Maggie West is the author of the Antique Pickers in Paradise cozy mystery series and the Lily Thistle cozy mystery series, the Doorways to the Past time travel series, and several romance books. When she's not reading or writing, she loves to craft and sew, keep her kitten out of trouble (oh boy, good luck with that!), and take walks where she dreams up new stories.

Too short to be a short story. And he didn't cheat. But he thought about his ex way too much after he saw her again. One tiny little flashback that repulsed me but there were no explicit scenes of anything. Just say No.

I love quick, well written reads I can devour during my lunch break. This sweet story highlights the power of the mind and how it can play tricks on us; especially in relationships.
The story moves well and I am glad there was a happy ending.
The chapter excerpt from the next book has me wanting more. Please hurry it up.
An old flame, cheater and seductress comes to town with Jake in mind to make him a re-notch on her bed post.Although disturbing that he laments on their past chemistry and her hotness, unless we decide we are the thought police his girlfriend has nothing to be concerned about. Moreover, we then all would be guilty as sin! This story is a novella, but ludicrously goes from zero to sixty with an oddly situated and hardly supported finale! Due to the storyline skipping a considerable number of steps to reach said conclusion, any conclusion for that matter,I rate 2.5 stars.Could have been so much better less the speedy ,unrealistic resolution.
Seduction in Riverside by Maggie West and Bella Jayne is a short romance that grabs your attention from the very first page.
Callie and Luke have both had bad relationships in the past, trust is an issue for each of them. But, they have appeared to have gotten past the heartache and heartbreaks of their previous partnerships and are giving love and relationships another try.. All is going great until Callie sees Luke in town with another woman, who is stepping out of his truck ... The hurt feelings come rushing back from the past for Callie and she must decide what to do about this other woman's obvious attraction to Luke.
For a very short read, the characters were well developed and the story was paced rather nicely. I finished the book in one sitting and felt myself quickly read to find out what would happen next. I liked how the ending did not leave loose ends untied and the story was wrapped up to a satisfying ending. All in all a very good romance novella.
I would recommend this to young adults (18 +) and older due to a bit of profanity and a few spicy romantic scenes.
Luke chose to take the long way home so that he had the chance to think about how, and what, he’d say to Callie about Victoria. The only part he was certain about was that he was sorry. He knew she needed to hear those words, and he knew that she deserved to hear them. Women apparently needed details. It confused the hell out of him, but if she needed to know that he and Victoria were a couple once upon a time, he’d tell her about it and answer her questions the best he could.
