This book was written about my sweet friend who passed away when I was in middle school. If you want to read about a girl who loved Jesus and united her suffering to the cross by saying YES every day then this is a book for you! you will for sure cry!
I read this book because I wanted to learn more about Lily, a little girl who inspired thousands in her battle with cancer. Lily breathed love into life and her mom, Jennifer Anderson, does a beautiful job capturing and sharing these moments. Despite the heartbreaking subject matter of cancer, this is an uplifting story about a girl who chose to live an optimistic "YES" life even through difficult circumstances. It's about a family who fought and did not give up, relying on "Anderson Power" and "whispers" from God to strengthen their faith. After reading this book, I know that Lily's purpose here on Earth was to spread faith, hope, and love to everyone she encountered. Sometimes God chooses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Lily was that girl. Thank you Jennifer for sharing her story.
Following Lily's journey through her Great Aunt Kim, I feel like I knew her personally. Thank you for writing Lily's story so the gaps were filled in, but more importantly sharing her light. God is amazing if we just listen for his whispers..... I think everyone should read this book. No matter how short or long our life is, how we live it matters. Make it a "YES!" Life.
