After reading Euphoria by Erin Noelle, the only thing that kept running through my mind was:
And now that I've read Alive, I'm thinking it even more. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT WHEN YOU COULD HAVE ENDED IT THIS WAY
It was nice to get to see my Ash <3 I'll come back and read some of the other stories I'm sure as I read the other books. Euphoria is the only one I've read at this time.

5 I only read the RIVER SAVAGE story STARS

What a trip. Ever thought about what would happen when your favourite book took a completely different route?
Well, now I know. Consider my mind blown! AWESOME!
Some of you might remember that Incandescent was one of my favourite biker reads of 2014. Paradox is basically a re-write, but with a twist.
Same characters, but different. Same situations, but different. Nix is for all intents and purposes bad and his club is not on the clean path. It's a very interesting read, that goes into the action part a lot faster (it's a lot shorter as well), skips a lot of the smooth sailing we got in Incandescent and delivers some wonderful chemistry between the main characters.
I'm almost inclined to say I like this little cluster fuck a bit better than the original story. At least I can now decide between re-reading a more fluffy and a more edgy look on a great story. Either way, thank god for the second twist at the end.

Lets face it, there are moments at some point in our life, where we would question and ponder the WHAT IF scenarios... What if...I married the wrong person? What if... I chosen this path? What if...this person is not the one? And in Twisted Course by Aly Martinez, the biggest WHAT IF scenario is: What if Sarah had died instead of Manda? If you read Stolen Course, what if Caleb's Manda didn't die? Would Caleb be married to Manda? Would Emma Erickson still be in the picture? Would Caleb's world be a vibrant shade of orange or a different shade of color??
Wow....the what if scenario that Aly presented in Twisted Course was raw, poignant and emotional. Aly has once again managed to make her readers feel the many range of emotions and vulnerability of her characters. Regardless of whether if Sarah or Manda had died, the course of Brett, Sarah, Manda, Caleb, and Casey changed that fatal night. No one will be left the same regardless of who died. Someone lived and someone died. On that fatal night everyone's course was BROKEN, STOLEN and TWISTED.
I honestly loved this wicked idea that Aly and these author's came up with. I loved that Aly presented us this option and allowed us to see the possibilities of what if... Aly did an amazing job with her spellbinding writing and story telling. All I got to say is go one-click this anthology and ponder the idea WHAT IF .... I really don't want to spoil you if Caleb ends up with Manda or Emma because this book must be read and experienced. So what course awaits for Caleb?

What If I never had the courage to finish solid freaking 5 stars.

Twisted Course by Aly Martinez
Honestly I did NOT want to read this book because Caleb Jones has always been my favorite book boyfriend and I irrevocably fell in love with him with Stolen Course. Over the course of of reading all the books in the series I've come to flove each character. Yes I love Sarah too even after what she almost did to Jesse and Brett but that's another story. I even told Aly how much I would hate reading this but SHE IS AN AMAZING writer. She made me love Twisted Course.
What If things didn't really happen the way it already transpired and with that she opened up a can of emotions, hurts, twisted around and hissing in pain. While I was reading the first chapter, my eyes got teary and my heart clenched tightly. Then as I read on and I need to grab a tissue to stop the tears from clouding my view.
The part when they all move to Savannah and the silly names Danika and Regina Phalange had me grabbing my pillow and crying hard. We all have friends who make our world brighter and better. Someone who always has our back, we learned about the friendship between Manda and Sarah and so it hurts that much more to read it from a totally different angle. Although I will be honest I did not want to read Manda's story, because I loved each and every other character with the exception of Casey and Eli and so I was hell bent on not letting Manda have a piece of my heart. But Aly managed to shatter the gate open with her words and emotions.
I was left helpless to fight Manda. It was heartbreaking to watch Caleb struggle with Manda's situation, how do you help the love of your life survive the loss so great. At some points I wanted to grab her and shake some sense in her. I wasn't able to read some parts because that seemed a betrayal to characters I loved but I must admit it was damn hot. And the ending, holy Batman in heaven, the ending left me laughing and crying and wanting to grab Aly and hug her tight for making me this book even more. I hated to read this little version of What If but I left with Manda taking a place in my heart forever.

