Supernatural Suckers #4

The Internet's Most Haunted Influencer

Rate this book
One failed exorcism. One viral haunting. One deeply inconvenient crush.

For a ghost, Leo is terrible at haunting.

His doors won’t slam. His threats go ignored. The intruder he’s trying to scare away is taking notes.

In his defense, he’s working with limited resources. He doesn’t remember his name, his life, or much of anything before an idiotic medium ripped away half his mind.

So when another one shows up with a tape measure, a toolkit, and a YouTube channel, Leo reacts about as well as you’d expect.

Nate comes from a long line of mediums, but he treats the family gift like a real estate hack: buy haunted, exorcise, renovate, flip. It’s always worked.

Until Leo.

Nate can’t exorcise him. He can’t sell the house. He can’t even get the ghost to stop criticizing his paint colors and waging war against the Roomba. Leo is annoying, impossible, and far too easy to look at for someone technically dead.

Then the renovation bills start piling up, and the haunting starts looking like a solution: bad for property values, great for views.

Going viral might save Nate’s career.

But falling for the ghost was never part of the business plan.

One word: ADORABLE!

Additional words:

- medium turned home renovation/DIY creator (Nate);
- grumpy, opinionated spirit 👻 (Leo);
- fat stuffed seal named Bartholomew (hilarity ensues);
- mystery (Who is Leo? Why is he guarding the house Nate bought? Why is his soul torn?);
- quiet, gentle romance (Leo doesn't have a corporal form, so don't go in expecting a sex fest);
- a smidgen of heartbreak 💔 when we discover Leo's history and how he died.

Very sweet, very funny, heartfelt 🩷 💙 💜 story with a nontraditional HEA that I found sightly disappointing.

P.S. The description claims this book is 637 pages, and strangely that's what I'm showing on my Kindle (7,200 locations), but something must be off with the file (it's gotta be Leo!), because no way is this book that long. It was a quick, easy read, so don't let the page count daunt you.

P.P.S. A bonus epilogue, featuring the three previous couples and the fifth couple coming up, is included.

A nice mostly mellow read. Nowhere near the tension and reward of the previous book, but, I enjoyed myself.

Medium-turned-house-flipper Nate is entranced by a certain rundown house with beautiful bones and decorative touches. Too bad the ghost that lives there wants him far, far away.

Buying the house is…a financial challenge. Filming himself fixing it up on his popular channel might just eeek out the $ to pay the renovation bills.

But with the ghost Nate decides to call Leo haunting his every move, yelling at him to leave, to get away, that this is Leo’s house…well, there’s something strange and powerful about Leo that’s calling to Nate’s medium side, and figuring out who Leo was and why he’s tethered to this house with almost no memories?

Challenge accepted.

The story of finding out who Leo is and what happened to him hooked me. Nate I enjoyed as a determined character, somewhat estranged from his family of mediums for rejecting his gift/calling to help ghosts move on but confident in what he wants to do with his life, and focused on helping Leo, like it or not.

Their developing friendship is strong and funny as Leo just can’t top hassling Nate and Nate gets more and more involved, visiting the nearby small town and meeting the folk there, asking around about Leo, finding ways to show what he looks like, and genuinely caring about Leo and his “home.” Funny shenanigans occur, and Nate’s growing need to figure out why Leo is unusual and what happened to take his memories was admirable and fun to watch. Visiting Nate’s family is fascinating, a group who disapprove of Nate’s choices but still clearly love him and consider him family.

I didn’t feel the romance/attraction, and as Things are revealed, it became clear why. Leo is hung up on something in his past that haunts him (ironically!), and I think just something about it, diminished any connection between him and Nate—it was too subtle, too…secondary to the mystery and revelations about Leo’s past.

Trying not to spoil things, but, the past is also so important and unresolved. What happened to those in part responsible for Leo’s condition? Where are they now? Did I miss it? They are part of an important secondary character’s life, and their fates aren’t mentioned. None of that felt resolved or satisfying. As if learning what happened was enough. It was not. But did I miss this crucial info? I can’t find it. And it was not remotely believable that Leo didn’t ask what happened to them, ever.

