This book was so much fun to read. I will continue to shout out loud so everyone can here. I love Laura Ashley Gallagher's writing. The way she writes her characters with emotional maturity is so refreshing. She brings heart hitting topics to her books and balances it out with laugh out loud moments and swoon worthy romance and the romance in this book was so good.
None Of Your Business is the 3rd book in Apparently It's Love series following the youngest Sister Rowan.
Rowan is sarcastic and she has her walls up after years of hiding her pain because she was told it was all in her head. Hudson sees right through it and Rowan chooses to let him in, she trusts him with the most vulnerable parts of herself. It's a beautiful story of acceptance, understanding and patience.
Hudson the man that you are, top tier book husband material. I love his observation, he doesn't miss a thing, the way he is there for Rowan right from beginning. They were strangers and life through them together in an unfortunate way and life kept pushing them towards each other.
The banter between Rowan and Hudson was top tier. This book had me snort laughing. Rowan's inner monologue was hilarious. The girl has a dirty mind, and I am here for it. (Girl same, I'd be thinking about all those things too about Hudson, no shame.)
I love the sister's dynamic, they are are all there to support to each other and Noah, the oldest brother is along for the ride. I'm not sure if Noah will get his own story, but I wouldn't mind learning a little more about him.

This is a stunningly beautiful book.
This may be my favorite book by this author. It felt incredibly real - with smart, mature characters who genuinely and slowly built trust that became an enduring love. It tackles truly difficult subjects but does it with so much kindness and humor. 😘
Rowan ❤️ Hudson
Rowan (26) is a talented artist grappling with a chronic illness. She met Hudson (37), a psychologist, a year ago when he was called to her parent’s house to help her mother during a manic episode. They meet again a yr later and the story takes off from there.
What I adored:
- There is immense emotional honesty between these two. They become each other’s trusted person.
- These two are equals in every sense
- The humor that exists throughout the story. The easy banter, which is sweet instead of snarky.
- Every piece of this story rings true to me
I really don’t have the talent or the words to describe how much I love this author’s writing and how much I adored this story. I just couldn’t put it down. It’s simply a beautiful story of real love. Very little angst between our MCs - just a slow build of trust as they become each others person.

📕I’ve read the other books in the series and I think this story is truly best appreciated after reading the others first. There are family illnesses, relationships and dynamics that cross-over all three books. It could be read as a stand-alone, but I don’t know if it would pack the same emotional punch.
Favorite bits:
- when she wakes up in his bed and has no idea how she got there; and then his description of her telling him how “bendy” she is
- the way she calls him “shrink wrap”
- when she found herself in his couple’s study and was too embarrassed to leave
- when he called her out and she claimed she had a husband (but she was actually referencing her sisters dead neighbor, whom Hudson knew).
- when she notices that he’s upset and takes care of him - helping him get out his emotions out (by throwing paint at his fence) without pressuring him to tell her what was wrong
- the way she is strong but also allows him to “see” her - when she faints and hits her head and he takes her to the hospital and takes care of her
- when he goes to her art show
- the way he’s the only one that she will allow to watch her while she paints
- the way she gives him space to talk about his brother
- ugh. So many, many more

Laura Ashley Gallagher has such a gift for writing characters that are incredibly easy to relate to. Whether it’s through the struggles they’re facing or the emotions they’re dealing with, her characters always feel so deeply human and real.
I absolutely loved Rowan and Hudson’s story. I think this might actually be my favorite story in the series.
I especially connected with Rowan and her feeling that she has to make herself smaller because there simply isn’t room for her to be struggling too when her family life is already such a chaotic mess. That part of her story really resonated with me.
And Hudson? The perfect green flag. 🥹 He’s always there to support her without ever making her feel incapable or diminished. He gives her space to be herself while still being there when she needs him, and I absolutely loved that about him.
Honestly, I loved everything about this book. ❤️

J’ai absolument adoré l’histoire de Rowan et Hudson. Je pense que c’est d’ailleurs mon histoire préférée de la série jusqu’à maintenant.
Je me suis particulièrement reconnue dans Rowan et dans son impression qu’elle doit s’effacer parce qu’il n’y a tout simplement pas de place pour qu’elle puisse, elle aussi, aller mal dans le chaos qu’est sa vie familiale. Cette partie de son histoire m’a particulièrement interpellée.
Et Hudson? Le green flag par excellence. 🥹 Il est toujours là pour la soutenir, sans jamais lui donner l’impression qu’elle est incapable ou qu’elle est diminuée. Il lui laisse l’espace d’être elle-même tout en étant présent lorsqu’elle a besoin de lui, et j’ai absolument adoré ça chez lui.