What a brilliant idea!!! I was all over this one, especially knowing I'd be donating to charity. This review is for Lure by M. Mabie and Twisted Course by Aly Martinez. Both of these stories get 5 shiny stars from me! LOVED THEM!!!
My first review is for Lure by M. Mablie. Please make sure you read Bait first!
Lure gives you a peek at the "What If" things had gone differently for Casey and Blake and I freakin devoured it. These two characters get my heart racing and my blood pumping and I can't get enough. I don't want to give anything away because if you haven't read Bait, I'd ruin it for you. Just know that this is a MUST READ and you will love every word.

"I've loved you since the moment we met, I think."

I needed this so badly. It was like giving me a huge bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream, MY FAVORITE, while I"m on a diet. I couldn't resist. FANFREAKINTASTIC!!!! Don't miss it!!!
Next is Twisted Course by Aly Martinez. If you haven't read the books in the Wrecked and Ruined series, what are you waiting for?!!! Talk about not being able to put down your kindle! Caleb. OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU!!! Aly gives you such a twist in this one and really delves into the "What If" of these characters' lives. My heart hurt so many times and I just wanted to squeeze Caleb (and Brett too), and never let him go. This one truly gives meaning to the words, "We make plans and God laughs." You think your life is heading in one direction and things never go according to plan. They head way off course. Aly gave us a phenomenal story, make sure you grab it!!! LOVED IT!!!

It's worth it to get this anthology for Paradox alone, if you're a River Savage fan! My review is based on this story-I will update as I read the others.
5 #NixFix Stars for Paradox!
I was completely and utterly captivated by Nix Knight when I first met him in Incandescent...he was everything I could ever want in an mc bbf so I was very nervous going into this story, I didn't want to hate him!
What If...what if Nix hadn't made the choices he did for the Knights Rebels? What if...he had gone down a different path? What if...?
Paradox takes everything you read about in Incadescent and turns your world upside down. Even though I knew it was "what if" and it wouldn't change the real story, I was still anxious and on edge as I was reading...WTF have you done River?!?
What a difference a few words and descriptions can make in how you perceive someone...
Nix is still the dirty-talking biker I fell in love with, with just a harder and grittier edge. But I can't say the same for a few others in this story...I may have a hard time at looking at a couple of the Rebels the same way after this!
This is such an interesting concept for a collection of books, I'm looking forward to reading the others, once I read the originals!

So far I have only read one of the stories in this anthology.
Paradox by River Savage: I have been a fan of River Savage from the first couple of pages into Incandescent but I am telling EVERYONE now, this woman is a genius!!!!!
If you have already read River’s books (especially Incandescent) Paradox is going to screw with your mind in the very best way. If you haven’t, well not only are you missing out on THE BEST DEBUT NOVEL of 2014 but this book with have you “running”, not “walking” to Amazon to snap them right up!!!! I’m not going to go into any details in this review as I don’t want to give anything away. I’m just going to say, this book alone is worth the price of the anthology!!!!

This review is for Twisted Course ONLY! I received an ARC of this novella for an honest review.
Aly did it again though. She took a heart wrenching story, twisted it with all of the what-if's and tore my eart out all over again! This author has a way with words and bringing out emotions. I'm glad that I read this book at home. It was a tear jerker. She added just the right amount of torture for her characters.
Reading this novella from the point of view of Caleb and all that he goes through with Manda. Just wow. You'll definitely want to read it!

I read the story by Aly Martinez, Twisted Course. I wasn't sure what to expect, to be honest I hadn't really ever thought "What if Manda hadn't been the one to die??" I loved the other books so much and didn't really want to ponder a different ending! I should never have thought that! I loved seeing this story from a whole new perspective. If you haven't read the series "Wrecked and Ruined" yet I would highly suggest starting it=) I would also HIGHLY recommend her new series "On the Ropes", it was very entertaining!!!

I was so confused by this.
On one hand yeah what they did was clever, but on the other, if it aint broke, dont fix it. But hey I read it anyway.
SOME of the stories were GREAT, so very creative and well written.
OTHERS made me wish I bought a portion of chips with my 99p, not this book.
I was initially drawn to this for River and Chelle and there was another Author who's name I cant think of right now whose story I really enjoyed. The rest, where just, MEH!

