A collection of supernatural tales features the writings of Larry Niven, Poul Anderson, and others, and places readers in alternate histories, outer space, and ancient lands, in which werewolves are a commonplace threat. Original.
This book of science fiction stories featuring lycanthropy appeared as a companion volume a year after Tomorrow Sucks examined vampirism. I didn't think it had quite the bite of the initial volume (sorry), but it was a fun concept and did have some good stories. I liked Frontier of the Dark by A. Bertram Chandler, A Midwinter's Tale by Michael Swanwick, A Prophecy of Monsters by Clark Ashton Smith, The Hero as Werwolf by Gene Wolfe (!), and most especially There's a Wolf in My Time Machine by Larry Niven. Who says sf and horror don't play well together?