Laura Ashley Gallagher has done it again. I’ll start by saying her books are always hilarious. The banter between her characters is always top notch, and I could only dream of being that funny. She writes chemistry so well, and I think that banter is a huge part of it. You know these characters will last beyond the page. But the humour and the romance, as incredible as they are, are not the reason I feel that Laura’s books were meant for me. No, that would come down to her raw and real representation of chronic illness.
When I read Celeste’s endometriosis journey in Meet Me in the Dark, I felt more seen than I had ever felt reading a book. Reading Rowan’s story has been like looking in a mirror while reading my own diary. I don’t have Rowan’s illnesses, but our experiences with chronic pain, chronic illness, and the ways in which we have been treated because of them are remarkably similar. To see yourself represented on a page is a special thing but, in instances like this, it’s also bittersweet. The rawness that Laura writes with is one that can only be achieved, I believe, by someone who has lived it. Laura is very open about her experiences and while it is awful that she has to experience them, it is also so reassuring to read her words and know that I am not alone. Laura gets it, Rowan gets it, and that must mean that my experiences are not mine alone. I’ve never been more happy to have never had an original thought or experience!
None of Your Business is a gorgeous love story. Two characters who really shouldn’t want each other have gorgeous chemistry but, more importantly, notice the other. They see so clearly what the other needs and offer it without question or hesitation. Rowan and Hudson are two halves of a whole.
I’d have liked to have spent more time with Hudson’s family, as they seem so dear but, also, Hudson’s own grief can be debilitating and shaped his whole life yet really isn’t touched upon very much. That said, I cried enough reading this book. Maybe I didn’t need to cry any more!

Absolutely 5 stars with no criticisms whatsoever!
I have been looking forward to Rowan and Hudson's story, and it did not disappoint. This book was filled with heartbreak, humor, and so much love. It was definitely a slow burn, but I loved how their relationship felt so organic and grew from a place of friendship. Both of them hold so much inside, and I love watching them open up to each other. Rowan is an absolute badass despite her illness and always feeling like no one sees her or has listened to her. Rowan saw her, and it was just so beautiful. They also have the best banter, and I was laughing from the very beginning and sobbing by the end!
If you love a book with romance but also humor, you can't go wrong with a book from Laura Ashley Gallagher. While her books are funny and spicy, there is also always a seriousness underneath, and she tackles themes of mental health, chronic illnesses, and trauma so beautifully!
None of Your Business is book 3 in the Apparently It's Love series and is now available on KU! While it could be read as a standalone, it would be beneficial to read the first two books to get a better understanding of Rowan's family dynamic. The first two books are about her sisters Madison and Piper, who I also love!

4.5 stars I loved this book I laughed and I cried this book really dug into Rowan and Hudson souls. I love Rowan and Hudson they are my favorite couple in this series they are perfect for each other and really see who the other person is. They are so open with each other and honest even though it hurts. When Hudson was talking about his brother’s death (check your trigger warnings there is mention of suicide) it really hit close to home for me as I lost a family member to suicide and I cried my eyes out. The way Laura wrote Hudson’s pain of losing his brother I felt that and it brought a lot of emotions out of me. Rowan is so strong for dealing with two chronic illnesses and being an artist I am happy with how she was able to tell her family what she has been dealing with since she was 16 was not made up in her head. I felt so bad for her but to see her find her strength in herself and Hudson was so special. Also the difference in families and how they dealt with tragedy was really well written and shows that these situations can either keep a family together or tear them apart. I hope we get Noah’s book next!

Good story
This was slightly different from the usual romance because it refers throughout to chronic illness that Rowan Callaghan suffered from since early childhood. Unfortunately for her, the doctors her parents consulted failed to find the cause of her pain and suggested it was all in her mind.
She decided to leave home at 16 because it was easier to cope with her pain without her family watching and commenting.
She met Dr Hudson Vaughn at her parent’s home when her mother’s behaviour had escalated and she needed help. He was a psychiatrist, a friend of her sister Madison’s fiancé and he irritated her.
But she got to know him and things began to change.
I enjoyed the story, it was a change to read a story where the main characters weren’t perfect specimens but had to cope with debilitating ailments and make adjustments to live comfortably.

