A magnetic encounter in the middle of the club, and a shoot-out later, Malice finds himself with a beautiful stranger. With no real expectations, he shares an adventurous weekend with the most exciting woman he’s ever met. Unfortunately, when the time ends, they both have to revisit reality and the people they weren’t quite done with. Then even as they try to do what’s right, gravity seems to pull them back together. Eventually, they come to a crossroad, and decides that when the heart speaks to just listen.
This was a really good book!!! From the beginning it grabbed my attention! Jaylah & Malice met in the most unconventional way. They were drawn together from the beginning & the chemistry between them even briefly was magnetic! Unfortunately they both had situations they felt confined to due to their loyalty. Their brief encounter left them connected for a lifetime. Once they ran into each other again there was no denying their connection!
This book was filled with drama from the past & present! Two exes that wouldn’t let go & 2 people who couldn’t deny their feelings for each other any longer deciding to step away from what they were used to & give something new a try! I loved their bond & the way they both refused to let the past hold them back!
I’ve been reading Nicole Jackson’s books for a long time, all the way back to black reign and kodoa . I use to stay up late just to buy them as soon as they dropped fast forward I probably check out her new books twice a year now. over time I have come to realization she hasn’t really evolved her plots as an author in all these years. Many of her storylines follow the same plot verbatim, making all or most of the characters unlikable . This book started off really good but by the middle of the book it was the same ole same ole.
Jaylah, is a bit to childish for me and I know she is only 21. But honey u had a whole baby and I want this man to be grown and act grown and change his lifestyle. But every time u get mad u wanna wear pussy cutters and get drunk cause u rich man by I only got 69% I can’t
This being my first read from the author I know it won’t be the last at all. The characters are great but Paisley was doing too much over a nigga she was broken up with after she put him out. Jaylah definitely that girl and I love that for her. Zae got what he deserved Malice is that man 100 grand. He really stepped when it came for Jaylah hell he did it for Paisley til she started her bs. Jaylah being from family she is her standards for a man was high bc her daddy Jaheim set the bar high for her and her sisters. This book was good as hell and that ending was great
I absolutely love the way Ms. Nicole writes. I’ve been a fan of her books ever since She Gotta Have It, and she’s still one of my go-to authors. This book was incredibly well written from beginning to end. I especially love how she gives little updates on some of my favorite characters throughout the story—it makes the books feel so connected and rewarding for longtime readers. I couldn’t put it down, and now I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
I have read everyone of one of Ms queen pen but promiscuous girl and trust I will get to it, but this one here I loved it just like that very first Hold It Down book and the second one where jah got to tell how it really went down, but I have to say that Malice is indeed Big Jahrein clone and the love they had for they women had me saying only in Texas and poor Paisley didn’t have a clue and her daddy did not do his research. 🧐
Malice is strong, family oriented and a laid back thinker who moves with intention. Jaylah is a good girl with naughty undertones, loyal, smart and confident. They’re a match made somewhere between heaven and hell. They met in the club, joked about wifey and husband and ended up being prophetic. This book had the right amount of drama, sex, romance, violence, and fun! Read it, you’ll love it.
My coworker has been recommending Nicole Jackson to me for the longest and today I took the chance. Oh my goodness!! Surprise, Surprise!!! Why have I waited this long??!! I've been missing out on greatness. My first read by this author and I'm hooked!! I'm so Ms Jackson I have been sleeping on you. I won't ever again. I read this out of order with the series. I'm going to read Freeze and then start from the beginning.
Jahlay thought Malice was a joke, but boy did he show her. But I loved Jahlay though she was smart and intelligent, but she kept underestimating Malice. He loved her from day one and stood ten toes down for his family. I loved the way they had to grow and learn to trust each other. I loved this book!!!
Nicole Jackson has strewn together such an amazing family dynamic . With Malice and Jaylah right in the mix fitting perfectly . Their love story was one for the books .
She never miss!!! All of her books are worth reading over and over again!!! Nicole, you always do your big one! Grammar errors were present, but they did not take from the storyline when you can make out exactly what the author is saying.
The way I couldn’t stop reading. This book will keep you on your toes from beginning to end. I was praying that Malice didn’t get killed. Favorite book, favorite couple!!!
Absolutely read it. I loved these two together and I loved Malice even more. Now I won’t say there wasn’t some growing pains and Malice had to show Jaylah exactly who he was but ima stick beside them lol. Secret baby trope. Get into it.
This was my first read by this author and let me tell you she did not dissapoint!! I loved Malice and Jaylah! Jaylah new her worth she was not impressed my money or status because she both!!
This was my first read by the author and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed this book omg. I literally felt like I knew the characters. Now I have to dive into her catalogue.
loved this book! when strangers collide in the best and worst way. timing is always everything! one weekend and 9 months later, hearts are broken. it's so crazy what a girl would do behind some d*ck but big daddy malice wasn't allowing no disrespect
