Inked in Brotherhood: The Men of Poughkeepsie

Rate this book
Three Boys. One Vow.

Blake, Beckett and Cole aren’t related. The only blood they share is what’s traded between them on their foster father’s fists. Every night, they make the choice to take the hits so the little kids in the home don’t have to.

The boys are just months from graduating and being sent into the cold, hard world. Beckett is intent on becoming the scariest man in town. Because protecting his brothers means doing the unforgivable. He certainly has no time to fall for the new girl. Rich, untouchable Candy proves to be everything he’ll never deserve.

Loving Candy could destroy his delicate found family forever.

Wow!
This was such a powerful book full of raw emotions and angst.
Set against a horrendous and cruel background, the sense of found family and brotherhood shone through.
I loved how the characters were presented and despite their day-to-day struggle to survive, there were moments of levity and hope.
My heart was rooting for Blake, Cole and the dark angel that is Beckett from the get-go.
