Natalia - Isolation

Rate this book
Twenty-two year old Natalia is a beautiful young woman, who has lead a very sheltered life. Living on a cliff-top, with only the ocean for miles around, it seemed much easier for her parents to keep their daughter locked up, safe from the outside world. She was home schooled, never left the property and believed she and her parents were the only three people in existence. Natalia didn't know any better and loved painting pictures in a little cave adjacent to the cottage in solitude – That was until a few days ago.

When her parents mysteriously went missing, Natalia was forced to look after herself. Waiting desperately for them to return, she tried to carry on as normal, but then came a problem – Three backpackers heading her way, looking to set up camp....

AN INTENSE STORY OF ONE GIRLS JOURNEY, AS SHE COMES FACE TO FACE WITH HUMAN-BEINGS FOR THE FIRST TIME. THEN ALL THE EMOTIONAL HEARTACHE AND ADAPTING SHE MUST DO, TO SURVIVE THEIR ALIEN LIKE, FRIENDLY VISIT.

Although I follow Jimmy Perrin's comedy, it's nice to see him touch on other genres from time to time, and this one is the perfect example. Natalia the story is well crafted, well written and dare I say it, intensely gripping. HOWEVER, I was enjoying reading her emotional story, until it spun off into an erotic genre half way through. For a book with so much promise and potential, I can only say Jimmy, you've let yourself down here. Stick to the drama you set out to write, then finish it. There's no need to spice things up in the middle like you did, the sex parts weren't needed to make this a wonderful story.
For imagination I award this book an impressive, top star rating of 5.
Natalia the main character, an average 3, seeing she's a little surreal in places.
Then for his writing skills, a 3 again.
Overall verdict – This would have been a top class drama, if it wasn't for the erotic stuck in the middle and the thriller-like end.

My second book from this author and I must say, feel a little disappointed. I heard this book was the writer stepping away from his comedy thing to do another Jennifer, yet it wasn't Jennifer at all.
Yes there were sex senses in the book, yet I don't think they're very strong, and as for the guy abusing Natalia in the bathroom, well that was just vile. Don't get me wrong, hot but vile!!
The story itself is amazing, yet I assumed it was going to be an erotic, yet it turned out to be a weird kind of drama. Worth a read, yet nothing sexually interesting about it.

I know this author writes fiction, but to write something so unrealistic like this, I just don't get it. This wasn't actually a book I thought about reading of his, yet after reading the introduction, it made me want to try it. The idea was simply beautiful, yet in my eyes, the product failed to deliver. It would have been a beautiful story without all the gory sex going's on and personally, I think that's what spoiled it for me.

I have no idea what just happened. One minute I was reading a book, the next it had finished. One minute I was hating Natalia, then I was feeling sorry for her. If you want a book that completely messes around with your head, this one does that perfectly. It was stunned by it's emotion.
Was a HUGE fan of Jimmy perrins comedy, but now I've read this, I want more Drama !!

Natalia is full of intense suspense, which makes you hold your breath whilst reading it over and over again. Gripped my it's many twists, I was hooked by chapter 3. I've heard people say this book is a little too short, yet I feel it was spaced perfectly. Wonderful read and a book I would definitely read again.

Well that was certainly different. Not like any other Jimmy Perrin book I've read before. A well written who done it, who didn't do it and who will do it next. Intense with a wonderful character in Natalia x

I've read 5 books by this author and all have been okay at best. FINALLY a book worthy of a gripping story line and a good rating. Characters well written - Story line, amazing. Would have given this top marks, yet feel the sex senses were over played and weren't needed.

Two stars is believe it or not, generous. Nothing about this book appealed to me, nothing made sense. Who could possibly live this life. It's a poor attempt at a rude book, with simply no foundation. Natalia should have stayed isolated, sorry.