The past relationship overshadowed the present for me, and also made me wary of the future, because, Nate is gonna stay Nate and human, and Leo is gonna stay Leo and the same forever. And the important secondary character will pass, and so will Nate someday, and…what happens After? What then? Too many things up in the air to satisfy me.

And the reason for Leo’s remaining, which has to do with Nate and his family…that all was resolved without violence or…anything, but, what will happen with the instigator now? That also felt nebulous.

Noah’s appearance (he is the recurring character who always has a hand in how the MCs in this series connect) is welcome and fun, though I did not understand why he…did the thing he did. What was he aiming for? I enjoyed his hand in things, but also was confused by it.

Favorite element…Sir Bartholomew Flopsworth III! And how Leo got…tangled up in him. 😂

Overall, I enjoyed reading, but, other books in the series are much stronger romantically and more satisfying resolution-wise. I needed a LOT more info on the bleak element. My thirst for justice was left high and dry. The romance is very sweet, but, also overshadowed, and the future seems nebulous.

HEA. Ghost and medium. House renovation, influencer, posts and comments. No OM action at all, safe on that front, but, OM drama due to the past and impacted things in a way that took away from the present romance for me. Just didn’t feel that soulmates type connection here, it was all so gentle and adult. Unique situation though! Recommended, but I liked the first three books much better and felt they were stronger.

My thanks to Booksprout and the author for the ARC; this is my free and impartial opinion.

I've loved all the books in this series, and this one was no exception. The Internet's Most Haunted Influencer is both funny and romantic. I love both main characters and this storyline was the best one so far in my opinion. This one also made me cry, which was a new thing in this series...
If you liked the other books you're gonna love this one, if you haven't read them what are you doing?!? Go read them immediately!

Thank you to the author for the ARC.

Okay this was adorable!

This is my first book by Silvana and I absolutely loved it! I did not read the previous books and was still able to immerse myself in this one.

There were so many swoon worthy moments throughout, heartfelt situations and some fun friendly banter!

If you're a fan of supernatural and a bit of a unconventional HEA pick this book up!

Every book in this series has been a 5 star read, so I can’t lie and say I’m not disappointed. I felt like the romance fell a bit flat for me - it’s not until the halfway point that the romance really starts and it didn’t feel like soulmates the way all of the other books felt. But the mystery is what kept me hooked. Who is Leo? What is he guarding? I had to know. I wish we got more information about the lady who owned the house in the 70s though - there was a story there I would’ve loved to have read. Thankfully there’s another book coming and we get to see Noah meddle some more :)

Thank you Booksprout for the ARC. This review is honest and voluntary.

This is such a fun addition to the series! I adore Silvana Falcon’s takes on different supernaturals and Leo sure was one grumpy ghost! This book had all the silliness and heart that I was expecting from it and I had the best time watching Leo and Nate’s relationship become something wonderful. These two definitely had a bit of a questionable meet cute with Leo trying to do whatever he could to get Nate away from his house and Nate just laughing at his attempts and trying to exorcize him. I loved seeing them banter with one another and Leo being grumpy over just about everything. There was a part of this book that was hilarious and adorable and Leo was very much unhappy with the turn of events.

Nate was definitely a lot more grounded of a character and he spent a lot of time just ignoring Leo’s antics or taunting him for being a ghost. I giggled a lot at their conversations and Leo’s thoughts on the Roomba and everything else Nate tried to do. These two were hilarious but it was even better once they started getting to know each other more and spending time together without trying to get rid of each other (kinda). It was very sweet watching their relationship blossom while they were working together to help Leo with his memories and Nate with fixing up the house. Leo’s backstory was definitely a little sad and I felt so bad for him but the way everything ended was lovely and it was great seeing him get a second chance to fall in love and be with someone even as a ghost. I also loved getting to see Noah again, it’s always a delight seeing how much people hate Noah’s meddling but I do feel bad for him and I hope he’ll eventually get a happy ever after if he wants one. Nate and Leo did definitely get their happy ending though and I was very satisfied with how everything turned out even if the road to getting there was full of bumps.

As always the ending of one book means a sneak peek of the next book and from the snippet I read I am very excited for what’s coming next. The little teasers never fail to make me crave the next book in the series!

Thank you Booksprout and Silvana Falcon for the ARC!

