What more can I say about these two that I haven't already?
I've been following Kim and Eric for at least 10 years. When I was searching for something new and unique to add to my photography skills, I stumbled across one of their YouTube videos. I was immediately captivated. Here were two creatives using simple plastic tubes with flashlights attached, literally painting with light behind their subjects—and doing it with incredible composition, color balance, creativity, and precision, without even needing to be behind the camera.
At the time, I already had a good understanding of long exposures and light painting, but this completely blew my mind. I had to try it for myself.
That experiment eventually led me to connecting with local models, makeup artists, hair stylists, and other creatives and creating my own forms of light painting. It opened an entirely new door for me, and I loved every minute of it.
To say Eric and Kim helped me find the magic of photography again would be an understatement. They reignited the flame—and then poured gasoline on it!
After following their work and watching their skills evolve over the years, I was thrilled to discover that they had finally put their own book together. I couldn't resist picking it up to see what tips, techniques, stories, and creative inspiration they had packed inside.
I wasn't disappointed.
Page after page reminded me of exactly why I've followed them for so long: their creativity, their willingness to explore, their adventures, the people they've met along the way, the trial and error, and that incredible excitement of finally capturing THE SHOT.