There's relief in pain being seen.
I knew from the other two books that Rowan was going to end up being my favorite. I wasn't disappointed. The whole book felt like a love letter to hidden pain being seen. I wasn't expecting to connect with it like I did, but reading a story about someone who was a clumsy wreck, meet someone who believes and sees her knocked open my own struggles and I ended up tearing up multiple times.
I like the way her connection to art and healing was portrayed, even when that was something causing her stress and damage and the way she found a way to own it for herself again.
I like to believe that the best art comes from the rawest emotions. Rowan had that. It felt like the author knew and felt it herself.
On the lighter side, this book also had me kicking my feet and laughing. Absolutely loved it.

Every time I think Laura Ashley’s last release was my favorite, she releases a new book and I am shown once again that anything she writes becomes my new favorite book by her.

I know I say this for every single one of Laura’s books but I adored this!! If she’s writing it, I’m reading it!
Laura has a way of writing characters that you just connect with. You fall in love with them instantly and this book was no different. Rowan and Hudson are just the most beautiful souls!
The humour is always top-tier. It’s clear that Laura is effortlessly hilarious, the humour never feels forced or falls flat. Genuinely sit here giggling into my kindle…the husband thinks I’ve lost it, for sure! The comic relief was needed in this book, with some of the heavier topics. There was more than a few times I found myself reading through tears.
This book was perfection. All the stars!

Genuinely sit here giggling into my kindle…the husband thinks I’ve lost it, for sure! The comic relief was needed in this book, with some of the heavier topics. There was more than a few times I found myself reading through tears.

Wow. WOW. Thank you to the author for sending a free copy of None of Your Business. I was so excited to receive it. I started last night, stayed up late to finish “one more chapter,” and then woke up early to finish it today.
Rowan and Hudson’s story is REAL. The humor and banter had me quietly shaking with laughter well into the night. The representation of chronic physical pain, and mental anguish that goes hand in hand with it, had me crying at 7AM.
Their love story was built on laugh out loud banter, quiet moments of deconstruction, and fearless actions of love. It’s the most well-written romance I have read all year.

As always, the beautiful, flawed and raw humanity of Gallagher's characters is the shining star of this book. Rowan's chronic pain is handled so well, as are the mental health aspects of her family. Hudson is a steady, patient green flag of a man! This book wasn't as funny or as spicy as Madison or Piper's books but it held it's own through the strength of Rowan's character and her unapologetic approach to life.
I really hope Noah gets a book because I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Callahans!

Another wonderfully written book by Laura Ashley Gallagher! This book was different from others I have read from the author. It was more heart-wrenching and deeper (due to the medical diagnosis).
This book was written so well in regards to the medical diagnosis and journey of the FMC. And the MMC was perfect for the FMC! I enjoyed this book and the story.

I was looking forward to this installment in the series and it didn’t disappoint. These characters have actual emotional depth and make sense. I also appreciate that there was actual chemistry shown between the characters through their interactions, rather than the lazy, manufactured over the top lusting that seems to have proliferated in many contemporary romance novels. The representation of chronic illness felt very authentic, and I loved the descriptions of the main character’s artwork.

Laura has quickly become one of my favorite authors, not only because of the witty dialogue and lovable characters, but also because of the representation of so many chronic illnesses that affect way too many people yet still remain invisible. As a fellow EDS girly, reading about Rowan coming to terms with something I still struggle with made me feel seen in a way few books have. Can’t wait to see what else Laura writes!

Lauren Ashely Gallagher doesn’t get nearly enough hype. Her MCs are so captivating and I think this is the best pairing of the series so far. My heart is actually sore from reading this book, but in the best of ways.

Im officially obsessed with Laura and her emotionally mature and secure men. The humor she brings to her stories is great and the depth is so unexpected but greatly appreciated! I have yet to not enjoy myself throughly with her books!

relatable and adorable
As someone with cvEDS, it was really nice to read about a main character with similar struggles. I so related to Rowan’s complex family dynamics and years long struggle to get a diagnosis.
