful, I cried, I laugh, I thrilled and remember past facts of life of our heroes! I highly recommend!
To read this book was like coming home to a family that cemented their place in my heart many moons ago. I cannot believe that this is the end :-( I loved that we had POV's from all the Black Family and Sandi Lynn does what Sandi Lynn does best and that is brings honest to goodness love and romance to the table. (full review to come)
This is the last book in the series and it picks up right where Collin's Book left. That book ended with Colin and amelia eloping to Las Vegas and then obviously both Connor and Ellery were not happy about it but in this book, we see how much Connor and Colin are alike. Because Connor would have done the same thing if Ellery wouldn't have been sick.
This book is written from the point of view of all the main characters. There is a portion where Julia and jack are met by an accident and both of the kidneys of Julia fail, that part of the book was really emotional but the best part was that they all stood by each other and the family dynamics of this book is really really good.
So do I recommend reading this book for this series? Yes, definitely.
“He said, ‘Son, never let the circumstances in life get in your way of becoming a great man. Shit happens and sometimes life isn’t fair, but you were made to be someone special and no matter what happens, you need to follow what’s in your heart. Don’t become a victim of circumstances.’”
Touche with this line, what beautiful family they have... Denny is like fairy godfather to me..
Blooming Heck! That was one hellava beautiful finale.
Have love Ellery and Connor, from the start, I have loved how ballsy Ellery has been throughout, but also so sweet, full of compassion, love, hate at times, and a passion to end all passion. She is a remarkable lady, not to mention rule breaker!
Connor was this Manwhore with a set of rules, and not used to being told No! Always used to getting his own way, so when he first met the firecracker that was Ellery, he started to live his life.
The Blacks, have shown time and again that Family Matters. Without family you are not really living only existing.
Julia and Collin both turned out to have their parents good hearts, as well as looks. They each have their own families, getting married and settling down.
This book has had me smiling, laughing, chuckling, oh yeah and balling!!! Thank goodness I didn't have any Mascara on! I would have look like the band Kiss!
Loved Collin and Amelia eloping, I flt for all of the! Collin for the fact that he ad to tell his parents, and Connor and Ellery for not being part of such a beautiful union. Glad they managed to overcome that one.
Then you try and break us, with Julia's accident!!! Things certainly do happen for a reason. Sad that whilst we all mourned for Denny, we still got some of his wisdom. Gone but not forgotten.
More sad news about Connor's father, and on discovering the cold hard secret -boy I think I would have reacted just as Connor did, but Ellery, the peacemaker, steps up as always.
I really loved the banter, bot only between Connor and Ellery but also between them all, and the closeness between Julia and Collin.
We had some devastating moments, some real tough points, but overall we learnt that this family are the centre of everything Black related.
Loved being introduced to old characters, thankfully changed! Also Diane and Jacob, great to catch up with them. Not forgetting Mason, always on hand when needed. Such a sweet caring friend.
Hailey had it rough for a time and I thought she was going to end up with Ethan, but she fell hard for the Stranger. Lucas had tons of anger, but the Black Family values shone through and he is actually a lovely man, such a great thing to do for someone he doesn't know that well.
It's been a pleasure to follow the Black Family, all the trials and tribulations, the ups and downs, you know how to bring the reader smack down into the thick of it all, feeling like we are a part of the story.
Sad to see it end, and the epilogue utterly beautiful, as was their Vow renewal, reminded me of mine a few years ago after 25 years together.
I have been a fan since Forever Black and with every book in the series, it just gets better and better. In this final installment, we get everyone's POV which I loved.
This picks up right from where Collin left off. If you haven't read his book, I highly recommend it as well as the others in the series. After Collin's announcement, everything picks up from there.
Connor and Ellery are more in love than ever I couldn't help but remember how their relationship started. To see them after more than 20 years made me so happy.
Sandi did a wonderful job bringing everything together. All the characters we love are here as well as some from other books that Sandi has written. loved the crossover and look forward to Liam's story.
There were some heartbreaking scenes which showed just how strong the Black family was. Connor has so much love for his family and the way he takes care of them is amazing. Some lies and secrets come to light which we don't see coming and the way it all came together was beautiful.
I'm sad to see this series end, but it was a great ride. Some are missed and some are introduced making this one hell of a conclusion. Well done Sandi!! Looking forward to see what you have in store for us next.
This series is by far the best series I've ever read, and I read a lot of books!!! It's a must read. I'm very happy Sandi had the release day pushed up! I spend all morning reading it. I couldn't put it down. I didn't want to.