Perfect Halloween vibes and I adored the romance! Just like the rest of the books in this series there’s fantastic banter and a lot of heartwarming moments. Leo and Nate are great together and I love the connection they form. As a heads up this book does deal with the cause of Leo’s death and could be triggering so I’ve included it below.

While not detailed or graphic you learn Leo was beaten to death for being queer.

👻 Nate and Leo . . .

Nate hoped Bellwether House was haunted. Although ordinary buyers scared easily, having talents coming from a long line of mediums, allows him to get rid of a ghost to make the sale. If restored properly, this house would look absolutely beautiful. It has original woodwork, six bedrooms, and four fireplaces. The Realtor, Sandra Wilson, was waiting on the porch and ready to show him around to check out the condition, but the door wouldn't open. Maybe it was swollen wood... or could be something else. She finally succeeded and they went inside where he pointed out a ceiling leak. She didn't know if it had been dealt with, so he wrote it down in his notebook as he felt pressure, indicating a ghostly presence on the staircase. He noticed the cracked tile in the fireplace. It would need a chimney inspection. Sandra wasn't sure if the wiring had been updated, judging by her vague answer and he saw a slight scorch mark above the plate. Then a ghost said "Get out!" The vast majority of ghosts were not so much sentient ghosts as residual spiritual energy which was harmless. But this one bellowed orders... and meant danger. “Get out,” the ghost snarled at Sandra now. From the corner of his eye, Nate saw her take a step back and she felt the chill... the ghost was apparently strong. Nate refused to react. Sandra mentioned cosmetic work needed, and the ghost said to Nate's face, “Do not touch my house.” A threat? Nate looked up at the ghost just long enough for the ghost to realize that he could see him, and that he does not scare Nate. Nate and Sandra moved on to the dining room. When Nate didn't react, the ghost rattled the stuck door which didn't open much. When he wrote in his notebook "haunting: inconsistent physical influence", the angry ghost told him not to write that, almost ashamed by his failure. The kitchen they viewed next was full of poor choices. The ghost tried to stop him from going into the basement. The foundation looked good, no damp smell, no leaks. But the furnace was ancient. And it seemed the ghost was trying to hide the corner even though there was no door there. His final assessment was that the roof needs replacing and the wiring has to come out. New furnace is required and a new kitchen. She finally told him that the sellers had inherited the house, never lived here, and they want it gone. But it hadn't been sold in 14 months, and those who entered were eager to leave. But Nate worried that someone would ignore how it made them feel and buy it... and the ghost was strong enough to seriously hurt someone. Would his conscience allow him to ignore that danger? What should he do? His family could perhaps step in and deal with the ghost. But even they could get hurt by a strong ghost like this one. Would he return to the house that night and see what he could do to help a ghost with no name nor any memories? Or is something more going on here?

So I read books 1-3 first and oh my god this whole series was so damn good!
Ethan and Mal they just wanted love Ethan wanted all the romance and I loved it!
Charlie and Simon! This one had me laughing so much! When Charlie turned into a rabbit I lost it!
Greg and Dustin!! This one made me cry I truly believe Dustin’s brother helped Greg stay in the mortal world!
Now on to Leo and Nate! I loved their banter so much! Nate is a medium but he’s basically a YouTuber who does renovations! So when he has his sights set on this house he won’t let a ghost who he named Leo drive him away! This one made me sad once Leo got his memories back and found out what truly happened to him like I bawled it was so unfair
When Leo got himself trapped into Nate’s stuffed seal I lost it LOL when he went to Nate’s family and the little girl did the plate card of seel gost it was adorable!
What neither of them expected was to fall in love! You could see it slowly happening when Leo started to notice Nate in different ways and when Nate was painting him to see if he could find out who Leo really was!
I love when supernatural books give us a plausible way for them to be intimate I mean Nate drank this horrible tea that gave him massive headaches after but he could hold Leo they could be together!
What made me mad was Nate’s cousin! I didn’t expect him to be the reason that Leo’s soul was torn! But all this revelation led Nate to tell his mom about everything and she helped tether him to a ring that would make sure Leo was with Nate always annnnnnd they could touch without the awful tea!!!!
I loved this whole series so damn much! I laughed I cried I swooned!!!
I like that Nate with Leo tethered to him now was more powerful so Leo could reconnect with his former boyfriend Walt and talk things out Nate brought comfort to other people now too that he was stronger
Also he got upgraded from Seel gost to uncle Leo!!!