I was so very lucky to receive an Arc of Paradox by River Savage.
I loved this novella. Nix and Kadence are still the same characters, but roles are different. I am not going to spoil but jeez... I loved this story, all about what if and a different path, one where bad choices could have changed Nix and Kadence's lives. Just brilliant!
I will post a full review when I read all the stories.

Delusion by Author Chelle Bliss
This one was okay. Only daughter, four older brothers, tattoo shop, you get the picture. I felt the MC used cuss words for shock value so her dialogue felt a bit fake or forced but the chemistry was written very well. And the male MC was a decent guy, for an alpha dominant.
Lure by Author M. Mabie
This one was very different than the rest of the stories. It was about a couple that loved each other but she was marrying someone else. It was pretty cool. The emotions were there. I felt for the woman, at the wedding being asked to follow her heart instead of her head.
Twisted Course by Aly Martinez
This one was real painful to read. I cried. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Interestingly enough I hated the female MC, I found her to be an asshole. The male MC was trying, but it was never enough for her. I loved the ending. That needed to happen. I don’t want to read the corresponding book to this because I liked the ending so much. And it was not predictable.

Didn’t read this one because of the authors note: It was written as an alternate ending to book three in this series. And since I never read any of those books, I skipped it. And I will say that I was disappointed in that because who puts an alternate ending to a book 3 in an anthology? I don’t think that is the way to catch new readers.
Paradox by River Savage Author
This one was run of the mill MC club likes woman, kidnaps her for his own personal use, she gets Stockholm syndrome and it ends up biting her in the ass in the end. Except the ending threw me on this one. And the emotions in this one were written good. The male MC seemed to genuinely care even though he couldn’t really express it since he was in a motorcycle club and ya know, they have to be all hard all the time.

This one was decent. Rock star falls for other rock star but they are too cool to express themselves emotionally so they cover it up with casual sex. But then the end really throws you and I found it to be inconsistent with the whole story. It was like it was thrown in as afterthought.

Okay this one was sad and I liked it a lot. I really felt her grief in this. I was way off base on the story line too, which was a huge plus for me. I think that Tate was a bit too mean for my tastes but I think that had to do with the fact the whole story was from Missy’s POV so we never got into his brain.

I totally felt for the female MC in this one. And I would have chosen the same path as she did. It was unfortunate and seemed wrong but what else could she do? She wasn’t meant to follow that path. It’s about a wedding that starts out great but goes downhill fast. But it was real good. Anymore than that and I will be giving away spoilers.
I wish I could say go get this book, but its not on Amazon anymore so, you could borrow it from me I think.

This review is for Paradox by River Savage. I received a copy of the novella from the author for an honest review.
What if Nix wasn't a good guy? Would Kadence still fall for him or would she run the other way fast? One wrong choice and your life's path could be drastically different. River did an except job portraying the Nix I loved with a Nix I did not care for.
It was great to have this whole different spin on the way thing could have been. how the entire story would have been different and how it could have ended. Nix was a different man because of how the club was being ran, well all they guys were different to be honest. The are not the same lovable guy I fell in love with. Kadence and Holly are still there sassy, back talking, fighters, who I enjoyed more. The ending I nearly had heart failure. I love a great epilogue and this one was great. River did a fabulous job of taking a wonderful story and twisting it just enough to keep me turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next.
I know this is not a detailed review but it is a novella and I don't want to give anything away. However, if you have read Incandescent this is a must read in my opinion.

FIVE 'WHAT IF...' STARS!!
This review is for Paradox by River Savage. I will post reviews for the other stories as I read them.
What if… one key element of someone’s history was altered? What would the outcome of that alteration look like? How would it affect the choices, decisions and realities of that person’s life? What would the consequences of that change be? How far reaching would those consequences go? How instrumental is that one changed element in the grand scheme of what that person is and what they become? Finally, what affect would that change have on other people, willingly or unwittingly, in that person’s life?
River, in her uniquely talented way, examines just that in this book. I cannot and will not spoil any part of this story in this review. This book is something that must be experienced without any prior knowledge of the “what if” for the story to have the full effect on the reader.
Just know that this was a well-written, interesting River Savage story. She gives us what we have come to expect and appreciate in her writing – a strong alpha male and a sassy heroine. But she took something from the original story and flipped it giving her readers a unique and different take on a beloved, fan favorite relationship, and she did it well. But I’m not at all surprised by that because this is, after all, River Savage. I’ve always thought you’ve been an amazing talented and gifted writer, River, but now I know you’re also a brave and exceptionally creative one. #ProudRebel #NixFix

