This was probably closer to a 3.5 for me, but I rounded up because I genuinely had such a good time reading it. I devoured it in one day, which honestly says a lot.

It was cute, spicy, and full of banter, and the relationship was definitely the highlight for me. This is a great quick romance read that still has enough character development to keep things interesting without becoming overly complicated or crowded with unnecessary side plots.

I’d definitely recommend picking this up if you’re looking for a fun summer romance with a taboo relationship, a doting MMC who will do anything to get and keep his girl, supportive friends, plenty of spice, and an FMC who is figuring out life one sex toy at a time.

A few little thoughts I had while reading:

1. Did Paige’s dad know about prenups? Because I have questions 😂

2. And possibly my biggest question: the finances 😂 How much is Paige making? How much has Ryan saved? Are there inheritances involved?

3. My one bigger critique is that I found Paige’s storyline to be the least interesting part of the book. I would have loved a little more depth there, whether that meant exploring some of her trauma and experiences more fully or giving her a slightly more layered personal journey. I also think a little more plot development could have made an already enjoyable story even stronger.

Overall, though, this was a genuinely fun, fast read with a romance that kept me turning the pages, and I’m really glad I got the chance to read it early! 💕

Let me start off by saying you will be laughing so hard throughout this book. Mostly because Paige (FMC) is very shy and awkward and everything embarrassing that you can think of happens to this poor woman 😂

Paige, is a writer that has lost her inspiration. Her twin sister and sister in law decide to help Paige gain some inspiration by sending her a string of “special deliveries” 😂
This is how we meet Ryan, our MMC. Ryan is the delivery driver.

Later Paige and Ryan meet again, but only to find out that Paige’s dad is going to marry Ryan’s mom.

I read more than half the book in one sitting because it was so hilarious but also amazing story telling by the author. The plot was very engaging. But, there is a third act break up that I wasn’t a big fan of. I’m actually one of those people who really enjoy reading third act break ups, I just didn’t enjoy this one. I won’t go into too much detail because I don’t want to spoil it. But that is when I decided to take a little break from the book. I picked it up two days later and enjoyed the rest of the book. The ending was perfect for these characters.

I would definitely recommend this book if you want a good laugh with a great story behind it.

This was my first introduction to a Nadia Neale book but it absolutely won’t be my last. Yes, it’s a rom-com with a happy ending but it’s not cheesy in any way. I appreciated that all of the side characters are actually fleshed out really well with their own stories and not purely there as plot devices. I’ll also add that if you have a praise kink, then this book is PERFECT for you. Even though it’s a rom-com, it’s still filled with lots spicy scenes that are some of the best written I’ve encountered in a while.

This book definitely gets 5/5🌶️ in the spice department and 5/5 from me for having a well thought out plot without being repetitive or cheesy while still hitting the components of rom-coms that we all love. Easily one of my favorite reads this year!

A contemporary romance about a delivery driver and a girl who ends up connected in an unexpected way.

I absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t put it down.

The MMC and FMC are so relatable and real. I could see them in my mind and the story playing out in both expected and unexpected ways. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts and pulls you in. I was literally laughing out loud and crying in parts. This story definitely connected with me. The story and characters are built up perfectly and don’t leave you disappointed.

Readers who love Kristin Proby and T L Swan would love this book.

This book had me in stitches. The unfortunate circumstances in which the MC’s meet was hilarious. I could feel Paige’s shame & Ryan’s smugness through the screen.

They both found each other hot, but then to find out they were about to be step siblings 😱

With Paige’s previous relationship ending the way it did, it’s completely understandable why she has trust issues. But Ryan is the kinda guy who sees the walls around her heart & decides he’s going to knock them down - & he’s not taking no for an answer.

With trust issues galore for Paige, it’s no easy feat. But maybe, just maybe, Ryan is the cure - just as she’s the cure for him.

Sweet, funny, spicy and heartwarming. The perfect combo that had me saying “Just one more chapter” until I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. The story flows at a great pace, the characters all fit together well and I love the dynamic of the two families coming together as well as Ryan’s relationship with his friends. There were some genuinely heartwarming moments amongst the banter and spice and it was great to see Paige grow and overcome her trauma. Ryan is an amazing MMC, patient, kind, understanding, funny and just the right amount of dominant when he needs to be!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one in the series.

This book was so good. I absolutely love Ryan and Paige together. I could not stop laughing throughout this book especially with the way they meet. I love that there was drama in this book and the way it worked all out in the end. I am so excited for the next book, especially knowing who it’s about because I absolutely love the friend group. I don’t know how I’m supposed to wait for the next book because I need book 2 now.

What an amazing book! It was such a quick read—not because it was short, but because I genuinely couldn’t put it down. The characters are incredibly relatable, especially because life LOVES to throw unexpected missteps and misfortune our way. What I appreciated most was how the story showed that getting back up, moving forward, and finding your way again can look different for everyone.

I loved the storyline, the characters, and the pacing from beginning to end. It was engaging, heartfelt, and such an enjoyable read. Highly recommend!

This is a fun, quick rom-com read! Ryan and Paige make a great couple. I admire Paige and her efforts to finally step out and start living again after heartbreak. It’s a nice reminder that we have more opportunities to find happiness if we just learn to trust ourselves again. Ryan’s devotion is so beautiful. He wants nothing more than to make Paige happy and be beside her. This one is worth the read!

I absolutely devoured this book! It is so sexy and cute, I fell in love immediately. The story picks up right away with the most awkward and hilarious encounter, I gasped for the poor girl but at the same time was so giddy.
Then the story gets deeper as you learn more about them and their pasts, and even deeper when their proximity gets forced together in the most adorable way ever.
10/10, 5 gold stars. Highly recommend.

I usually do not like rom-coms however I absolutely loved this book! I enjoyed the writing style the most. Plot is amazing, I love how the characters go back and forth so easily. I have read many books where they switch the characters each chapter, but always the story seems off. Like I am missing things. However this book did not disappoint at all! I have NEVER finished a book so fast in my life!

I adored this fun romcom, like I have other books by this author. Our FMC, Paige, is sweet, relatable, and funny, too. Ryan, our MMC is charming, thoughtful, and likable, as well. I loved the pace of the story, the banter, and the charming personalities of the characters. This was absolutely the perfect read for the impromptu road trip we took.