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Supernatural Suckers Series. I enjoyed immersing myself in this world that Silvana Falcon has created. Nate is a medium who buys haunted houses, exorcises its ghostly residents, renovates & flips the house while filming the process. When he goes to look at a house one of his subscribers mentioned he meets the resident ghost who’s extremely grumpy and just wants Nate & the realtor to leave. Even though Nate can see him he ignores him and just jots down notes on the house, while silently observing the ghost’s reactions to them being there which the ghost isn’t happy about. Nate ends up purchasing the house to renovate & flip but of course the ghost doesn’t want him there. When a subpar medium tried to exorcise the ghost they ended up tearing his mind apart so he doesn’t remember his name, who he was or how he died, so it’s no wonder he’s angry and doesn’t want Nate who’s a medium in his house.

Nate decided to name him Leo since he wouldn’t tell Nate his name. I thought that Nate & Leo were good together and I really enjoyed seeing their relationship progress as the story unfolded. Man, my heart hurt for Leo when it was revealed how he died but I’m glad he got the closure he needed. I was waiting to see how Nate & Leo were going to get there happily ever after and I was satisfied with how things panned out. I enjoyed getting to see our meddling guarding Noah and I see his rubber duckie bow ties are still going strong. I know that his meddling isn’t always appreciated but at least he has the couple he helps best interests at heart. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this series as it continues. I’d recommend this book, series and author to others.

I am completely hooked on Supernatural Suckers, the series. Why? I love a good romance, am a sucker for it you could say (pun intended though it has different meanings in this context.) I also love my romance to have two (or more) men, humour, passion, spice and honesty. This one has it all and more. The writing flows, it's warm, witty and whilst it might be far removed from reality that is another thing that makes it so completely wonderful.

Nate has an YouTube channel and followers. His followers, and subscribers, are interested in the house flipping he does. They don't know the truth about how he came into the career or what he really sees when he works on his houses, what he has always seen and the life he has tried to turn his back on.

Nate is a medium but he's more than that, he has more ability and power than most of his family, he can see and talk to ghosts, send them back but he wants to help them, wants to do more than simply send them away. He also enjoys working on the houses, restoring them. That's mainly why he ignores the apparent threats from one of the strongest ghosts he's yet met.

Leo, as Nate names him since the ghost won't admit to not knowing his own name, is s mystery - to Nate and to himself. He's haunting the mansion, he knows he needs to protect it even if he has no idea why and he seems to only have fragments of his memories. He also has opinions on everything Nate is doing to the house, is trying his best to stop any of it happening, argues with a hoover and is generally one of the best supernatural characters I have ever come across!

I love this book. I love its warmth and vitality which yes, seems contrary to the fact it is half about someone who has died, but that is what Silvana Falcon gives us and with such brilliant character development, a steady storyline, plenty of mystery, humour and spice. Highly recommended.

Silvana Falcon has done it AGAIN! I swear I love every book she writes, and this one was no exception. I loved this book just as much as her others, and now I have to wait until NEXT YEAR for the next one?!

Nate being a YouTuber who literally buys a haunted house to remodel, knowing full well it's haunted, is already hilarious to me. 😂 But then there's Leo, the ghost who can't move on, and Nate ends up figuring out why. The way Nate is with Leo is SO SWEET. I absolutely loved their relationship and how much Nate cared about him. 🥹❤️

Also, can we talk about Leo getting stuck inside Bartholomew and then getting KIDNAPPED BY A FOX WHO TAKES HIM AS TREASURE?! I was laughing so hard. I love the mix of funny, chaotic moments and the emotional ones in this book because WHY AM I LAUGHING ONE MINUTE AND CRYING THE NEXT?!

And speaking of crying... LEO AND WALT. When Leo finally reunited with Walt, I LOST IT. Absolutely sobbing. I loved Leo's story so much, and that moment hit me right in the feelings. I don't think I'll ever be over it.

Silvana has yet to disappoint me, and I seriously cannot wait for the next book next year!