Review based on ARC of Paradox
In this story, the author turns the event from incandescent upside down based on "what if" it happened this way.
I hadn't reread incandescent beforehand because I wanted to have the story retold without having it fresh in my memory, which I think was a good thing. Of course, there were things that stood out but in general, it was like reading a different novella.
I really liked the premise of the story cause we all have moments life life where we wonder "what if I had done this differently" and seeing how Nix and Kandence could have turned out was incredible.
As lover of Nix from incandescent, paradox was a great twisted story. Who knew Nix could turn into a bad guy? Even if it was just for a moment. Kadence was her fantastic badass self and I couldn't help think "I would love to be like her!". Which is what makes a great book, in my humble opinion - I want to feel something, and I certainly did...
All in all, another slamdunk from River Savage - if you haven't read the first 3 stories about Knights Rebels, you are missing out. So go get your #NIXFIX, #SYHIGH and wait impatiently to become a #JESSIEJUNKIE like the rest of us.

Firstly, more review to come once I've read more of the novella's. I love the whole theory to this Anthology.... What If you made a different choice, how would your life be like today?? Would you be with the women you love?? have the friends you have??
Paradox by River Savage....
I was lucky to receive an ARC of 'Paradox' from River Savage for an honest review... I was excited & a bit anxious to start reading this.
Just finished reading 'Paradox' & I'm speechless at what River has written.... It's the Knights Rebels but with such a plot twist that it left me scared from the start. I'm a massive FAN of Nix & Kadence, so when River said she was doing this novella for Nix & Kadence, I was super excited. I loved that we got more N & K, it was darker, more dangerous, I got to the ending & I nearly had a panic attack... Thank goodness for the light at the end of the tunnel. River did such an amazing job changing her original story, twisting the details just enough to keep me devouring the novella to find out what happens next.

GASP!! My baby daddy AKA Nix is a bad guy!! Say it aint so!! So for this Anthology, River went back and made Nix the person who started the fire that burned Kadence so badly. We still have her Ex Zane being a bad guy but so are Nix and the guys!! NOOOOO GOOD!!
I loved how this story took real scenes from the book and twisted them ever so slightly to make the Rebels bad guys. They are drug and gun runners where our REAL guys are soooo not that way. But what I really loved the most was that even though Nix is a huge awful man, he is still totally smitten with his woman. It seems even in a Paradox universe his heart still wants her.
This was a really short read and I loved to see this different dynamic. Don’t worry I still love him and I love what River did at the end of the story BUT I wanna keep my Nix a Good NAUGHTY boy vs a BAD Naughty Boy!!

We got a love story of a lifetime with debut Incandescent, where we fell in love with Nix & Kadence.
In Paradox, Nix and Kadence’s path is altered….darker, more twisted,more emotional.
WHAT IF this or that happened?
WHAT IF something, anything, big or small changed?
WHAT IF characters had different roles, different personalities?
What would the outcome be??
This is their WHAT IF, Nix & Kadence.
River Savage’s creation of Paradox was this, WHAT could have happened IF she didn't choose the course of Incandescent as she did.
I'll tell ya, my perception of Nix changed drastically. I hated him the majority of the time. Maybe it's because I fell head over heels in Incandescent.
I felt emotionally gutted for Kadence, how she was treated, used & abused.
Regrets run deep. A tragic ending deeply raw!
Every page kept me on edge, heart pounding.
I hate change so for me I didn't take this course too well but it still deserves 5 stars!

OMG!!! This is the epic of What If in the story of Nix and Kadence. I have read their story before this and wondered what kind of spin would be put on it. River did not disappoint. I found myself even just reading the first chapter, not wanting to go on and see what else happens because I love Nix and Kadence so much. This is a completely different parallel universe.
Paradox truly begs that question, what if this happened instead of what happened in the original story, hooks you from the beginning and keeps you guessing what is going on until the very end. There were twists and turns not expecting and loved the element of surprise with some of the characters that I have grown to love in River's stories.
If you love River or even if this is the first time reading one of her stories, you will not be disappointed with this twist on What If.

