Writing on Water is a treasure trove of spontaneous utterances, insights and drawings gathered over the past decade from Mooji’s notebooks, private meetings, and Satsangs held around the world. It is an outpouring of creative joy from one of those rare beings gracing this planet who is not only awake, but is also able drive the mind back into its source through the authority of his words and presence.
Mooji is a true light in this world, whose presence, wisdom and loving guidance points us to who we are beyond the limitations of our conditioning and identity. Since 1999, Mooji has been sharing Satsang with seekers in search of the direct experience of Truth. In these open interactions, he introduces the direct path to freedom through self-inquiry and The Invitation, the most effective aids for true and lasting Self-discovery.
Mooji's lyrical writing style is both beautiful and straightforward. Each small phrase is rich in wisdom, easily understood, and powerful. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
We all know that 70% of our body is water. Though it is not very conspicuous, every cell and tissue contains water. What if, one day, you can feel the presence of water in your body? What if, you feel that water in you as cool as a mountain spring, and just as cool as the first rain? Something that brings life and harmony, clears all the dust and confusion, and settles down deep within. All the murky waters of yore settle, and you see in it the peace that you are. I nursed these poems in me in the course of two months. Like any writing on water, it is untraceable.
Mooji has a gift with words, to capture the mind to assist it to look away from itself and be captured by the Truth. His pointings are simple and profound. This collection of sayings reminds me much of koans; like koan collections, one could contemplate one saying a lifetime. I found it most helpful to read many pages in succession, so feeling the sense of bathing in the Truth that appears in different disguises ~ so to speak, letting the Truth soak in.
