Katelyn Murphy has always done exactly what’s expected of her and put everyone else’s needs before her own. But what did that get her? A family that’s falling apart, a boss who takes credit for her work, and no love life to speak of.
So when her friends make a bet to see who can have the wildest adventure, she decides it’s the perfect excuse to break out of her shell. And she knows exactly who can help bring out her naughty side.
Hunter Lawson was the bad boy next door--her brother’s best friend, the boy she crushed on through her teen years, the guy her mother warned her about. Always the good girl, she never did more than stare a little too long when she saw him riding off on his motorcycle. But a lot can change when a good girl gets snowed in with a biker.

Snowbound with the Biker is book two in the Holiday Encounters series. The first three books in this series are available individually or are in a box set called Holiday Encounters.
Katelyn Murphy has always been the “nice” girl. She’s the girl who will do just about anything to make others happy. She doesn’t want to rock the boat so to speak. Katelyn is in her master’s program for social work and was excited to find a job in social services that would also give her experience. Only the job turned out to be mostly paperwork. Plus the fact that she has a boss who loves to hoist all his work onto her desk and take credit for her work. Then came the news that her parent’s marriage had hit a bad spot. All of this and watching how happy her room mate, Emma, is in her new relationship makes Katelyn take a good hard look at her life. And she doesn’t exactly like what she sees. Maybe it’s her turn for an adventure. Her turn for some excitement! And she knows just what/who she wants.
Katelyn was eleven years old when Hunter Lawson moved in next door. She was immediately smitten with him. Hunter became best friends with her older brother, Logan. As Katelyn got a little older, her feelings for Hunter deepened which made her more tongue tied whenever he was around. As a result, she barely spoke to him during her teenage years. After graduation, Hunter went into the military but she had heard through her brother that he was back and working in a biker bar. She decided it was high time she do something about these feelings she has carried around with her all these years. So off to the bar Katelyn goes. Now if she can just think of what she will say to him when she gets there.
Hunter always believed that Katelyn and her parents didn’t think he was good enough for her. He also had a crush on his best friends little sister. But she was way too young for him, even if they would have accepted him. So he went into the service to try to forget her. Now here she was standing in front of him and he can’t imagine why.
Hunter needs to take a ride on his motorcycle up the mountain to check on his friend’s cabin. Katelyn wants to come along so he agrees, not realizing that a snow storm was heading that way. There is no way they are going to be able to ride the bike back down the mountain so they are stuck together. Finally, little by little, truths come out and feelings are revealed.
“That was a kiss. The kiss to end all kisses. It was the kiss I’d been waiting on for over half my life. And it did not disappoint. All it did was leave me aching for more. Much, much more.”
This was such a sweet story. And, we get a fabulous epilogue that gives us a peek into their future. I’m really loving this series and can’t wait to continue with the third book, Paige’s story, Getting Lucky with the Rock Star.
The bet continues! Hunter and Kate have been fighting their feelings for one another for long enough. When she takes the bold move to make a move on Hunter, her brother's best friend, what could go wrong 😉. This second book of the Holiday Encounters series was another fun, sexy, fast recommended read!
Arc review \ kindle unlimited for honest review this story is of katelyn's bet that she is going to go see Hunter Lawson her brother's best friend who she has had a crush on since a kid .cute
This was one of those books that grabbed me from the first page and didn't let me go. I couldn't put it down. The main character, Katelyn, considers herself a good girl, but she's not a spineless doormat, in fact she's pretty darn brave, in my opinion. Hunter has an unexpected vulnerability that makes him even more likable. The chemistry between the two is great and the tension, the uncertainty of a happy ending was really well done and kept me turning pages to find out what would happen next.
Can you imagine having a crush on your brother's best friend since you were 11 years old? Well Katie did. Even though she is now an adult she still cares for him. She never stopped caring about him and it got pretty intense when she was 15. That's when she started dreaming about him which embarrassed her so much she couldn't even talk to him. So what's a guy to think when a girl won't talk to him? He thinks she can't stand him.
A few events happen to finally make Katie decide to take control of her life and go after the one thing she really wanted - Hunter. After taking a train to his place he wanted to know why she was there. She can't make him believe she came to see him so he says he will drive her back to the train station on his bike. Instead, Katie goes with Hunter to his friend's cabin to do a quick repair. They get snowed in and let each other know how they really feel.
This was a nice little novella but it didn't have much of a plot. The whole book is basically about this couple having sex in lots of different ways and places. To me, this isn't a story, it's more erotica. Disappointing.
Her daydream about Hunter in the first chapter was confusing and annoying. I get the point that the author wanted the reader to know she had crushed on him for years but it went on way too long.
