Casey works as a radio host on an night show. James is her boss and calls her on the show every night to invite her to dinner, but Casey always turns him down.
Casey has a stalker and that’s why James insists on taking her home always, besides he keeps trying to convince her. And finally one night Casey gives in.

“But, you’re my boss.” “You said that already, and that’s the most bullshit excuse you’ve given me since we met.” His lips touch mine, cutting off any retort I might have had.

“You’re not playing by the rules, Casey.”“What fucking rules, James?” He cocks his head, smiling. I’ll curse him until I’m blue in the face if he keeps this up. Denial makes me cranky. “Casey, I dictate how this happens.” He grabs the back of his shirt and pulls it off over his head, dropping it to the floor. He kicks off his shoes, unbuttoning his jeans. He pulls them down, along with his underwear, leaving my boss standing there in all his naked erect glory. A hand comes to cover my mouth and I realize it’s my own. “Oh, my god,” I mutter, looking him over. I like what I see and he knows it. James Austin is one cocky son of a bitch. “You know, you made me wait eighteen months and it’s only been fifteen minutes.” “What are you talking about? I’m still not sure we should be doing this. Are you punishing me?”“For each month you’ve said no, I’m exacting a minute of torture. So am I punishing you? In a matter of speaking, I am. This is going to be the longest three minutes of your life, sweet girl.”“Sweet girl, make no mistake about it. You are mine.”

“How do you want it later?”“What?” Her eyes are dark slits, lips swollen. “When I fuck you, because I will fuck you later, how do want it?”“You must tell me where you find your lingerie.” “Why do you want to know?”“So I can buy you more when I tear this to shreds.”

What I do know is I can’t be with a guy who’s going to beat up every asshole we encounter. I just can’t. “I can’t do this James. It’s all too much. You’re too much.”“Can we not do this through your apartment door? Please Casey.”“I like my door. The door feels safe.”“You’re afraid I’m going to swallow you up whole and take away your control.”James rails against the door, using his pop psychology to coax me. It’s the bang of his fist a moment later—angry, hard, and loud against the door—that makes me jump away for a moment. “I would never hurt you, Casey… whatever you’re thinking, stop.” Now isn’t that the crux of this? I can’t stop thinking about it. “Open the door so we can talk about this. Please.” I struggle to decide what to do and my hesitation is frightening me. “James, I think we need…” I take a breath to gather my words, but he interrupts me. “No, sweetheart. I want us to fight this together so we don’t have to deal with it ever again. I want us to always be stronger than the bullshit brewing here. We’ve got to talk about this.”

The stalker gets Casey out of a job, almost kills her when a fire destroys her building and all bc she gets in the way. James will do everything to protect her although with his methods he almost loses her.

A erotic quickie as SE Hall & Angela Graham would put it M.C. Cerny's Night Owl is definitely now my favorite. Can't wait for book 2 . Casey and James are so hot together

I finished this one with mixed feelings. I loved James and Casey. They have good chemistry and their banter is great. They also have some steamy fun that's hot enough to peel the paint off the walls. Then, we get to the suspense portion of this tale, which was way too easy to figure out - as in almost from the first time the antagonist is mentioned. That left the only mystery to be what the person was going to do next. The storyline is James and Casey's romance for the most part, but if there's going to be a mystery, at least make it somewhat mysterious. Finally, we have the reading experience overall. I have to say, this author certainly has a way with words. In fact, there were some lines that were the type that grab a reader and stick with them. On the other side of that, there were also several grammatical issues and typos, which was disappointing since the blurb tells us the story has been re-edited. Most of these were small issues, and I knew what should've been there, but it still creates a distraction and pulls the reader out of the story. This is an entertaining and scorching hot romance that could easily be a five-star read with a bit of polish.

James breaks through Casey’s reserve, but he is way too much to handle and she backpedals on him. We learn of her creepy neighbor, and the stalker who send things in the mail.

Great read by M.C. Cerny. James and Casey are crazy hot together. Casey is the late night radio host of Casey's Confessions. She takes her "Night Owl" listeners' calls with their confessions. And every night her sexy, rich and determined boss calls and invites her to dinner. And every night she turns him down. James has wanted Casey since he laid eyes on her. He is determined to change her mind. As James and Casey give in to their attraction, Casey has to deal with a stalker. Can James save Casey from her stalker and win her heart? Wow! This is hot. In this edition the mains are James and Casey, and their chemistry is intense (Erotic) Opposites really do attract sometimes.
Giving you all the feels as there's a mystery to solve that is life threatening, I so enjoyed this. Their story and their heat hooked me from the start and it was fast reading.