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review! 💕👻

I've always believed that there were only three ways a ghost/ live being romance can end. The live MC walks away. The live MC dies. Or, somehow, through witchery, the dead MC is re-erected. Sivana Falcon gives us a fourth conclusion. And I like her solution the best.
Nate is a medium. He's also a house renovator who live streams his DIY. He gets content and houses rumored to be haunted sell for less. He'd be crazy to buy the Victoreen. Roof leak, water damage, outdated electrical. And he's already met the bad tempered ghost. The ghost doesn't remember his name. He doesn't remember how he'd died. And he wants the pesky human out of his house. Adversaries to friends. Nate names him Leo, and wants to help him rather than simply exorcising him.
They fall in love and into an odd relationship. Nate's family pf true mediums help as best they can.
Nate and Leo aren't the first Silvana Falcon characters to reach an impasse. The author makes the most unlikely scenarios, probable. As I said, I liked her solution.
Longish book, but a quick, absorbing read. Two very likeable MCs. And a quite unique HEA,.

The Internet’s Most Haunted Influencer by Sylvana Falcon is the fourth book in the Supernatural Suckers series, and I AM HERE FOR IT!

The story follows Nate, an influencer and medium who can see spirits, and Leo, a ghost haunting the decrepit old house Nate purchases to renovate and flip for profit. On one hand, it's a sweet, fun enemies-to-lovers slow-burn romance. On the other, it's a ghostly mystery that needs to be solved so Leo can finally be freed from his earthly imprisonment and uncover the truth behind his lost memories.

This story manages to be cute and romantic while also having some genuinely tragic and heartbreaking moments. I was really impressed by how much depth the author brought to the characters and their development. There is so much more to this story than I expected from a cozy paranormal romance, and I absolutely loved it!

Do yourself a favour and read the previous three books in the series as well. They're all delightful in their own way, and this series has quickly become one I look forward to returning to!.

I am in LOVE with this series! Every book has been fantastic - clever, entertaining, and engaging. It’s a spin on paranormal romance I never expected with unlikely heroes and impossible pairings, all with an emotional edge. I appreciate Silvana Falcon’s skill in creating a cohesive universe of standalone romances with stories seamlessly linked through a single character thread.

This latest installment is no exception, from its clever premise and likable characters to the complicated emotional depth. Nate and Leo’s forbidden romance strikes just the right balance of romance and strife - they fall for each other so effortlessly, but their circumstances are more than complicated. For one, Leo’s a ghost. For two, Nate is very much alive. It’s only his strong gift that lets him see Leo at all.

The easy connection and chemistry between these two make this book the definition of “rooting for them” when it comes to forbidden love. Their impossible situation keeps you on edge, at any given moment wondering whether everything will be okay or your heart will be ripped out. That uncertainty and their complicated emotional entanglements will have you racing to the end to find out if they get their happily ever after.

Good story, writing, pacing, and ending (HEA) and funny

Leo say what you'd want to say out loud, and it'll hilarious. Nate was patient and gave Leo's sass space.

Nate's family is eeesh, including the parent who really shoulder understand that a child/another person has the right to use or not use their natural talent. They shouldn't have tried to coerce or guilt trip Nate. Glad he had the lucky summer project that he could use and that he left them for some time to make something of himself enough that their pressuring would not be enough to work anymore. That little shit cousin's horrible (and his parent) greedy action is one such reason why you shouldn't force, guilt trip people into things.

So glad Leo finally remember his previous love and got a chance at a good life.

The author's opening remark made me laugh the whole night. It's terrible and so funny lol.

I had a lot of fun with this one! Leo is a wonderfully entertaining ghost, and I loved his attempts to haunt Nate, especially when Nate seemed far more interested in documenting everything than being scared. Their bickering and the whole renovation-and-YouTube setup brought plenty of humour, and I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop as they got to know each other.

The mystery was what really kept me hooked, though. I was fascinated by Leo’s missing memories and desperate to discover who he was and what he was guarding. I would have loved a little more about the house's history and its former owner, as there was clearly more to explore there. Another enjoyable addition to the series, with plenty of laughs, a sweet romance and a mystery that kept me guessing.

