After finishing the first book, I was left with quite a few questions. One of them being "Where is Murdock?!"
This book definitely answered a lot of things I was curious about. AND I LOVED IT!!!
While the second book has a large time jump from the first book, this one follows the events that take place at the end of the first book. We learn about Murdock and all the things he has gone through.
And in my opinion, Elspeth gets her redemption arc.
I absolutely loved watching these two characters get close to one another. They were so good for each other.

This was good! The moments of what on earth is going to happen and did this really just happen are so real! The connection that they have is real and one that will be used. This was one that will need to be on your TBR.

Hands down best book of the series. I loved getting a deeper look at Murdock, and ok, maybe I like Elspeth too.
