Protect & Serve

Sandra Williams is a by-the-books detective with a job to do: Protect Nathaniel Hale, the most infuriatingly arrogant and hopelessly self-entitled billionaire playboy on the planet. There’s only one problem…
He’s the man who took her innocence…
It was supposed to be an easy ride… Just spend a few days shacked up in a cheap apartment until the bastard could testify.
The rules were simple. Keep him alive, keep him quiet, and don’t have sex with him… Again…
Two out of three isn’t bad…

Protect & Serve is a fully standalone novel with a HEA and NO CLIFFHANGER!

Three chapters in and I knew I couldn't go on. So many things made me roll my eyes and say really? The opening scene was beyond believable and it seemed to get even more silly as I read further. I'm glad there are readers that truly enjoyed the story. The only thing I can say is I'm glad it was a free one click for me.

Ridiculous!

I spent most my time making eye rolling gestures to the ceiling. The characters along with the whole story was under developed. I still can't figure out why the leading characters were in loved. The attempt to make this an action pack romantic suspenseful novel was dismal, at best.

My first book by this author.

This is Chandra and Nathalie' story. This will not be everyone's cup of tea because they get steamy very early in the story. I loved it. The story had action, betrayal, murder and suspense. If you love crime series like Law and Order, Prime Suspect and those kinds of TV Programmes then you will love this book.

Great read and I would recommend it!

I thought this started out so good and interesting but not 14 hours later this heroine who is suppose to professional guarding this guy a man she could hardly stand and what I would call a man, she is having sex with him and all because she saw his penis, what a superficial and sluttish officer of the this is.

I guess this will be another of those trying to turn sex and lust into love book.

This heroine is weak with no self respect or she wouldn't be having sex with a practical stranger on the job. this is not an heroine I could like, respect or relate to.

If you're looking for an emotionless sex book read this, if you're looking for a true romantic read I suggest to look else where.
Damn shame, this could have been such a good read.

Not a bad story rest. But it read like a boring soap opera. I wanted to like her overall character but she fluctuated a lot in who she was. She mentioned always that she was a strong black woman. Over and over again and it was redundant. The story always focused on her blackness instead of the two protagonists. The white dude, the white man was a stereotypical entitled man. But his character grew. You get from the get go that he wants to know more about her. You want to know but her a non entity at most moments. You think that you should be able to get a hint at least as to what he's thinking.

Very Good

This was a high octane sexy romance. This was a very good story, well thought out cop mystery surrounded by a sexy romance. The chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts. This is also a refreshing change from the male comes to save the day,the alpha female is in charge without being overbearing. There are also some funny moments that make this a well rounded story.A story you want to invest your time and reading smarts.

A quick entertaining read

I enjoyed reading this but I didn't obsess over it. I loved how the cop was a female this time, protecting the male but I wanted more. They have a history and I felt like that should've been explored more. We never really get a feel for the hero and since it was just in Sandra's pov, you don't know what he's thinking etc. There was plenty of action and suspense though.

This was a good book. I liked how Nathan and Chandra both overcame their demons. I wanted a little more growth from Nathan. I wanted to see what he was thinking if would have been good to get a POV on him as well. The ending was a little rushed. All in all it was not a bad read to be free on Amazon. First time reading a book by this author and I will read another book by her in the future.

Boring

I've never read a book with so many action scenes but still be so slow. This arthur drags scenes out to long. I found myself skipping ahead and still not missing anything. I couldn't even get into the sex scenes. Boring. Pass.

I really, sincerely enjoyed this BWWM romance. The sex scenes are steamy and the action is absolutely riveting. I felt drawn in to every single moment, and Chandra is a heroine I could really identify with——smart, driven, strong, and clever as hell. Great debut from Kat Jackson!

Good read!

This is my first reading of this author. Really liked her take on an interracial love story. The book had some nice love scenes but a little bit of suspense included which made it interesting to read. I'll read more of this author in the future.

I enjoyed reading Kat Jackson's book, Protect And Serve. It's a well written book. Very steamy. Protect And Serve is a short read, great for those with limited time for reading. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Needed more time to completely develop story. Felt something was missing. Not enough meat,,felt more was needed in the middle.

3.5 stars. A bit of a rushed feeling to some parts of the storyline, but the twists and turns in the plot kept it interesting.

This book was just ok. Typical story where poor girl meets rich billionaire with a happy ending. I've read this story line so many times.