This is some ghostly fun reading from Silvana Falcon which is sad but sweet and very well thought out. There are a few side characters , but the book is mostly just these two guys who start out annoying each other and gradually become closer. Nate has a lot in his backstory and I like how Ms Falcon only gradually lets us in on it. Leo’s backstory is sadly typical for the time he lived in, but Ms Falcon has given him some interesting twists as a ghost. Adding in social media really helps the story as well as making it more modern.
Overall the stories of both guys is sad until they get together, but Ms Falcon is so good at adding humor appropriately so things never feel all that heavy.
I am enjoying the diversity of this series about Supernatural Suckers.

Nate and Leo story was quite interesting with a plot and mystery that kept thickening until the climax when the mind is blown apart while the truth was revealed.
It had plenty of shenanigans, teasing, humour, but also feelings and heartache when the past is revealed.
I liked their moments together, how they got to learn more about each other, and how their relationship progressed.
There were some instances when I feared for their happiness, but the solution to their problems was beautifully executed.
I liked seeing little snippets in the lives of old characters, and the new adventure sounds exciting.
Also I keep hoping that a certain someone will also find his happiness.

I really enjoyed this next book in the series. As always, each of the books are loosely connected in the same universe and can be read alone, but it is a bit more enjoyable when you read them sequentially.

The characters were well written and I loved watching them together. I should’ve known my heartstrings would be pulled multiple times in the book - I found myself unexpectedly emotional while reading some passages.

Would definitely recommend this book to others, especially if you’ve already started the series! I find each book even better than the previous one, which is hard to do in a lot of series.

A Haunting Love!!
Nate is a medium who decided to flip houses instead of taking care of ghosts. He is sent a listing anonymously for a house that is in need of repairs. Unknown to him the house comes with a ghost. Leo is a ghost and really has no memory of how he came to be in the house and how he died is heartbreaking. The person responsible for Leo not remembering really was a surprise. This is a great story of finding yourself and your place in the scheme of things. Leo and Nate along with Nate's family give them and each other the support and love they both deserve.

I was in such a deep reading slump, enjoying nothing I read. But I adore this series, so I gave it a try, and it was so good!! I love the writing so much.
This book made me guess— and guess wrong, so many times about what Leo’s past was. Leo in general is a great character, made me laugh more times than I can count. Nate and Leo are great for each other! And I knew Noah would appear somewhere somehow, so when he did I squealed out loud. Amazing book, 10/10, writing style is literal perfection. One of my favourite must read authors.

I LOVE this book. Honestly, I have loved every book in this series. The books work very well as stand alone stories but the general feel and humor carries across the series. (I wrote this for the previous book and I still stand by it!! This whole series is the BEST!!!)

This book really kept me on my toes. I just couldn’t figure out how it could resolve with a happy ending but I promise it does and in the sweetest way. I read this in one day, I just couldn’t put it down.

I really enjoyed this story. Each book in the series is interesting and can be read as a stand alone but you learn tidbits about the side character, Noah in each one. I like how this book is starts out as a ghost trying to keep the pesky living out of his home. I enjoyed how Nate gave up the "family business" but still uses what he learned in his own way. Watching Nate and "Leo" grow was so fun and at times sad to read. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

It was ok, I hate the dumb influencer part and a bit fast paced for my taste. Interesting idea, but things felt off and rushed and there were parts that just did not work The chemistry was a bit lacking along with the storyflow. The personalities were a bit much, was hoping for more personal growth and chemistry but a bit off. It was ok over all but just too much over done dramatic moments for my liking.

A ghost who is trying to haunt a property and not doing a great job of it. A medium who uses his gift to make money buying haunted property, ridding it of its spirit inhabitants and flipping the property. Until Nate can't get rid of Leo. And then they fall for one another. This was actually a good pairing. I liked the humor and their interactions were engaging. Good ending as well.

This book was better than I could have anticipated! The plot was very original and the way that the characters are developed and how their relationship progressed kept me wanting to know more! I couldn’t stop reading! I have stayed awake way too late to finish devouring this book! That is a tomorrow problem but getting to finish this will be totally worth it!

the story sucked me in from the first sentence, the story was funny and engaging with some serious stuff mixed in, the understanding of homophobia had me understanding Leo's fear of the people in the phone knowing. very well written and an easy and enjoyable way to lose an afternoon.