At first I though the story was a bit slow, but then it picked up and then I couldn't put it down until I read the whole series. I love when women get the confidence they should have in themselves and then they become the smarky (smart and snarky) women they were meant to be with a loving and devoted man by their side.

Casey Cole is the late night radio host, for Casey's Confessions. She is barely making enough money with her night job and walking dogs when she gets a stalker. She has worked her way up to this job over a few years, so she doesn't want to give it up. Plus, her boss keeps asking her out on air. It is almost a joke, except after the stalker starts, between her producer and him, he gives her a ride home to her dump of an apartment in a bad part of Philly.

James Austin is the head of Austin Communications and has been crazy about Casey since the first time he heard her doing a traffic report. Since he got to know her more, he was actively interested in her. For 18 months he pursued her until one night/morning they finally caved in.

Someone recorded them during a passionate moment and had it aired on Casey's show, when it was supposed to be a song request. Yes, she got in trouble with the FAA, but so did the radio station. Then there was the fire in her apartment building that the alarms didn't work.

They had things they had to work on between them along with trying to figure out who her stalker was.

James has been asking out his night DJ for months now. She keeps putting him off, content with basking in her insecurities (she's a curvy girl) and giving the excuse that he's her boss, but how much longer can she put him off? Keep her attraction to him hidden?

Once I got into Night Owl, about a quarter of the way in, I stayed engaged and interested in it. I love James and Casey together, especially as she starts to build her self-confidence, starts realizing that James is all in with her, and loves her curves, and the rest of her. There's a bit of suspense which helped move the story line along, and James and Casey's smokin hot chemistry cements the story perfectly.

I really enjoyed this set of stories, the books have mystery, action, humor and romance. The chemistry between the two main characters, Casey and James is excellent and their dialogue is funny at times. It’s not all fun and games though as Casey ends up with a stalker and that’s never fun! This is a great set and well worth the read, each individual book/story is pretty short and so you can conveniently take a break if you really want to, but you may find you don’t want to put this down till the end so make sure you have a comfy reading spot!

Decent romantic suspense. Casey and James have been circling each other for a year and a half. She has been afraid to let James in because he is rich and her boss. James is sweet in that he waited as long as he did before making his move and making sure Casey was protected from a stalker. The story quickly grabbed my interest and held on to the end. However, I was slightly annoyed with Casey because it seemed like she was always running away instead of standing up and fighting against circumstances.

Well written with plenty of humor and even more steamy scenes, I enjoyed this entertaining set of books. The writing flowed well. The characters were also vastly entertaining. The banter was believable and I found myself laughing on numerous occasions. Drama, intrigue and suspense were prevalent throughout though the main storyline was the unique attraction between the two main characters. I loved his character as crafted by the author. Who wouldn't want someone to treat them like that? Great storytelling. Recommend

Casey is a night host for a radio show and James is the radio station owner who has the hots for Casey but she doesn't mind a little hands on therapy that is all she expects. Casey also has a problem with a stalker sending her threatening letters and James wants to protect her. Loved this suspense and romance book with great characters.

I really enjoyed this series. Casey is the late night DJ for a radio station and James is the station owner. They sling words back and forth during the radio show, building up an audience. James has been in love with Casey for some time, while Casey tries not to let her feelings interfere with her work. A stalker complicates matters. Good characters and lots of romance and suspense.

I got an ARC of Night Owl, and I have to say that I love the story between Casey and James. I loved having the Alpha male falling in love with a curvy girl. James was demanding and sweet at the same time. Casey was unique and independent. If you want not your regular boss-employee love story., give Night Owl a try.

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.

This is a very interesting romantic suspense novel. Casey is a late night talk show host and James is her boss who likes curvy women. Casey fits the bill but rebuffs all his advances because she just knows it's a bad idea. But then in a moment of weakness, she gives in. James is relentless and Casey is putty in his hands. Very nice hot love scenes and the suspense takes a bit to figure out. Who has it in for Casey? I enjoyed it very much and recommend it.

I so loved this series James just wouldn’t give up on the woman of his dreams and Cassie although felt the chemistry she just didn’t want to be known as the woman who slept her way to the top and that’s just the beginning to this storyline that has vindictive and crazy woman, stalker, blackmailer you name and this book probably has it. I read this in one seating that’s how good I found it to be.
