Emma, Liam, and the band are back in L.A. as the pressure builds.
“Happily ever after” was never going to be simple. Fresh off a whirlwind New York press tour and riding the high of a new relationship, Emma faces a storm on the horizon, a chart-topping sixth album (Revelations), Liam’s spotlight-stealing solo collaborations, and her own tell-all interview looming. And the storm that’s been building for over four years is finally ready to break.
The Hartgrave Tellers are charging ahead at full speed. No brakes. But when Emma’s home is broken into after a party, and two of her closest friends from the Heartbreakers era suddenly go missing, everything begins to splinter.
As Emma, Cara, and Marcus dig into the past in search of answers, long-buried secrets claw their way to the surface. Old loyalties fracture. Trust erodes. And Liam finds himself pulled into a ruthless boardroom game of chess with all the major players. The band that has survived every storm is staring down its most dangerous one yet.
Everything comes to a head, pushing them right to the edge.
I’ve always been a storyteller at heart. From writing poetry that found its way onto websites to crafting articles, editing, and even working as a publishing manager for a children’s book company. I’ve had my hands in words for a while.
When I’m not writing, you can find me designing, painting, singing, or lost in a superhero movie marathon (because yes, I’m a geek girl through and through). Nothing beats a night of writing with my favourite playlist on repeat.
Close Enough To Break by Aya Winter continues The Hartgrave Tellers Legacy Series with even deeper emotional intensity and character development. This installment dives further into vulnerability, pressure, and the fragile line between holding on and completely falling apart.
What makes this book stand out is how raw and real the emotions feel. The characters are pushed to their limits, and their struggles with trust, pain, and personal growth are portrayed with honesty and depth. Every interaction carries weight, making the emotional stakes feel incredibly high.
The romance is layered and complex, shaped by past wounds and present challenges. Rather than being simple, it evolves through tension, miscommunication, and moments of genuine connection, which makes it feel authentic.
Overall, Close Enough To Break is a powerful continuation that explores what happens when emotions reach their peak—and whether love is strong enough to survive it.
WOW… I cannot believe how much I enjoyed this novel and the entire series so far. I also cannot believe that I to wait until 2027 for the next in the series. What a wonder engaging story and it is in the favorite genre, Rockstar. Finally Liam and Emma get together and the outside world along with their insecurities are keeping them from really loving each other. Thank you BookSirens the advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is another good read. I am hooked on this series and can't wait for the next book. I received an advance review copy from BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