I love the Men of Inked series and Izzy and James were the perfect couple for the What If book. I loved reading what could of happened with James and Izzy and reading their sexy night they spent together makes me want to reread the whole series

I love this series. The relationship between Mason, Ash and Scarlett I can't get enough of. I love the What If of them knowing that Ash and Scar got there goodbye and were meant to be with others and still have there friendship. Amazing series and sad to see it ended.

This is such an unique twist of the characters and story that I fell in love with.
IF you know the story of Nix and Kadence then hold on to your hat.
You have Kadence who is a school teacher to bad boy biker Nix's son Z.
They meet and she has an instant attraction to him.
Nix is feeling guilt over what he did to Kadence in the past which she doesn't know about and feels a sense of protection over her.
He ends up kidnapping for her protection over her ex but they quickly feel the attraction and can't hold back.
I can't review anymore because I will give spoilers away but you will not regret reading this story.
Knowing what you know about these two characters that we love, will have you feeling their pain and saying, "I need to go back and read Incandescent" because this was just OMG!

Paradox (Knights Rebels MC) by River Savage
Jesus woman, you did it again! I was almost crying, it was soooo difficult for me to see Nix in that position, I really didn't want to believe!!! Then the end came and wow, what a relief!!
This story is about Nix and Kadence, and WHAT could have happened IF the author didn't choose the course of Incandescent as she did.
If you read Incandescent before you read this (and I surely hope you do), you will see some equal events and then a twist that will blow your mind!
Nix, being Nix, you can expect some serious hot scenes, a dirty mouth, and some action.

Twisted Course by Aly Martinez
I love the idea of putting a twist on an already published story. I like the direction Aly took this story, and it was interesting getting to know Manda a bit. I have to say I don’t know that I like her all that much, but I definitely felt her anguish. We all handle grief and guilt in different ways and it was cool to see how Manda handled it. The end was the best if you believe in fate and things happening for a reason. Caleb and Manda’s life was always headed one direction no matter what. It was meant to be.

I have read Paradox by River Savage on behalf of A Kiss Down Under Book Blog.
Paradox runs parallel to Rivers Incandescent. You don't have to read it but obviously if you have it will change everything!!
With or with out reading Incandescent though this is a great novella that kept my attention!!
The pull and chemistry of the characters leaps off the pages and when they eventually do come together it's HOT!!
Rivers writing is extremely likeable and I'd urge anyone to read all her other books!!!
Definitely an anthology to look out for, River fans will not be disappointed!!

I received an ARC of Paradox by River Savage for an honest review. River did nothing but surprise me with this book! She kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I can't believe some of the twists she threw us in this story. What IF, I am so glad that wasn't the reality of how the story played out. I think my stomach did nothing but flip and flop the whole time. I am nothing but utterly amazed with how well this story flowed, even though I've read how it really went. Even though I know what really happened, I still love this very much!

I only read Twisted Course by Aly Martinez, but holy Hell! She knows how to gut a person. I love the Wrecked and Ruined series, so this "what if" novella intrigued me. You would think I'd be prepared, but not at all. Aly takes you on a twisted course to get the characters right to where they belong, but not until you are left gutted and angry and sad and aching and relieved and gutted again. So consider this your warning, but READ IT! (BTW...To truly get the "what if" of Twisted Course, you should probably read Stolen Course first.)

Paradox by River Savage
River never disappoints, Paradox specially written is by far for me one of her best. I found myself on a roller coaster of emotions, the “what if” aspect of the story is one i was not sure i would like. But for me this story is one that had to be told, i thoroughly enjoyed and anticipated each word.

I read the two novellas by River Savage and Chelle Bliss since I've read the original books already that get the "What If..." treatment.
River Savage - Paradox: my favorite with the cool twist on the original story of Nix and Kadence. Glad it wasn't this way originally! Great writing. Enjoyed it!

I was beyond excited to get the alternate ending to Erin Noelles book Alive. Such a good story this whole series is one of my favorites. The What if Ash didnt pass away and if she would end up with him or Mason couldnt have been happier with how things played out she did a great job.
