What would you do if your best friend, who once told you he’d love you forever, forgot about you at Heathrow airport because he met another woman? You’d kick his ass to the curb…right?
Sweet, sassy, spunky Chloe Darcy grew up knowing she could always count on Michael as her one true friend. Fun, focused, future-duke Michael Bennington grew up stealing a kiss from Chloe, telling her that she would forever be his.
When Michael comes back to Chloe after the woman he considered his “duchess” breaks his heart, Chloe has a choice to make—does she make him beg or does she make him grovel?
Written once again in blog format like its preceding series, Indelible Lovin’ - Max & Jane’s Story and Unyielding Love - Nick & Bee’s Story, Finally, Love! - Michael & Chloe’s Story chronicles the lives of the Benningtons with much interference from the Reids, Taylors, and Davises. Though this story starts ten years ago when Michael forgets Chloe at the airport, it ends with our three main characters, Michael, Chloe, and Chloe’s new beau, Brendan “Magic Mike” O’Shaughnessy, having to make some life-altering choices.
Originally published as a Monday/Thursday series on my website, www.dwcee.com, Vol. 1 has been compiled as a read-all-in-one-sitting version. This volume is only half the story. The rest is being unfolded on the website. Join us now!
I started writing back in Dec of 2009 after I saw an interview with Stephenie Meyers. She told Oprah that she always had stories in her head and that struck a chord with me. Whenever I drive, I have all kinds of stories circulating in my mind. Generally, I am the star of this story and many wacky things happen. Of course, I make the story quite complimentary and beneficial to me. I guess you could say Meyers channeled my head case into a novel.
I am first a wife and a mother, as well as a restauranteur and a caterer. Writing is my last profession and a late-found one. I have a B.A. and an M.Ed from UCLA (yes, just like Emily) and taught 1st grade for four years till I had my first child, a son. Two years later, I had my daughter and the two kids ran my life till they both started school. My husband and I opened a restaurant in LA when we first got married and have been in the food service industry for almost 17 years.
I think I’ve always been a foodie at heart and though it sounds strange, loving food did not have anything to do with opening up a restaurant. That was all my husband’s idea. I didn’t even know I could cook till I got married. And then I discovered, I love cooking! I love everything related to food. Eating, first, cooking second, cleaning a definite last. I could do without the cleaning from the prep work and the mound of dishes created after a meal. But, that’s a whole other blog in and of itself. Whenever we plan a family trip, and especially when my husband and I go on a couple’s trip, it’s based around what we want to eat, or which restaurants we want to visit. Hubby and I did a trip to Austin one summer just to eat BBQ. The trip to Rome was for pasta, Tokyo was for ramen and sushi, and in Paris, we gorged on treats from all the beautiful patisseries. The two best meals of my life were at Taillevent and Joel Robuchon in Paris (I am amending this last sentence as I think the best meal of my life was the one I recently had at Masa in NYC). All of these places and restaurants sound familiar? :) NYC is our favorite city (and yes, Emily’s favorite city as well) for dining. But… I digress.
Even with the crazy schedule, I hope to keep writing. Entwined, my third novel, is out on Amazon and Smashwords, iBooks, Nook, and Kobo. And for those of you who have been with me from the beginning know that Indelible Lovin’ – Max & Jane’s Story is done and also sold at the e-retailers listed above, in two volumes. I am currently working on another story titled, Unlikely Attraction, as well as another Indelible Lovin’ blog story. I hope to see many more Reiders come Dec. 2013, when the new blog is unveiled.
Thank you for visiting my website and I am truly humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love Indelible Love and Entwined have received. Check back for updates on my writings, travels, and everything Reid/Taylor/Davis.
4.5 Stars!!,WOW, DW, you have been my girl for a while now, and you know how much I love you; but what are you doing to me? Ten years!!! We have a whole decade to see how these 3 are going to work this out?
DW, you really got me with this one; this has been a pleasant surprise, and a little more unique than what I am used to from your work. Of course all the great elements of attention to detail, appearances from all our old friends, and all the relationship angst that just makes me want to scream! Yes, it's all there and then some, LOL! I know that I say this all the time, but I really can't wait to see how this is all going to come together; and what is so ironic to me, is that at this point, I'm not sure how I even want it all to play out. Who will wind up with whom? It's a great mystery, that only you can solve, and I can't wait! So please HURRY!
Even better then Lainey's story. Chloe and Micheal have know each other for forever and where each other's first. Then part and they both move on. But Michael never knew what he had and still doesn't and Chloe has always loved him and will always in some way. I don't want to spoil. Please give her books a try and before you read this book you probably will want to read max and janes or lanes and donvans book first it gives you the background set up for this book. I loved D W Cee shares the stories as she writes them it give someone like me something to look forward to each week and I don't know about you but I need a pick me up and she gives me that. Her stories are getting better and better. I love the Reid's and can't wait for the next book for perfect harmony and this books sequel.
Thanks for being a great writer and friend to us all. But why does it have to be a decade later.
I loved this story of Michael and Chloe. It was so good to read both sides of their story. The ups and downs of two best friends who just can't seem to get their acts together. I do like Magic Mike but I just don't feel the love their. I wish Michael could see he true "duchess" is so close but so far away because he has his blinkers on. Good to see we have The Reid, Taylor and Davises back. Now I wait patiently to read what happens a decade later while they have been in search for what they want in life and love. Please Michael get your act together. Thank you once again DW Cee for your beautiful love story. Can't wait for Vol 2 to this love story
I love reading books by D.w. Cee. It always great seeing a writer write more about other characters but also have a storyline line there. I always want to read about Michael story since he didn't get his HEA in Delaney book. For me, the greatest part of the book was being able to read glimpse of the Reid families when they interact with these characters and seeing it go with present situation in the book. It a must read if you want to know about Michael character and who he is beside the "future duke". I can't wait for vol 2!
I loved this book. Watching Michael finally figuring out Chole was his true love even if did take years to do it. This story was so much fun to read and I would recommend to any one. I would love to see Brennan find his happily ever. I could not wait for the next segment. I loved the when Michael did finally figure it out, that Chole just did not just jump back in his arms. She made him show her exactly what she wanted.
DW Cee never disappoint, her writing style is very lively and totally engages the reader. Having a three person perspective is very good, Michael, Chole and Brendan; especially Chloe go through so much emotion during the book, and the ending WOW didn't expect that. Cannot wait to read the next volume, can't come soon enough for me
I have to admit that D.W. Cee is one of my favorite authors. She e has yet to disappoint. If you have just stumbled upon this book I highly suggest you start at the beginning with Emily's story.
This book was awesome...i cant wait for the next one to be out already!!!...Curious to see what happens after a decade of no communication with the two boys/men....a great Reid as always.
