Fallen Rites: A Dark Paranormal Reverse Harem
For centuries, I ruled on blood and obedience.
When my pantheon dragged me from my throne, they called it justice.
I call it betrayal.
Now I’m trapped in the body of a 21 year-old, low-level witch with magic incompatible with this realm, and I’m SilverGate Academy’s newest anamoly case.
But SilverGate is built over old doors, and I only need the right one to open with the right ritual.
Unfortunately my quest has attracted attention from three of SilverGate’s most dangerous creatures
Hale: the hellhound who scents I’m not who everyone thinks I am.
Tobin: the witch prodigy who knows my spells aren’t failing because I’m powerless.
Leith: the reaper who looks at my soul and sees who I used to be.
They say they’ll help me find a way back to my realm for a price. I don’t care. I’ll pay it, because I didn’t lose my throne because I was weak.
I lost it because it took an entire pantheon to make me kneel, and the gods know it won’t happen again.

SilverGate will always have a special place in my heart, so I was thrilled that this story started there instead of following the usual dark academy formula. Beginning with Asha’s banishment immediately pulled me in, and I couldn’t wait to see where her journey would take her.
The characters were one of my favorite parts of the book. Tobin’s attitude toward Asha definitely had me raising an eyebrow, especially since everyone assumes she’s just a low-level witch. Hale quickly became someone I wanted more of because I loved every interaction he had with Asha, while Leith’s calm demeanor balanced the group nicely. Asha herself isn’t the easiest FMC to warm up to at first because she’s blunt and guarded, but considering everything she’s been through, her reactions felt understandable.
I really enjoyed watching Asha grow throughout the story. Seeing her relationships evolve made the romance feel earned instead of rushed. Overall, I had a great time with this book and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.

If you love powerful heroines, multiple love interests, and a plot that feels like it’s one bad decision away from total destruction, Fallen Rites, Exiled Legacy, SilverGate Academy by Eve Newton is for you.
Absolute chaos in the best way. This first book throws you headfirst into the story of a Asha, once-powerful goddess who’s been banished, stripped of everything, and dumped into a completely different realm… and an entirely different body. Watching her navigate unfamiliar limitations while still carrying that divine-level attitude is both hilarious and feral.
Every interaction with Hale, Leith, and Tobin feels like it could either spark a war or a romance (or both), and honestly, that unpredictability is what makes it so addictive. It’s messy, dramatic, magical, and sets up the trilogy with just enough answers to hook you and just enough chaos to leave you spiraling.

We’re back at SilverGate, and our FMC is not happy to be here. She is trapped in a too small body, with too small power, in a place where she can’t say her own name! The indignity of it all! Someone is going to pay in a very drawn out, painful way when she gets home. And she WILL get home, SilverGate is quite keen to help her with that.
Tobin is an arrogant… yeah, and he needs to be brought down a peg or two (or 2000) and Asha is just the girl to do it.
Hale is very protective of Asha pretty much from the get go.
Leith is the cool, calm, level headed guy who has his ways of getting around wards to get in to places he’s not supposed to be. Very useful when what you need is restricted even from most staff members!
They have the help of one very infuriating book, who turns up when it feels like it and lets them know only what it wants them to know and nothing more. More knowledge required? Tough! Go and find it out yourself.
This is going to be an interesting ride. Can’t wait to see how this one plays out.

Asha (FMC) was an absolute riot in this book with all of the wit, sarcasm and all of the threats to others. All of which came to thr forefront when she crash landed (quite literally) in Silvergate Academy. As a Goddess in the wrong body trying to find her feet and her place between 3 guys (Hale, Tobin & Leith). I loved their banter and one liners together. They had me cracking up. This was a great start to this trilogy and that cliff-hanger ending was just epic.

🌶️🌶️/5 spice (interesting-ish read)

This was a cool take on Goddesses and all things magic. It did take me several days to read which is surprising since it’s only like 300 pages, but it was slightly boring honestly. This books timeline is within 3 days which makes the fact that genuinely not much actually happened impressive. You get insta-lust, unique magic, a sentient building, a scorned & vicious FMC, and several other would-be interesting characters who are glossed over quickly. Sounds mostly very interesting right?? I thought so too, but it’s just not executed very well. Nothing was really fully explored further than occasionally repeating the same things that actually didn’t add any sort of depth to anything. The minimal spice scenes we get are truly deliciously written though! I also really enjoyed the banter between everyone for the most part. Several things definitely gave me the ick though. My biggest con with the MMC’s is that they weren’t written differently enough to be able to tell apart if their ability or physical description wasn’t being used. They all said the same type of “quirky” phrases which could have been used as a way to establish a basic form of personality that wouldn’t have even required much effort at all. Other reviews mentioned that FMC should have been nicer/less confrontational, but honestly - did you miss the entire plot?? The FMC is LIVID! She’s tossed into a situation that takes her from top bitch to little bitch. She was betrayed! Not to mention all the freaking context clues indicating she comes from essentially a version of hell and is plopped into basically another version of hell. Sure, maybe her vicious attitude drew attention faster, but 1. The most powerful students there suffered from insta-lust and immediately were all over her unashamed and 2. If she were nice or sweet or even only quiet and expressionless paired with the immediately discovered fact she is very very low powered in this elites only school she would have immediately been taken out for sure. Then what were we supposed to read?! How would it make sense to you that a queen of some sort of demonic realm who we first meet mid vicious battle btw would have the ability to pretend to be nice and sweet FRESHLY after being betrayed, hurt, and then shoved into a vessel that she physically feels like is about to shred apart or able to even properly use? I’d be a raging bitch too.
I looked at the authors profile and I seem to have a habit of frequently getting drawn into her books, but can’t seem to ever make it to or finish the second books of several of her series that sucked me in. I hope this series ends up being one I can actually mark as complete once she finishes it.
**not to plug another authors book in a review for a different author, BUT if you liked the scenes in this that briefly touch on a sentient library with a ghost librarian you would probably really like The Arcanaeum series (Liminal is book 1) it’s a RH that gets spicier as the series goes on and the FMC is the librarian!!