I really liked Hunter but not Katie so much. She kept spacing out and fantasizing about him. Nope. Didn't like her. Hunter, on the other hand, was kind, considerate and intelligent. Oh, and hot. His father had been verbally abusive to him as a boy so he had low self esteem. I liked the way Katie helped him to see that the things his father said were not true and others didn't see him the same way his father had.
Snowbound with the Biker is another holiday sexy treat, that will tug your heart throughout the whole book. This book maybe short, but it made me feel so many different things while reading it. It’s a feel good, melt your heart kind of love story that will make you fall in love.
This was such an enjoyable read from the first page to the last. Page after page, I was pulled into the beautiful love story of childhood friends Katelyn and Hunter. I cannot wait to sink my teeth into the next Holiday Encounters by Amy Lamont, because the first box set was truly a joy to read. Loved it.
I purchased Snowbound with the Biker as part of an anthology.
Katelyn, know as being the sweet good girl decides she is missing too much in life and goes after what she wants and that starts with Hunter, her brother's best friend and old next door neighbor. I loved the changes in her attitudes and how she is still sweet but strong too. In the process Katelyn and Hunter get caught in a mountain cabin in a unexpected snowstorm and discover they have both had secret crushes on each other. Snowbound with the Biker is a great romantic biker and good girl story with a happy ending, too.
This is a story about a girl a good girl Who finally Gets her guy crush. It was a cute story wasn't long and I enjoyed it. It really had feelings and emotions throughout the story which made me stop and think. I think the characters were well written and The author brought you to a place where you could realize that this was indeed a Childhood crush. The plot being stuck in the mountains Was 1 that I've read in a lot of books. The ending was good because while it ended with a happy ever after it wasn't the typical they lived happily ever after because you want to read more of this couple.
Snowbound romances always strike me as contrived, and this was no exception. But what it lacked in originality of premise, it made up for in honest characterization--piling the brother's-best-friend trope on top of the snowbound-ness was a new combination for me, and one that worked to the story's advantage. Like the first novella in the series, I think there was enough potential meat here for a longer work, but I enjoyed the tidbit I got.
I really enjoyed they're stay in the cabin but can't help it if I'm not interested in anything else, non of it was all that realistic, plus how does the brother of all things end up cool with his best bud fucking his sister. Katlyn was really immature and not all that fun, she had to take a bet to even tell Hunter all these years how she felt, which ended up being really awkward. All in all Hunters character was fun, it was somewhat enjoyable for a short read.
Excellent book by Amy Lamont!! Kept my rapt attention all the way through. I usually prefer books with DPOV, but this book is so well written, I didn’t mind. I’m quite happy it’s part of a series cuz I can’t wait to read more about these fun and entertaining characters.
Kaitlyn and Hunter story is well written and ramps up to sensual without living you without the story and it continues the stories with her best friends and their stories. Ms. Lamont has a way of getting you invested on her stories quickly and keeping you hooked.
She has always been the good girl, staying away from bad boys sand working hard, but her life is still not what she wants.
Katelyn decides to go after what she has wanted since she was eleven, and that's Hunter. A motorcycle riding hottie who just happened to be exactly what she has craved since she first met him, and her brothers best friend.
OMG!!! Five BIG stars!! At one point I was laughing so hard my gut ached and I couldn't for the tears blurring my vision. Sweet seduction and romance and angst and comedy all in one sweet read.
Definitely a good, short read before bed. I've been reading a lot of novellas lately, and thank goodness most of them are decent ones. Including this one. I enjoyed reading this book and I think this is the first time I read work of this author. Look forward to read more!
I think this book was written for 14 year old girls who dream that what is scenario of a "crush" they had comes to fruition when they get older. Sappy. Cheesy. A make believe happily ever after will come true. So unbelievable.
Sweet story with lots of good times. The characters grew up next door to each other and misjudged their friendship. I'm just happy that good things come to those who wait.
Sweet but too short, this love story told half of the plot as a memory in the epilogue. I would rather see/ read the action as it happens and not passively hear about it much later. The characters and the writing were likable.
He's the bad boy next door neighbor that she was too shy to reach for, he's an ex-military man that grew up with a father that did a number on his self-esteem. Katelyn decides to go for the man she's loved for years even though he had no clue how she felt.

Katelyn Murphy is going for the gusto. She has had a crush on Hunter Lawson, the bad boy next door since she was 11, now she is going to do something about it. It was cute but I knew nothing about the characters other than they like sex a lot.
Getting it on with my unrequited high school crush would be just about the best love story I could imagine and Amy Lamont just wrote it for me!! Its everything teenage me ever hoped would happen with the guy who didnt know I existed. Just wonderful.
There wasn't a single thing I didn't love about this book. The characters and their chemistry were phenomenal. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series!