The only thing I will say about this book is: this book is written from four different perspectives; the black family "Connor, Ellery, Julia & Collin". The book picks up where it ended in the fourth installment. This book had me laughing, crying and all emotions running high. I felt like I knew these people personal. I hurt where they did, also shared their happiness.
This book truly shows the importance of family and true friends. It has what all family have; secrets, betrayal, unconditional love. But most importantly it had forgiveness.
If there's one thing the black family thought me is that, life is very precious & short, so love where you can & forgive where it's needed. Help others so that people remember there's still good in the world. But most importantly LOVE selflessly!!
I'm the words of Chris Brown, "it's never a right time to say goodbye.."
I hope this is not the end, I truly enjoyed the ride of this family ..forever black, forever you, forever us...forever family ❤️
Wow...this book had a lot of stuff in it. A lot of issues and plots, but I really loved it. I finished in within a couple hours because of so much going on, I didn't want to stop!!! I actually got really mad at two points in the book. At both the kids. Collin did something very hurtful to his parents and yes I get that Conner and Ellery could have said things in a different way but they were devastated. And then they apologized and said they were wrong...HECK no, I don't think they were wrong at all. I would be inconsolable if my child did what Collin did. Ugh. Then the thing with Julia and Ashlyn. I'm sorry...I think Conner had every right to be upset...that woman hurt not only him but Ellery. I just felt that Julia kicking her father out and yelling at him was so uncalled for...I dunno...just pissed me off. These freaking kids!!! I just felt that in those two instances the kids were at fault not the parents. Anyway, other than those two things, I really loved the book. I would have liked to have read more about Lucas and Hailey. I think that could have been a nice spin off or maybe a novella. Still wouldn't mind a novella...wink, wink.
Ah! What can I say?? This book was truly amazing and it was a beautiful way their story ended. The story of my idols- Ellery and Connor. This book revolves around their lives after their kids are all grown up and how they still stand by them..help them...care for them when their parents did not. At times I cried out of joy, sadness and longing but I also laughed when they were happy and merry. Sandi, I don't know if you'll be reading this review but if you do... You really made me cry like an infant girl! I love you for making me believe that love does exist. I want to write more but believe me guys, I don't have words to convey what I am really feeling right now. And Connor Black was right when he said- "We are the Black family and will continue to live our lives to the fullest. Our story may have ended but we will continue to be in your hearts forever". You are damn right man! For I know this that even when I die and am on my deadbed the Black family will be etched into my little heart FOREVER. Do read this series.... its AMAZING 😊
I absolutely love this series. Connor and Ellery have been through a lot and once again will be tested. When secrets come out, will the Black family pull through? I loved how this book brought everything together. You can feel the love of all the characters and it's sad to see this series end but I can't wait to read more of Sandi's books. Connor and Ellery will be a couple that I will never forget and I will always recommend this series
This was an amazing story, I've read the Black story from the very beginning and cried through all their ups and downs and the conclusion was no different. The Black Family will always be remembered by me and it saddens me to see their story end because it was like I watched this Family grow and so I would like to thank Sandi for this wild and wonderful ride. In the end it was a awesome way to exit, but in my heart I am wishing for more.
Connor: We know that we’ll be in your hearts forever.
The End
Pasaje de: Lynn, Sandi. “A Forever Family (Forever Trilogy) (Volume 6).”
I'm in love with Connor Black all over again! The only thing that didn"t appeal to me in this book is Connor's son, Collin. His inner monologue is like thougths of a girl. Is he gay? Lol. Joke. Anyway, I hope there's more. and sad to say, according to Sandi Lynn, this is the last. :(
A great end to the series. It was lovely reading about all the characters and it didn't just focused on one character. Everyone was mentioned including a few additionally shocking ones. I have to admit the start of the book was a little predictable but in the middle it improved and had a great ending. Highly recommend this series.
I really enjoyed reading the conclusion of Black family. But I think there's nothing new or thrilling about it unlike the first and second book. But overall, it still has the turn-the-next-page factor :)
I love this family a lot and finding out this was coming early made me really happy, This one has to be my fave out of them all, The story was amazing and getting to see where this family was going was perfect. A must read series. Thank you Sandi for giving us this amazing family.
Yes I have read every book in this series and I love every single one of them. Yes The Black family will hold a special place in my heart due to the fact they are a close knit family and stops at no boundaries helping each other.
To read the final book about the Black family brought tears to my eyes. One of my favorite stories by a great author. If haven't read this series you are really missing out!