Great read 👍
I loved the storyline and the Multi-POVs were perfect. The MMCs were hot and likeable. Asha/ Anaxandra did annoy me a bit with her attitude. I was not a fan at of the amount of arrogance that she had. Don't get me wrong, all of the MMCs possess a lot of arrogance as well, but Asha's was on a whole different level. The whole not caring about anyone but herself got a little old. Thankfully, that is starting to change. For the most part, I enjoyed her character. The Spice was deliciously detailed 🌶🌶🌶🌶. There was some good dry humor in the book that I enjoyed. The bathroom scene where she tells the shower "I love you" made me laugh. I was not expecting the revelation at the end or more accurately at the very beginning of the next book. In total, I enjoyed Fallen Rites. I would definitely recommend this book.

What’s not to love about a goddess?
Maybe a goddess who literally lands in a place she least expected, in a body she didn’t even know!!
The humor is top tier but the spice, the spice keeps you craving the banter and plot!
As the story unfolds, secrets exposed, and your left with one question. HOW DOES IT END?
Well in true Eve fashion you will never know how it truly ends, until the end finds you. Until then sit back and prepare your self for Silvergate! A place where even the secrets, have secrets of their own. Where Goddesses rediscover them selves, and three men discover just how far they can really be pushed for a woman they desire and crave!!

I quite enjoyed this one
Asha is my favourite villain non villain heroine this year. Yeah I know, but if you read the book you will understand.
I've been grumbling a lot about heroines being written to be too caustic and unbearable. Literally killing the whole book because they are horrible. Asha took a baseball bat and hit a homerun.
I actually laughed at her angry.
Never thought I'd want a murderous character to get their power back. Colour me surprised.
I recommend this one. Don't hold me to it though, we all know the second books in a series easily tank. Just saying !!!.

This is the 1st book in a new academy series. Asha is ambushed by 6 of her fellow God's and she's evicted from her realm, landing in a new body in Silvergate. Here she meets Tobin, Hale and Leith.
Asha is Uber sassy, violent and slightly unhinged, with an ego the size of Texas. She doesn't have access to her magic in this realm, so a lot of her threats don't land the same. The relationship between the 3 develops at the right kind of pace, and the story is well written. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I fell rite for this book!
Asha a powerful goddess that all the gods wanted gone (Typical men can't handle a woman in power). It took all of them to get her out of her realm, but what they didn’t know was SilverGate was there waiting with open hands...well claws. There Asha has a new body, but her magic is too much and can't get out.
Asha attracts attention from three powerful men Leith, Hale and Tobin, that end up wanting to help her, but only at a cost. But will it be a cost for her or them?

Bout time we return to SilverGate! This has been a ride from page one. I love how the FMC hasn't changed since the first chapter...unless you mean IYKYK. (Gotta read it to understand)
I wish we could make a poll on which MMC is the best in this book, but that would beat the purpose on a reverse harem. (But if we would) Who would you choose? So far my favorite is Leith but Hale is a close second!
This has been a fantastic read and I can't wait to see what this author has up her sleeve for this world!
PS I NEED A NOVELLA OR SOMETHING FOR BLACKRIDGE!!!! I'll even take a extra epilogue!!

So good. This is the first book in the Silver Gate Academy and right off the bat I was sucked into this story. Loved reading about Asha. Asha just happens to be a goddess who is now in a different body. That itself drew me right in. Storyline was so so good. Loving how this plot is going.
Let’s not forget Hale, Keith and Tobin. Because I definitely will not forget about them. Looking forward to the next book. I desperately need it.

Fallen Rites
This book starts out with a takeover, a body snatch, and a goddess who just wants back to her throne. What more could you want? Asha finds herself in a different body, no access to her magic and no clue where she is or how to get back where she came from. Better yet, why is she drawn to these annoying males? This book is fast-paced and full of action. It will suck you right in

I really enjoyed Fallen Rites. It has a good mix of action, romance, and magic, and I never got bored. The characters are easy to care about, and I liked seeing their relationships grow throughout the story. There were a few surprises that kept me interested, and I already want to know what happens next. If you like paranormal reverse harem books with a strong female lead, I'd definitely recommend it.

Captivating paranormal that will grab you from the first page and spits you out at the last
I don't know how to tell you politely to "just blooming read it" enough to make you do it.
Seriously the storyline has been 500 years in the making and it has been worth it!
Asha needs to get home, she needs to lay low and behave but she's Asha... She's never gonna behave!

Gah!!! This book was fantastic! Asha is bottled up fury and you can feel her anger at what constrains her. Tobin, Hale and Leith are instantly drawn to her and I enjoy the banter between them. This book is full of action, passion and I can not wait to see what happpens next!

Nothing like being dethroned from your realm and landing in a new, fragile body at SilverGate Academy. Three powerful, dangerous men take notice and with their help you just might get your throne back.
Fallen Rites is a dark paranormal RH, with spice and multiple POV.

Rating: 3.5 stars. A good book for passing time, with complex plot, but could've been better, characters who are all about the entertainment and gore, and a gothic vibe ready for fall. Interesting story.

This is kinda like her other books. I get the idea each one is set in another dimension and they are all connected. Curious how this one is!
