Seeing in the Spirit Made Simple

Rate this book
Seeing in the Spirit Made Simple provides clear, simple, biblical instruction that will help you see into the invisible world of the spirit. It is the second book in The Kingdom of God Made Simple series; a self-study course designed to train believers how to live out the fullness of the life offered to us as heirs of God's kingdom. The predominant view in the church today holds that seeing in the spirit is a rare gift given to only a few special people, or an anointing we must seek. With the same straightforward, down-to-earth style used in Divine Healing Made Simple, the author holds this view up to the light of scripture, and suggests that it has no biblical basis. Rather than being a gift given by God to only a few people, seeing in the spirit is an innate ability we all possess, which lies undeveloped in most of us. Through prayer, training and exercise, this ability can be awakened and used by virtually anyone. The author provides Bible-based teaching along with dozens of testimonies and illustrations. There are also practical exercises at the end of the chapters to help develop your ability to see in the spirit. Praying Medic and his wife have only recently learned how to see in the spirit. Come along as they re-trace the path they’ve taken that has led them to see angels, demons and the heavenly realms. Whether you’re a seasoned seer or a newbie, you’ll learn from the experiences and insights they share. Not only will you develop better spiritual eyesight, but your relationship with God will grow too. Here’s a Preview of What You'll • Misconceptions and Myths About Seeing in the Spirit • The Biblical Basis for Seeing in the Spirit • The Nature of the Spiritual World • Angelic Appearances • The Word of Knowledge • Working Creative Miracles • Visiting the Heavenly Realms • Dreams, Visions and Trances • Interpreting Visual Revelation • Motives for Seeing in the Spirit • Seeing in the Spirit and Healing • Seeing in the Spirit and Prophecy • Seeing in the Spirit and Intercession • Seeing in the Spirit and Deliverance • Seeing in the Spirit and Spiritual Warfare • Seeing in the Spirit and Emotional Healing • How to Give a Prophetic Word From a Vision • How to Know if What You’re Seeing is From God

Maybe I'll get it someday, maybe not.

Having read Divine Healing Made Simple, there is no doubt in my mind that Praying Medic knows a bit how stuff works in the spirit realm. I have been more and more convinced that Western society has placed so much emphasis on the power of reason and logic, that we have lost sensitivity and skill in that other part of what we have: our spirit.

God works so simple, through the laying on of hands, through pictures in the imagination, through a "pressing" and "knowing" in our spirit, through dreams. Most of these things we have learned to be suspicious of in our culture. However, the beauty is that every human being has this and this is how God has designed us. That's why every uneducated, simple person can get deep revelation and wisdom from God that the most educated person can fail to receive.

This book relies heavily on the spirit-side, but, having only just starting out to discover these things, I found this book a step too far for me at this point.

The main problem I have is that this book relies heavily on personal experience, whereby the connection with Scripture is frequently lost. I am not saying that these experiences can not be legit or that the church in Acts didn't have these same experiences. However, when PM talks about spiritual portals, letting others function "under his spiritual authority" etc, that's a bit to extra-scriptural for my taste.

There is definitely some stuff in here for me to think about, but I also believe that everything should be validated by Scripture and some of things here simply can't be validated.

"On the shelve" for now.

I read this book the same way I grocery shop. If I like something I take it off the shelf. If not, I leave it there. There were things that inspired me. Other ideas I'll have to check more into.

The Kingdom of God is greater than we give it credit for. It's also a lot bigger than we could ever imagine and exciting. Years ago when I first learned I could see and hear in the spirit, I became interested. This book sparked more interest, causing me to want to go deeper.

I bought this book to find out what the writer's experiences were with seeing in the spirit. I wasn't looking for a theological framework or anything, just practical experiences. And that's what this book delivered, so I couldn't be happier with it. I didn't try the exercises, but I suspect that they would work.

Very thought provoking! I like how there are simple exercises included. Very uplifting, and designed to equip the believer to deal with what they see, not just to pay closer attention to what we see.

Seeing and then reading

I read this after I was suddenly propelled into the spiritual world (never even knowing that that was possible). The experiences and things Dave has seen, are very similar to my experiences. It was just nice reading confirmation about our spiritual beings and the world we must mirror here on earth.

Amazing!

I am so glad I took the time to read this book. It is so full of practical wisdom in getting to know God better by getting better at seeing in the Spirit. After all: it’s all about knowing God better and helping Him advance His kingdom.

Although this is a good book about seeing in the spirit, I can't apply it to my life. In the end, he said its best to deliver people from spirits with a team.

I like this author. He does what the title says and makes the things of God simple to understand.

I have read five books by this author. Will buy more. I follow his website as well. He makes serving God sound like the great adventure it is. People are hungry for true spiritual food. Praying Medic is the real deal. His desire is for you to go out as and do exploits for God.

Absolutely perfect for people who are just starting out in using their spiritual eyes. Praying Medic gives clear, biblical reasoning why we can and should desire to see into the spirit realm, especially for Christians. It was easy to read, and had good activations. This is a book that I will be coming back to over and over. Thanks PM.

Seeking a Deeper Relationship

A good read.....I appreciate his willingness to help others understand the deeper things of God as well as his willingness to share his experiences. "He that has an ear, let him hear" I would recommend this book to anyone seeking a deeper relationship with God. I plan to read book one too.

Wonderful book

This is a wonderful introduction to the supernatural. It emphasizes the importance of why Christians need to sharpen their spiritual sight. The author utilizes sound scriptural emphasis. It calls for greater intimacy with the holy spirit. I definitely recommend this book.
