Unfortunately, this novella was my least favorite of the series.

This is the only one that felt rushed to me. All the other stories were short, self-contained slices of life that told a very specific story. This one, however, was both too much and too little.

I’ll explain!

Caleb goes into a sudden heat at his summer job. Beau, his bff Alpha cabin-mate, takes care of him and they do have sex, but for the most part, Caleb powers through his heat alone. He chooses to take pain killers and continue with his summer job. Beau goes along with the plan and even spends a night away from the cabin. I just didn’t like it. It was cutesy and lovey dovey but also not?

This is the last in the series and I’m a bit bummed that it was the only one I didn’t actually like.

I have so far not given a novella a 5 stars yet because I always feel like something is lacking a tiny bit BUT HOLY SHIT! I swear there is something in these book because my god am I entirely addicted!!! I could not get enough of this and FUCK do I LOVE LOVE LOVE when it’s not a one sides crush for years and all the sudden the other one is now in love too but they BOTH HAVE CRUSHES ON EACH OTHER FOR YEARS!! WOW WAS THIS A GOOD BOOk!

This short best friend to lovers read is the sweetest. Caleb and Beau is pining for each other in silence, but when Caleb's heat take them both by surprise their relationship changes. I love best friends to lovers. There is such a strong fundament to build a new lasting relationship on. This is a spicy alpha and omega read without mpreg and non shifting.

Loved this BFF to forever story. It’s very short and only cover the unexpected heat that Caleb goes into while their working at sunflower farm over the summer but it covers all the longing and love that best friends who secretly want more suffer through.
